A typical post picks up 38 interactions against 197K followers, an engagement rate of 0.019%. Measured over 8 original posts, its engagement rate beats 32% of 20,444 tracked accounts of a similar size, which puts it in the middle of its size range rather than at either end. Posts are seen about 11K times each, and 0.349% of those impressions turn into an interaction. That is about 5.53% of the follower count, which is the gap between an audience on paper and an audience in a timeline. Posting runs at about 0.37 posts a day over the last 30 days, though only 23% of days saw any activity at all. Most posts go out around 19:00 UTC, and Sunday is the busiest day of the week. Of the 8 posts sampled, 13% carry an image or video and 50% link out. The account's strongest tracked post pulled 6.7K interactions, about 177x its own typical post.

Compared with accounts its own size

Paul Malignaggi's engagement rate beats 32% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (20,444 accounts, accounts of similar size (decile 9 of 10)). A percentile is spread evenly by construction, so 50 really is the middle of that group and 90 really is its top tenth.

On engagement per impression rather than per follower it beats 20% of the same group. When those two numbers disagree, the gap is about how far its posts travel rather than how people react to them.

Where this sits in the catalog

At 0.019%, Paul Malignaggi sits above the 10th percentile of the 204,798 accounts in this comparison. That places it in the bottom 25% band, which runs below 0.024%.

Posting timing

This account posts most often around 19:00 UTC, and Sunday is its busiest day of the week. The bars below are the catalog-wide pattern, with this account's own busiest slot marked. They do not show how this account performs at each hour: we keep one aggregate per account, not one per hour, so that measurement does not exist in our data.

Formats this account uses

Its own posting mix on the left, and what each of those formats does across every account we track on the right. Only formats where the effect clears our publish test appear here, so an empty row is a format we could not measure rather than one that does nothing.

  • 13% of this account's sampled posts carry an image or video. Across the catalog, posts with an image or video run 111% above the same accounts' other posts.
  • 50% of its posts carry a link off X. Across the catalog, posts with an outbound link run 41% below the same accounts' other posts, so a large share of this account's output sits in the weakest bucket we measure.
  • Its average post runs 138 characters, which falls in the 80 - 180 characters band. Across the catalog, posts of 80 to 180 characters run 3% below the same accounts' other posts.

These are catalog-wide differences applied to this account's own posting mix, not a measurement of how each format performs for this account specifically. We keep one median per account, not one per format per account, so the second thing is not something this data can tell you.

Woke up to the sad news of my old friend and foe Ricky Hatton having passed away. To say I'm shocked would be an understatement. I had just spoken to him a couple of months ago and he seemed in great spirits. Extremely sad. Sending condolences to all his family and loved onesπŸ˜” https://t.co/Dy7khkYYgR

Still can't believe Ricky is goneπŸ˜” We went from foes and bitter rivals at the elite level of this sport to 2 men who's image though shaped in large part by our life as boxers rarely actually discussed boxing when we'd see one another in person. Ricky was literally one of the funniest guys I ever met in my life both in and out of the boxing business and we shared various laughs each time we'd run into one another (mostly from him poking fun at me with his unique and witty humor 🀣). It is more for that sense of humor that I personally will remember him for even more than his boxing, because Ricky the man and the human being though mostly known for his image in boxing was so much more than boxing to those that knew him. He'll be missed for so many reasons and my heart hurts for the pain that his loved ones are feeling right now, because I know that those who loved him had a very deep love for him. I have a faith and hope to one day see you again champ, RIP.

Benn sucks cause he was allowed to skip over domestic and national level and put into a world class spotlight without earning it. His best name wins that he has are against guys that were over 35 when he fought them and the Algieri fight specifically he's likely doped up cause he got caught doping a short time thereafter Eubank (who himself is a nepo baby that will never be world champion) was dead at the weight when Conor beat him. Those are literally his best wins. He has not a single legitimate win at the highest level nor does he even look good at normal levels. Let's see if either of these guys makes weight. #garciavsbenn

Connor Benn is not only not a 2 weight world champion, hes not even a 1 weight world champion. @netflix trying to be taken seriously by the boxing mainstream then putting up a complete BS stats like this is exactly why they'll never be taken seriously.

Reading these numbers

What is Paul Malignaggi's engagement rate on X?
Paul Malignaggi (@PaulMalignaggi) has an engagement rate of 0.019%, based on the median interactions across 8 original posts from the last 30 days against 196,795 followers. Replies, reposts and quote-posts of other people are excluded from that sample.
Is that a good engagement rate?
At 0.019%, Paul Malignaggi sits above the 10th percentile of the 204,798 accounts in this comparison. Those comparison accounts are all large ones, because our scanning cadence is weighted towards big accounts, so this is a ranking among peers of similar scale rather than a ranking across X.
Does @PaulMalignaggi have real engagement?
Its engagement rate beats 32% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (20,444 accounts), which puts it in the middle of its size range group. Ranking inside a size band matters because engagement rate falls as accounts grow, so a raw rate would mostly re-measure the follower count. It is a starting point for a look at follower quality, not a verdict on it.
When does @PaulMalignaggi post?
Most posts go out around 19:00 UTC, and Sunday is its busiest day, at roughly 0.37 posts per day across the measured window.
