Sawyer Merritt engagement report
@SawyerMerritt - 1.1M followers on X
Measured over 72 original posts from a 30-day window, last computed on September 1, 2026.
Engagement
A typical post picks up 2.6K interactions against 1.1M followers, an engagement rate of 0.228%. Measured over 72 original posts, its engagement rate beats 85% of 3,774 tracked accounts of a similar size. Comparing inside a size band matters here: engagement rate falls as accounts grow, so a raw rate would mostly just re-measure the follower count. Posts are seen about 170K times each, and 1.51% of those impressions turn into an interaction. That is about 15.1% of the follower count, which is the gap between an audience on paper and an audience in a timeline. Posting runs at about 6.1 posts a day over the last 30 days, though only 40% of days saw any activity at all. Most posts go out around 15:00 UTC, and Thursday is the busiest day of the week. Of the 72 posts sampled, 92% carry an image or video, 18% are part of a thread and 17% link out. The account's strongest tracked post pulled 69K interactions, about 27x its own typical post.

Compared with accounts its own size
Sawyer Merritt's engagement rate beats 85% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (3,774 accounts, accounts of similar size (decile 9 of 10)). A percentile is spread evenly by construction, so 50 really is the middle of that group and 90 really is its top tenth.
On engagement per impression rather than per follower it beats 62% of the same group. When those two numbers disagree, the gap is about how far its posts travel rather than how people react to them.
Where this sits in the catalog
At 0.228%, Sawyer Merritt sits above the 50th percentile of the 36,521 accounts in this comparison. That places it in the above the median band, which runs 0.08% to 0.434%.

Posting timing
This account posts most often around 15:00 UTC, and Thursday is its busiest day of the week. The bars below are the catalog-wide pattern, with this account's own busiest slot marked. They do not show how this account performs at each hour: we keep one aggregate per account, not one per hour, so that measurement does not exist in our data.

Elon Musk checking out @SpaceX's new Starbase, Louisiana location. Elon: "If you want to make life mutli-planetary, you need serious tonnage. I think we're going to bring 10,000 really exciting jobs to Louisiana. I think Starbase is cool. Starbase, Louisiana it is." https://t.co/bdoAMbR5vk

This morning’s @SpaceX mission from pad 40 was the last planned Falcon 9 Starlink launch from Florida (and it launched on the fleet leading booster!!), marking the end of an era for these launches on the East Coast. From here on, Starlink missions out of Florida will fly on Starship. The West Coast team will continue regularly launching Starlink from Vandenberg. Super proud of this incredible team. You’ve made Falcon 9 the most reliable launch vehicle in history. You also helped build the largest low-Earth orbit satellite constellation providing connectivity to millions around the world, and you’ve set the foundation for what’s next. In the last seven years, Falcon has flown ~260 Starlink missions from the Cape… can’t wait until we launch that and many more with Starship!

SpaceX has just officially announced Starbase, Louisiana, a new $100+ billion spaceport in South Louisiana near Pecan Island. Construction starts in 2027, with the first Starship launch from the new site planned for 2029. Starbase, Louisiana will be built to support thousands of Starship flights a year. This self-sustaining spaceport will have propellant production, power generation, deep-water shipping capabilities, vehicle processing facilities, and an airport. SpaceX is committed to investing at least $100 billion and creating more than 3,000 new jobs at Starbase, Louisana hiring heavily from nearby communities and utilizing Louisiana workers’ extensive experience of building complex infrastructure in their unique environment. In Vermilion Parish, the shoreline is eroding between 3.3 and 23 feet per year. SpaceX is partnering with state and federal agencies to expand Louisiana’s Coastal Master Plan and Coastal Wetlands Planning, Protection and Restoration Act projects, including Gulf shoreline protection breakwaters designed to reduce wave energy and slow loss along the Gulf edge.

Mona, a member of the Federation of the Blind, gave amazing testimony yesterday about @Tesla’s Cybercab after sitting in it this week: "To have something like the Cybercab would be very beneficial to us as the blind community; It’s got Braille in there. Nobody else has Braille. This would be so beneficial. The app is wonderful. There’s space to put the wheelchair. They can just push themselves right in. A lot of times, the Uber and Lyft if they see you with a dog or cane, they drive right past you. With Cybercab, it doesn't know that you're blind. It doesn't know that you're in a wheelchair. It just knows that you need a ride, so I completely love the car. Just sitting in it, how comfortable it is, just knowing something is accessible - it’s the most amazing thing out there." JPMorgan after meeting with Tesla recently in Fremont: "Tesla indicated it is intentionally holding back on adding Model Y units to the robotaxi fleet, expressing confidence in its ability to scale Cybercab in the near-term. On FSD V15, Tesla views this release as a step-change in performance, comparable to the leap from V13 to V14. The V15 upgrade encompasses seven core technologies, with ~40% of those currently being tested in the robotaxi fleet, where initial feedback has been encouraging. Tesla continues to focus on minimizing regression in core driving functions as it introduces new functionalities to the system, and FSD V15 is seen as the primary gateway to scaling unsupervised FSD. While the current AI/HW4 stack is capable of running V15 and supporting unsupervised FSD, Tesla’s AI4.5 compute system is designed to future-proof against rising compute (~10% higher FLOPS) and memory (~2x higher) demands as robotaxi models scale and context windows expand. Management also reiterated that the Cybercab is just the initial form factor, with additional vehicle types expected to follow as the platform evolves (citing the obovan demo from the 10/10 event as an example). Optimus is on track for SoP in the coming months with commercial sales expected as early as 2H27. The Gen 3 unveil will be timed closer to SoP to protect competitive advantage, while the scope of Gen 4 (in terms of capability, cost, and scalability) will be informed by Gen 3 field experience." JPMorgan toured Tesla's Fremont factory and met with the IR team, and maintained its $TSLA price target of $475.

This is cool, you can now give Grok a ton of commands at once in your Tesla and it’ll do them all together. The commands I gave: • Fold mirrors • Turn on wipers to fastest setting • Change temp to 65° • Open self-driving app • Open glovebox Comes with Tesla’s 2026 Summer Update.

- What is Sawyer Merritt's engagement rate on X?
- Sawyer Merritt (@SawyerMerritt) has an engagement rate of 0.228%, based on the median interactions across 72 original posts from the last 30 days against 1,121,828 followers. Replies, reposts and quote-posts of other people are excluded from that sample.
- Is that a good engagement rate?
- At 0.228%, Sawyer Merritt sits above the 50th percentile of the 36,521 accounts in this comparison. Those comparison accounts are all large ones, because our scanning cadence is weighted towards big accounts, so this is a ranking among peers of similar scale rather than a ranking across X.
- Does @SawyerMerritt have real engagement?
- Its engagement rate beats 85% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (3,774 accounts), which puts it in the top quarter for its size group. Ranking inside a size band matters because engagement rate falls as accounts grow, so a raw rate would mostly re-measure the follower count. It is a starting point for a look at follower quality, not a verdict on it.
- When does @SawyerMerritt post?
- Most posts go out around 15:00 UTC, and Thursday is its busiest day, at roughly 6.07 posts per day across the measured window.
