Halkların Eşitlik ve Demokrasi Partisi (DEM Parti) İmralı Heyeti, Önder Apo ile dün İmralı Adası'nda gerçekleştirdikleri görüşmeye ilişkin şu açıklamayı yaptı: “Basına ve Kamuoyuna, DEM Parti İmralı Heyeti olarak, uzun bir aradan sonra Sayın Abdullah Öcalan ile kapsamlı bir görüşme gerçekleştirdik. Toplantıda bölgedeki siyasal gelişmeler, demokratik toplum inşası, barış sürecinde gelinen aşama ve yasal çerçevenin nasıl şekillenmesi gerektiği konularını detaylı bir şekilde ele aldık. Görüşmede Sayın Öcalan kamuoyu ile paylaşmak üzere şu değerlendirmelerde bulunmuştur: “27 Şubat çağrısının ruhuna bağlı kalarak adım atma ve sorunu kardeşlik hukuku içinde çözmeye dönük kararlılığımız sürüyor. Anadolu’da tarihsel bir hakikat olan ve tüm kritik aşamalarda birbirinden ayrılmayan Kürt-Türk tarihsel ittifakını ve birlikteliğini hukuki zemine dönüştürmenin arifesindeyiz. ‘Kürt’ten Türkü ayırsan Kürt kalmaz, Türk’ten Kürdü ayırsan Türk kalmaz’ hakikati, ortak yaşam ve eşitlik hukukunun geliştirilmesini gerekli kılmaktadır. Yasal düzenlemelerle bu ittifakı kalıcı hukuki güvenceye kavuşturmak ve demokratik bir cumhuriyette eşit ve özgürce birlikte yaşamak mümkündür. Negatif hukukun pozitif hukuka dönüşmesi gereklidir. Ortak yaşamı örmek, eşitlik ve adalet içinde yepyeni bir sayfa açmak için tarih bizlere bir fırsat sunmaktadır.
