A typical post picks up 26 interactions against 280K followers, an engagement rate of 0.009%. Measured over 14 original posts, its engagement rate beats 23% of 20,183 tracked accounts of a similar size. That is a reason to look at how the audience behaves - reply depth, saves, whether the followers are recent - rather than a conclusion about it on its own. Posts are seen about 5.9K times each, and 0.438% of those impressions turn into an interaction. That is about 2.12% of the follower count, which is the gap between an audience on paper and an audience in a timeline. Posting runs at about 0.53 post a day over the last 30 days, though only 43% of days saw any activity at all. Most posts go out around 07:00 UTC, and Thursday is the busiest day of the week. Of the 14 posts sampled, 57% carry an image or video and 14% link out. The account's strongest tracked post pulled 483 interactions, about 19x its own typical post. Recurring topics include #bedele, #bonga, #oromiya.

Compared with accounts its own size

Kindeya Gebrehiwot, PhD, Prof's engagement rate beats 23% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (20,183 accounts, accounts of similar size (decile 9 of 10)). A percentile is spread evenly by construction, so 50 really is the middle of that group and 90 really is its top tenth.

On engagement per impression rather than per follower it beats 24% of the same group. When those two numbers disagree, the gap is about how far its posts travel rather than how people react to them.

Where this sits in the catalog

At 0.009%, Kindeya Gebrehiwot, PhD, Prof sits above the 10th percentile of the 202,076 accounts in this comparison. That places it in the bottom 25% band, which runs below 0.024%.

Formats this account uses

Its own posting mix on the left, and what each of those formats does across every account we track on the right. Only formats where the effect clears our publish test appear here, so an empty row is a format we could not measure rather than one that does nothing.

Reports of forced military conscription in #Tigray are deeply alarming. Mothers in Mekelle are seen crying as their children are taken away for military training by an armed group. How much more suffering must people endure before this madness is stopped? Silence only emboldens further suffering. This madness in #Tigray must stop! This evening, armed militants from a criminal group of Army 60 opened fire on mothers who courageously opposed the forced conscription of their children in Hagereselam, Dogu'a Tembien, #Tigray, #Ethiopia. This is not an isolated incident. Similar abuses are unfolding across Tigray, turning the region into a place of fear and suffering. The violence continues, and silence only emboldens those responsible. The people of Tigray deserve peace, justice, accountability, and protection. The Federal government and the international community must not look away. @hrw @USEmbassyAddis @EUinEthiopia @UKinEthiopia @UNHumanRights

No words can adequately capture how Tigray has become a living hell for so many people. How much more must happen before those responsible are held accountable? A draconian proclamation, forced conscription, terrorizing civilians, arbitrary imprisonment, unlawful killings, and even the release of convicted killers of young girls have become disturbingly routine. What will it take for the people, the federal government, and the international community to finally say, "Enough is enough"? Silence does not protect the innocent—it emboldens further abuses. Accountability is essential, and the people of Tigray deserve peace, justice, and protection. #Tigray #Ethiopia @UNHumanRights @hrw @amnesty @EUinEthiopia @USEmbassyAddis @UKinEthiopia @IGADsecretariat @_AfricanUnion

This footage was taken in Abiy Adi, #Tembien, #Tigray, where young people are reportedly being rounded up in the evening for forced military conscription. Yesterday, a bank in the same town was closed after staff were detained by militants. Similar stories throughout the region. The madness continues, and it must stop. Silence only emboldens further suffering. The paper-based Grade 12 national examinations for students in Tigray kicked off this morning at Aksum, Mekelle, and Addis Ababa Universities. This marks an important step in ensuring students have the opportunity to continue their education. Sincere appreciation goes to everyone whose hard work, dedication, and collaboration made this possible. Wishing all the students the very best as they sit their examinations. Pics: FBC (Fana Broadcasting Corporate S.C.)

What wonderful news! Congratulations to Melat Kiros, who was born in Ethiopia in 1997, and the hardworking team around her on winning the Democratic primary for Colorado's deep-blue 1st Congressional District, centered on Denver. Denver deserves such a bright and dynamic young woman. This victory marks an important milestone and opens the door to seeing Melat serve as a member of the U.S. Congress. Wishing her every success in the general election! Democratic socialist Melat Kiros defeats 15-term incumbent in Colorado House primary https://t.co/sUrp8n8ERa

Transforming Education from the Ground Up. Today, we took another important step in transforming education from the ground up. In partnership with eight universities, we launched the construction of three quality pre-primary schools in Buno Bedele Zone of Oromia Region, with an investment of ETB 43.5 million through the Summer Volunteer Service Program. We also planted seedlings and delivered educational materials for 1,000 students. These are more than school buildings. They are investments in our children, their learning, and the future they will shape. Once completed, these schools will provide young children with a strong foundation on which to build their lives. We extend our sincere gratitude to the people and administration of Buno Bedele for the warm welcome and generous hospitality. The transformation underway in pre-primary education is fundamental to improving the quality of our entire education system. Imagine the change if every child through out Ethiopia gets such opportunity, & it is possible if we work hard and prioritise. In the last five years, more than 34,000 have been built. Yet we need more to cover everyone. Hence let us join hands to build a strong foundation for every child and a better future for our education system.

What is Kindeya Gebrehiwot, PhD, Prof's engagement rate on X?
Kindeya Gebrehiwot, PhD, Prof (@ProfKindeya) has an engagement rate of 0.009%, based on the median interactions across 14 original posts from the last 30 days against 279,860 followers. Replies, reposts and quote-posts of other people are excluded from that sample.
Is that a good engagement rate?
At 0.009%, Kindeya Gebrehiwot, PhD, Prof sits above the 10th percentile of the 202,076 accounts in this comparison. Those comparison accounts are all large ones, because our scanning cadence is weighted towards big accounts, so this is a ranking among peers of similar scale rather than a ranking across X.
Does @ProfKindeya have real engagement?
Its engagement rate beats 23% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (20,183 accounts), which puts it in the bottom quarter for its size group. Ranking inside a size band matters because engagement rate falls as accounts grow, so a raw rate would mostly re-measure the follower count. It is a starting point for a look at follower quality, not a verdict on it.
When does @ProfKindeya post?
Most posts go out around 07:00 UTC, and Thursday is its busiest day, at roughly 0.53 posts per day across the measured window.
