Senator Joe Manchin engagement report
@Sen_JoeManchin - 333K followers on X
Measured over 6 original posts from a 30-day window, last computed on October 10, 2026.
Engagement
Early reading. We have captured 6 original posts for this account, below the 8 we require before treating a median as settled. The numbers above describe what we have seen so far, not a finished profile of the account.
A typical post picks up 116 interactions against 333K followers, an engagement rate of 0.035%. Posts are seen about 10K times each, and 1.15% of those impressions turn into an interaction. That is about 3.02% of the follower count, which is the gap between an audience on paper and an audience in a timeline. Posting runs at about 0.2 posts a day over the last 30 days, though only 17% of days saw any activity at all. Most posts go out around 15:00 UTC, and Friday is the busiest day of the week. Of the 6 posts sampled, 83% carry an image or video and 17% link out. The account's strongest tracked post pulled 4.5K interactions, about 39x its own typical post. Only 6 original posts have been captured so far, fewer than the 8 posts we want behind a median before treating it as settled. Read the figures above as an early measurement of this account, not as a finished profile of it.

Formats this account uses
Its own posting mix on the left, and what each of those formats does across every account we track on the right. Only formats where the effect clears our publish test appear here, so an empty row is a format we could not measure rather than one that does nothing.
| Format | This account | Catalog effect | 95% interval | Accounts behind it |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Image or video | 83% of posts | +111% | +108% to +115% | 34K |
| Outbound link | 17% of posts | -41% | -42% to -40% | 32K |
| Typical length | - | +15% | +14% to +16% | 32K |
- 83% of this account's sampled posts carry an image or video. Across the catalog, posts with an image or video run 111% above the same accounts' other posts.
- 17% of its posts carry a link off X. Across the catalog, posts with an outbound link run 41% below the same accounts' other posts.
- Its average post runs 649 characters, which falls in the over 280 characters band. Across the catalog, posts over 280 characters run 15% above the same accounts' other posts.
These are catalog-wide differences applied to this account's own posting mix, not a measurement of how each format performs for this account specifically. We keep one median per account, not one per format per account, so the second thing is not something this data can tell you.

As a former Governor of West Virginia, former Chair of the Democratic Governors Association, and former Chair of the National Governors Association, I am urging President Trump to reconsider the decision to exclude Democratic governors from White House meetings held around the upcoming NGA conference in Washington. The National Governors Association exists for one reason: to bring governors of both parties together as the collective voice of the states and help them solve real problems for the people they serve. That mission has always been bipartisan, and it has always mattered. Governors — Democrats and Republicans alike — are responsible for the same core challenges: growing the economy, improving education, strengthening infrastructure, protecting public safety, and delivering results. The NGA is one of the few places where those leaders come together to share ideas and find solutions that work across party lines. Shutting out governors based on party affiliation doesn’t just undermine the NGA, it undermines the citizens those governors were elected to represent. Leadership means bringing people together, especially when it’s hard. This decision should be reconsidered. https://t.co/0ak1fL8Lr1

When Democrats wanted to eliminate the filibuster in 2022, I stood my ground because I understood the consequences of turning the Senate into a glorified House with simple majority rule. Senator John Cornyn said of Democrats at the time: “They'll soon find themselves rueing the day their party broke the Senate.” The filibuster exists to make both sides work together and produce good legislation that can withstand the test of time. Eliminating the filibuster would consolidate even more power into the hands of the majority party’s leadership — and take power away from the minority and everyday Americans. When I was a U.S. Senator, there was not another person more committed to keeping the filibuster than Senator John Cornyn. He understood the incredible political pressure I faced from my former party to get rid of the filibuster and give Democrats complete power — and at the time, he understood why neither party should take our country past this point of no return. The filibuster — the soul of the Senate — has preserved the Senate’s role for nearly 250 years as the institution that cools passions, protects minority voices, and demands consensus. America was built on institutions designed to resist political convenience, not surrender to it. It’s deeply disappointing to see that Senator Cornyn is now willing to scrap the very rule he once praised and personally thanked me for defending. These extreme election-year politics that put party power over everything else are why Americans are sick and tired of the duopoly of the two-party system of Democrats and Republicans.

I’m asking my Republican and Democrat friends in Congress to put politics aside and demand complete, fair, and independent federal investigations into the loss of American lives in the streets of Minnesota as a result of the shootings by federal agents. Everyone — especially the families of those who died and the officers involved in these shootings — deserves accountability for these horrific tragedies.

Gayle and I send our heartfelt condolences and prayers to the entire Graham family and all of his associates and friends. Lindsey was a good friend — a person you could always talk to and work with. No matter how tense the subject may be, he could put levity to everything. Every politician wishes they had likability, and Lindsey had it in spades. No matter what you thought of him, if you ever knew him or talked to him, you walked away liking him, and that’s a gift. Lindsey will be missed by the U.S. Senate, the people of South Carolina, and all of those who came to know him over the years. Please join Gayle and me in praying for the Graham family during this difficult time.

Today, the world lost an incredible woman with a heart bigger than her home state of Tennessee. Dolly Parton used her God-given gifts to uplift the hearts and minds of millions of people through multiple generations. Dolly spoke to all of us through her music — it was genuine and from the heart. She cared deeply about her state and Appalachia. She visited West Virginia in 2022 to celebrate her Imagination Library program, which makes free books available to children aged 0 to 5 in all 55 counties. We will forever be grateful for Dolly giving West Virginia children the gift of literacy. Dolly was a world treasure. Gayle and I are praying for her family, friends, and her fans around the world as we mourn this tremendous loss.

Please join Gayle and me in praying for the family of U.S. Army Spc. Sarah Beckstrom of the @WVNationalGuard, who died in the line of duty following a heinous, targeted attack on Guardsmen serving in our nation’s capital. West Virginia has a long history of answering the call of duty. The WV National Guard is the best in the nation, and no matter where in the world their orders take them, the men and women of the WV National Guard serve with pride, bravery, and professionalism. It is unconscionable that anyone could commit such a senseless act of violence against brave servicemembers who are proudly serving our country. Spc. Sarah Beckstrom will forever be remembered as a hero. May God bless her family, and the men and women of the West Virginia National Guard, as they mourn this horrific loss. I urge all West Virginians and Americans to continue praying for SSgt. Andrew Wolfe, who was also injured in yesterday’s attack.
