Today, #RIB Director General for Crime Intelligence and Counter Terrorism, Karake Peter, received a delegation from the Internal Audit Office of the Kingdom of Eswatini led by its Director, Ms. Portia Mamba. Their discussions covered anti-corruption policies, strategies, and prevention mechanisms, as well as RIB’s collaboration with the Office of the Ombudsman and other competent authorities to handle corruption cases and other injustices effectively.

Today, RIB Secretary General @P_Kabanda officially opened the Operation USALAMA XI Review, and Operation Usalama XII planning Meeting, bringing together stakeholders from the Eastern Africa Police Chiefs Cooperation Organization (#EAPCC0) and the Southern African Regional Police Chiefs Cooperation Organisation (#SARPCCO). Operation USALAMA is an annual, INTERPOL - supported joint security and law enforcement initiative conducted across Eastern and Southern Africa to combat terrorism, transnational organized crime and dismantling of Organized Criminal Groups. In his opening remarks, RIB Secretary General emphasized that the success of Operation USALAMA should not be measured solely by the number of arrests or seizures, but by the lasting partnerships built through joint investigations, coordinated operations, and the shared commitment to protecting citizens and safeguarding borders. He encouraged participants to engage openly, exchange best practices, identify emerging threats, and develop practical solutions that will strengthen operational effectiveness and enhance regional security cooperation.
