A typical post picks up 40 interactions against 84K followers, an engagement rate of 0.049%. Measured over 10 original posts, its engagement rate beats 39% of 20,444 tracked accounts of a similar size, which puts it in the middle of its size range rather than at either end. Posts are seen about 3.0K times each, and 1.34% of those impressions turn into an interaction. That is about 3.61% of the follower count, which is the gap between an audience on paper and an audience in a timeline. Posting runs at about 0.37 posts a day over the last 30 days, though only 33% of days saw any activity at all. Most posts go out around 13:00 UTC, and Tuesday is the busiest day of the week. Of the 10 posts sampled, 100% carry an image or video and 50% link out. The account's strongest tracked post pulled 274 interactions, about 6.8x its own typical post.

Compared with accounts its own size

RockyNPS's engagement rate beats 39% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (20,444 accounts, accounts of similar size (decile 7 of 10)). A percentile is spread evenly by construction, so 50 really is the middle of that group and 90 really is its top tenth.

On engagement per impression rather than per follower it beats 49% of the same group. When those two numbers disagree, the gap is about how far its posts travel rather than how people react to them.

Where this sits in the catalog

At 0.049%, RockyNPS sits above the 25th percentile of the 204,956 accounts in this comparison. That places it in the below the median band, which runs 0.024% to 0.143%.

This account posts most often around 13:00 UTC, and Tuesday is its busiest day of the week. The bars below are the catalog-wide pattern, with this account's own busiest slot marked. They do not show how this account performs at each hour: we keep one aggregate per account, not one per hour, so that measurement does not exist in our data.

Formats this account uses

Its own posting mix on the left, and what each of those formats does across every account we track on the right. Only formats where the effect clears our publish test appear here, so an empty row is a format we could not measure rather than one that does nothing.

  • 100% of this account's sampled posts carry an image or video. Across the catalog, posts with an image or video run 111% above the same accounts' other posts.
  • 50% of its posts carry a link off X. Across the catalog, posts with an outbound link run 41% below the same accounts' other posts, so a large share of this account's output sits in the weakest bucket we measure.
  • Its average post runs 611 characters, which falls in the over 280 characters band. Across the catalog, posts over 280 characters run 15% above the same accounts' other posts.

These are catalog-wide differences applied to this account's own posting mix, not a measurement of how each format performs for this account specifically. We keep one median per account, not one per format per account, so the second thing is not something this data can tell you.

We are grateful for all the spring snow! Now a few critical safety messages brought to you by park staff: - Vehicle traction law remains in place. If coming to the park, you must have good tires and winter driving skills. - Don't Crowd the Plow. Keep your distance and don't try to pass a snowplow. - Avalanche conditions are high above treeline and considerable near treeline on the east side of the park. https://t.co/EH84ONIWLB

Yesterday's spring snowstorm brought more snow to high elevation areas of #RMNP. This morning, there was over a foot of new snow on the ground at Rainbow Curve and snow is still falling. More snow is in the extended forecast over the next several days. We are grateful for the additional moisture brought by this spring snowstorm. Based on current conditions, along with incoming weather and wind in the extended forecast for high elevation areas of RMNP, it is unknown when Trail Ridge Road will open to vehicles for through travel. Trail Ridge Road is currently closed at Many Parks Curve on the east side of the park and at Colorado River Trailhead on the west side of the park. Keep an eye on the RMNP webpage and official social media accounts for updates.

Tis the season for temperatures to drop in the Southern Rocky Mountains. This time of the year, storms typically bring rain to lower elevation area of RMNP and snow to high elevation areas, impacting mountain peaks above 12,000 feet. Beginning later today through Thursday, October 1, be prepared for cool temperatures and varying weather. Weather conditions are likely to change depending on where you are. At Bear Lake, expect rain and thunderstorms. Thinking about climbing Longs Peak? Be prepared for snow, ice, and winter mountaineering conditions. At Alpine Visitor Center, expect poor visibility and rain with the possibility of some snow. Want to see what different areas of the park currently look like? Did you know that smoke can travel in the air over hundreds of miles? There is a smoky haze in the air over Rocky Mountain National Park. This smoke is traveling from fires in Utah and the pacific northwest. Here in Rocky, the air does not smell very smoky, but there is a visual haze that varies based on where you are and the time of the day. Conditions can change throughout the day. Visitors who are sensitive to smoke are encouraged to check the current air quality index at https://t.co/UnrKxhu99s. Smoke maps and additional information about air quality are available. Reading these numbers

A typical post picks up 40 interactions against 84K followers, an engagement rate of 0.049%. What is RockyNPS's engagement rate on X?
RockyNPS (@RockyNPS) has an engagement rate of 0.049%, based on the median interactions across 10 original posts from the last 30 days against 83,583 followers. Replies, reposts and quote-posts of other people are excluded from that sample.
Is that a good engagement rate?
At 0.049%, RockyNPS sits above the 25th percentile of the 204,956 accounts in this comparison. Those comparison accounts are all large ones, because our scanning cadence is weighted towards big accounts, so this is a ranking among peers of similar scale rather than a ranking across X.
Does @RockyNPS have real engagement?
Its engagement rate beats 39% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (20,444 accounts), which puts it in the middle of its size range group. Ranking inside a size band matters because engagement rate falls as accounts grow, so a raw rate would mostly re-measure the follower count. It is a starting point for a look at follower quality, not a verdict on it.
When does @RockyNPS post?
Most posts go out around 13:00 UTC, and Tuesday is its busiest day, at roughly 0.37 posts per day across the measured window.
