A typical post picks up 1.7K interactions against 220K followers, an engagement rate of 0.786%. Measured over 43 original posts, its engagement rate beats 91% of 20,444 tracked accounts of a similar size. Comparing inside a size band matters here: engagement rate falls as accounts grow, so a raw rate would mostly just re-measure the follower count. Posts are seen about 48K times each, and 3.62% of those impressions turn into an interaction. That is about 21.6% of the follower count, which is the gap between an audience on paper and an audience in a timeline. Posting runs at about 3 posts a day over the last 30 days, with activity on roughly 77% of days. Most posts go out around 16:00 UTC, and Saturday is the busiest day of the week. Of the 43 posts sampled, 33% carry an image or video and 26% link out. The account's strongest tracked post pulled 22K interactions, about 13x its own typical post. Recurring topics include #battlefest, #lab26.

Compared with accounts its own size

Paul Embery's engagement rate beats 91% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (20,444 accounts, accounts of similar size (decile 9 of 10)). A percentile is spread evenly by construction, so 50 really is the middle of that group and 90 really is its top tenth.

On engagement per impression rather than per follower it beats 79% of the same group. When those two numbers disagree, the gap is about how far its posts travel rather than how people react to them.

Where this sits in the catalog

At 0.786%, Paul Embery sits above the 75th percentile of the 205,261 accounts in this comparison. That places it in the top 25% band, which runs 0.678% to 2.55%.

They do not show how this account performs at each hour: we keep one aggregate per account, not one per hour, so that measurement does not exist in our data.

Formats this account uses

Its own posting mix on the left, and what each of those formats does across every account we track on the right. Only formats where the effect clears our publish test appear here, so an empty row is a format we could not measure rather than one that does nothing.

  • 33% of this account's sampled posts carry an image or video. Across the catalog, posts with an image or video run 111% above the same accounts' other posts.
  • 26% of its posts carry a link off X. Across the catalog, posts with an outbound link run 41% below the same accounts' other posts.
  • Its average post runs 271 characters, which falls in the 180 - 280 characters band. Across the catalog, posts of 180 to 280 characters match the same accounts' other posts almost exactly.

These are catalog-wide differences applied to this account's own posting mix, not a measurement of how each format performs for this account specifically. We keep one median per account, not one per format per account, so the second thing is not something this data can tell you.

More information emerging about the conviction of Del Somerville (jailed for two years for throwing a plastic bottle and telling police officers to 'F**k off' at a protest against the small boats). The court heard that Somerville had played a relatively minor role at the incident, had tried to pull another protester away when he confronted police, actually lived at the marina rather than travelled there for the purpose of protesting, and that the plastic bottle he threw was 'small' or 'empty'. It's impossible, in the context of wider sentencing policy in this country, to avoid the conclusion that the sanction handed down to Somerville amounts to two-tier justice.

It's almost like we are living in some parallel world. The idea that millions of young working-class British lads are going to be rushing to enlist to fight in a manufactured war for a ruling class that has spent the past three decades stigmatising and demonising them is just wild. Have our political and military leaders lost their minds? Do they know the slightest thing about the mood inside the country?

The media are reporting that one of the youths killed in the A66 crash yesterday had posted a string of TikTok videos over many months showing himself involved in high-speed police chases. How in God's name was he free to carry on doing it? Why wasn't he in jail?

Britain’s Secret Intelligence Service (SIS) is advertising for a summer intern. If you’re 'White British', however, please don’t think about applying. You are expressly prohibited. (Hell, even persons who identity as 'White Other' are eligible!) I don’t think I’ve ever seen a more blatant example of racism against a specific ethnicity by a state institution. Utterly indefensible.

Anyone who drives a vehicle deliberately and at speed the wrong way along a motorway or dual carriageway should go to jail for a minimum of 20 years. Much longer if it causes death or injury. It’s no different to firing a gun at random in a busy public place. Scumbags who commit such crimes deserve the toughest punishment.

A protest like this, with hundreds of men all arriving at precisely the same moment and wearing exactly the same attire, would have taken an extremely high level of co-ordination. Yet the authorities appear to have been caught totally off guard. Perhaps the shape of things to come? https://t.co/svmsoSg8k2

The two-year prison sentence for Del Somerville, for the crime of throwing a plastic bottle and swearing at police during a protest against the small boats, is genuinely staggering. A blatant example of two-tier justice. It’s almost as if the authorities are deliberately attempting to provoke some sort of civil uprising.

What is Paul Embery's engagement rate on X?
Paul Embery (@PaulEmbery) has an engagement rate of 0.786%, based on the median interactions across 43 original posts from the last 30 days against 220,148 followers. Replies, reposts and quote-posts of other people are excluded from that sample.
Is that a good engagement rate?
At 0.786%, Paul Embery sits above the 75th percentile of the 205,261 accounts in this comparison. Those comparison accounts are all large ones, because our scanning cadence is weighted towards big accounts, so this is a ranking among peers of similar scale rather than a ranking across X.
Does @PaulEmbery have real engagement?
