في ذكرى الوحدة اليمنية الخالدة أدعو الى ثورة وعي نحو تصحيح السردية اليمنية: من وهم “الشطرين” إلى حقيقة اليمن الواحد بجهاته الأربع شرقا وغربا وشمالا وجنوبا والذي تم بتضحيات ونضالات اليمنيين طيلة العقود الماضية حتى وصلنا الى الصيغة الأفضل والأسلم وهي الدولة الاتحادية من ستة اقاليم وفق مخرجات الحوار الوطني الشامل أحد أهم المرجعيات الثلاث المتفق عليها وطنيا واقليميا ودوليا لنبني اليمن السعيد على أسس الشراكة والعدالة والحكم الرشيد . لقد تعرض الوعي اليمني خلال العقود الماضية لتشوهات مفاهيمية عميقة كان من أبرزها ترسيخ مصطلحات التشطير وكأن اليمن كيانان تاريخيان منفصلان جمعتهما الوحدة السياسية لاحقًا. غير أن القراءة الدقيقة للتاريخ والدساتير والهوية الوطنية تكشف أن هذه المصطلحات الشطرية غير موجودة وهذه السردية ليست توصيفًا موضوعيًا بقدر ما هي نتاج ظروف سياسية مؤقتة فرضتها الإمامة والاستعمار والحرب الباردة. واليمن في جوهره التاريخي والحضاري والإنساني ظل وطنًا واحدًا متعدد المناطق والحواضن الاجتماعية من تهامة غرب اليمن الى حضرموت والمهره شرق اليمن ومن آزال شمال اليمن مرورا بسبأ والجند وسط اليمن الى عدن جنوب اليمن لا كيانين منفصلين جمعتهما الصدفة. ومن هنا فإن إعادة بناء السردية الوطنية تبدأ أولًا من تصحيح اللغة لأن الكلمات تصنع الوعي والوعي يصنع المستقبل لذلك أدعو رجال الدولة ومؤسساتها الرسمية وصناع القرار وصناع الرأس العام وكل أبناء اليمن في الداخل والمهجر الى تصحيح المصطلحات والسرديات المغلوطة وبناء سردية وطنية صحيحة نلتزم بها جميعا .
