Moselakgomo reportedly left her home in Kempton Park during the afternoon, to go for a run and has not returned. She left behind her eight-year-old daughter. When she failed to return home later on that evening, her daughter contacted family members, who subsequently reported her disappearance to the police. Since the disappearance was reported, police have been conducting searches and following up on all available leads, in an effort to locate Moselakgomo. Police have also made enquiries at hospitals and mortuaries, but these efforts have so far yielded no positive results. The circumstances surrounding her disappearance are currently being investigated, and police are pursuing every possible lead to establish her whereabouts and ensure her safe return to her family. SAPS is making an urgent appeal to members of the public, the media and the social media community to assist in locating Moselakgomo, who may also be known to people as Tsontso. Anyone who may have seen her, knows her whereabouts, or has any information that could assist the investigation is urged to immediately contact Warrant Officer Elvis Manyike on 082 465 7249. Members of the public are urged to share this appeal widely across social media platforms and community networks. Even seemingly insignificant information could prove crucial in locating her. On Friday, 18 September 2026, at approximately 11:00, members of the Beitbridge Port of Entry Task team, were conducting a roadblock at Baobab Tollgate when they stopped a white Toyota Hilux bearing and fitted with a canopy. The vehicle was driven by a 32-year-old man, accompanied by a 41-year-old passenger. Both individuals are foreign nationals from Tanzania. During the inspection, the driver and passenger indicated that they did not have the keys to the canopy's padlock. This raised suspicion among the police members, who instructed them to proceed to the Beitbridge border facility for further inspection. Upon arrival at the border, the officers opened the canopy in the presence of the occupants, leading to the discovery of 33 bags containing dagga weighing 991.5 kilograms, with an estimated street value of approximately R1.5 million. Both suspects were arrested and are expected to appear before the Musina Magistrate's Court on Monday, 21 September 2026, facing charges relating to dealing in dagga. On Monday 14 September 2026, members of the Provincial Organised Crime Unit together with Tzaneen Detectives operationalised information about a Nigerian male suspect aged 37 who was allegedly supplying drugs around the Mankweng and Tzaneen precincts. The information further indicated that the drug dealer normally meets with his customers at Voortrekker Street in Polokwane and drives a white Tata Indica motor vehicle. The teams immediately operationalised the information and positively spotted the motor vehicle at Voortrekker Street. When police attempted to stop it, the suspect fled the scene and a car chase ensued until he was apprehended inside the yard of a house at 37 Plein Street in Polokwane. Police searched the suspect and his motor vehicle and discovered 345.4 grams of Crystal Meth and 211.5 grams of heroin with an estimated street value of R50,000. A 37-year-old male suspect was immediately placed under arrest for dealing and possession of drugs. The six men, Perry Osagiede, Collins Owhofsa Otughwor, Osariemen Eric Clement, Musa Mudashiri, Franklyn Edosa Osagiede and Prince Ibeabuchi Mark, are alleged to be members of the Black Axe organised criminal network and are wanted by the US authorities in connection with charges of wire fraud and money laundering. The suspects are alleged to have targeted more than 100 women in the United States, allegedly defrauding them of more than R100 million through online romance or love scams. Among the alleged victims were pensioners and businesspeople who were reportedly targeted through sophisticated online relationships used to defraud them of their money. The six were part of eight Nigerian nationals, Perry Osagiede, Enorense Izevbiege, Franklin Edosa Osagiede, Osariemen Eric Clement, Collins Owhofasa Otughwor, Musa Mudashiru, Toriseju Gabriel Otubu, and Prince Ibeabuchi Mark, who were arrested in South Africa in 2021, following a major takedown operation conducted by the Hawks/DPCI. In February 2024, the Cape Town Magistrate’s Court formally ruled that the alleged members could be extradited to the US. However, Izevbiege and Otubu did not proceed with their appeals. Izevbiege was extradited to the US, and Otubu was granted R210 000 bail with conditions.
