Early reading. We have captured 5 original posts for this account, below the 8 we require before treating a median as settled. The numbers above describe what we have seen so far, not a finished profile of the account.

A typical post picks up 30 interactions against 2.2M followers, an engagement rate of 0.001%. Posts are seen about 15K times each, and 0.196% of those impressions turn into an interaction. That is about 0.711% of the follower count, which is the gap between an audience on paper and an audience in a timeline. Posting runs at about 0.77 post a day over the last 30 days, though only 37% of days saw any activity at all. Most posts go out around 05:00 UTC, and Thursday is the busiest day of the week. Of the 5 posts sampled, 80% carry an image or video, 20% are part of a thread and 40% link out. The account's strongest tracked post pulled 55K interactions, about 954x its own typical post. Recurring topics include #umumba, #आमचीmumba, #asiangames2026. Only 5 original posts have been captured so far, fewer than the 8 posts we want behind a median before treating it as settled. Read the figures above as an early measurement of this account, not as a finished profile of it.

Engagement rate as a share of followers, across the 204,491 accounts we have scanned enough to measure. The axis is logarithmic, because the top and bottom of this population are about 22,891 times apart and a linear axis would flatten everything below the median into a single point.

Posting timing

This account posts most often around 05:00 UTC, and Thursday is its busiest day of the week. The bars below are the catalog-wide pattern, with this account's own busiest slot marked. They do not show how this account performs at each hour: we keep one aggregate per account, not one per hour, so that measurement does not exist in our data.

Formats this account uses

Its own posting mix on the left, and what each of those formats does across every account we track on the right. Only formats where the effect clears our publish test appear here, so an empty row is a format we could not measure rather than one that does nothing.

This account's posting mix compared with catalog-wide effects

  • 80% of this account's sampled posts carry an image or video. Across the catalog, posts with an image or video run 111% above the same accounts' other posts.
  • 40% of its posts carry a link off X. Across the catalog, posts with an outbound link run 41% below the same accounts' other posts, so a large share of this account's output sits in the weakest bucket we measure.
  • Its average post runs 554 characters, which falls in the over 280 characters band. Across the catalog, posts over 280 characters run 15% above the same accounts' other posts.

These are catalog-wide differences applied to this account's own posting mix, not a measurement of how each format performs for this account specifically. We keep one median per account, not one per format per account, so the second thing is not something this data can tell you.

Unacademy is getting acquired by upGrad today. It has been one helluva journey since that stroll in LBSNAA when I was on the phone with @gauravmunjal and decided to quit IAS and build Unacademy. At one point during peak Covid, there were more than 100,000 live classes happening on Unacademy every month, with almost 1M paid subscribers. I remember once I was taking a flight and a CISF officer looked at me curiously and recognised me. He thanked me because he could study online and prepare for his govt. exam while still on the job, and because going to an offline coaching centre was not an option for him. Unacademy has made countless such success stories possible. When we started posting videos on YouTube, very few smart people were teaching online. Being an educator was still looked down upon. I remember that within the first month itself I must have called 200 people to teach online. This led to a revolution bigger than we had imagined. Suddenly we were doing millions of views, which eventually became billions. There are only very few top educators in India today who haven't at some point taught on Unacademy. The impact that Unacademy has created for the ecosystem is immense. The journey wasn't easy. It never is. I remember once being up all night making videos just because our views were down and I didn't want a month where we were not growing. Another time, Gaurav and I flew to China to meet an investor who didn't even show up for the meeting. Whether it's the sleepless nights, or the rejections, or the constant firefighting during good times and bad, it is a journey to remember. Very few people get the opportunity to create the kind of impact that we created. And I am proud of the impact we have created through Unacademy. And now, as a part of upGrad, we are looking forward to creating an even bigger dent in the universe with @RonnieScrewvala. Thanks to my friends and family for always being there for me. Without you it would not have been possible. Especially to my wife @SprihaChoubey and to my co-founder and friend Gaurav, whose LBSNAA phone call helped us create the entire online education category in India.

Just finished north of 200 meetings in Europe with customers and technologists. The conversations were primarily around AI, common questions include: 1. Are there examples of organizations who have been able to demonstrate production level systems and do those developments show a return in lower cost, efficiency or better top line? 2. What do you think about agents? How will we discover, govern and stop agents if need be. Perhaps the biggest security concern ATM. 3. The frontier AI models are expensive, what's the business case at these token prices to embed AI in our customer facing products? Where will token prices be in the future. 4. What are the longer term implications of Mythos like models? Do we need to update cyber infrastructure or all IT infrastructure? 5. What do you think of Chinese opensource models? Are they secure and what is the downside of using them if they can be secured and they are cheaper? The parts that surprised me were: 1. The pausing of Mythos and Fable 5 caused more consternation and concern in Europe both short term and raised longer term concerns on single model reliance or reliance or models not in ones control. I hadn't seen it from their POV. 2. Sovereignity which was always a topic and still is, is getting more nuanced - they want data residency, data localization and local resources, but there seems to be more willingness to accept global services on clouds. Classified systems continue to be an issue. Net net - we need to ensure we continue to build trust both on our Frontier models and their consistent availability, we need to get the right economics in place and spend more time in Europe communicating and building presence if we want AI adoption to keep pace with the US.

“ A super high bar for a VC is: do no harm.” @travisk says only 10% of VCs are able to do no harm, and only 1% are actually helpful: “ An operator who's running a company, if they're good, is a grandmaster of chess.”  ”And the VC is a chess enthusiast. They check in on the chess match once every three months and they're trying to make a mark on the world. They have an opinion.” “And you're like, don't go to Jordan and tell him how to dunk, and definitely don't go to him and tell him how to dribble. But it's hard because everybody has an opinion.” “The way to think about it is—you're on the Serengeti. If an antelope limps in the Serengeti, the lion will take it down, even if it's not hungry. Can't even fucking help it. It's just what he does. That's kind of the nature of most VCs.”

we fear hospitals and forget most of us were born in one. the first room you ever entered was a hospital room @superhealth X @localhosthq spending saturday night reminding bengaluru of that, with live music in the corridors. the hospital paradox we treat it as where things end, when for most of us it's where everything started.

I’m in Japan for a series of conferences and talks this week under the auspices of @jindalglobalUni. Arrived yesterday in time to join the Professors in a futile Sunday afternoon quest to see Mount Fuji. Pix in order: the poster of Mount Fuji we set out to see; the mist we actually saw (after a two-hour drive); and the Photoshop versions of what we wish we had seen! (My co-star in the pics is JGU VC Prof Raj Kumar).
