Early reading. We have captured 5 original posts for this account, below the 8 we require before treating a median as settled. The numbers above describe what we have seen so far, not a finished profile of the account.

A typical post picks up 491 interactions against 136K followers, an engagement rate of 0.36%. Posts are seen about 15K times each, and 3.32% of those impressions turn into an interaction. That is about 10.8% of the follower count, which is the gap between an audience on paper and an audience in a timeline. Posting runs at about 0.43 posts a day over the last 30 days, though only 27% of days saw any activity at all. Most posts go out around 01:00 UTC, and Tuesday is the busiest day of the week. Of the 5 posts sampled, 40% carry an image or video, 40% are part of a thread and 60% link out. The account's strongest tracked post pulled 8.9K interactions, about 18x its own typical post. Only 5 original posts have been captured so far, fewer than the 8 posts we want behind a median before treating it as settled. Read the figures above as an early measurement of this account, not as a finished profile of it.

Posting timing

This account posts most often around 01:00 UTC, and Tuesday is its busiest day of the week. The bars below are the catalog-wide pattern, with this account's own busiest slot marked. They do not show how this account performs at each hour: we keep one aggregate per account, not one per hour, so that measurement does not exist in our data.

Formats this account uses

Its own posting mix on the left, and what each of those formats does across every account we track on the right. Only formats where the effect clears our publish test appear here, so an empty row is a format we could not measure rather than one that does nothing.

  • 40% of this account's sampled posts carry an image or video. Across the catalog, posts with an image or video run 111% above the same accounts' other posts.
  • 60% of its posts carry a link off X. Across the catalog, posts with an outbound link run 41% below the same accounts' other posts, so a large share of this account's output sits in the weakest bucket we measure.
  • Its average post runs 848 characters, which falls in the over 280 characters band. Across the catalog, posts over 280 characters run 15% above the same accounts' other posts.

These are catalog-wide differences applied to this account's own posting mix, not a measurement of how each format performs for this account specifically. We keep one median per account, not one per format per account, so the second thing is not something this data can tell you.

An underappreciated side effect of the Russia-Ukraine war is that at some point Transnistria will cease to exist. It's economically, militarily and politically untenable. Ukraine and Moldova/Romania just haven't worked out how to deal with the aftermath yet.

Daily Ukraine map thread for Monday 7th Sept 2026 The defeat of the Russian forces in the Shandryholove salient north of Lyman now emerges, following many months of offensive action by the 3rd Army Corps and friends. We have pulled back the red to form a broad grey zone, and will refine the lines further once the situation has had the decency to clarify itself. The immediate thought might be: why did this take so long? It is, after all, hardly an immense tract of country. Surely it would have been preferable simply to cut off the few hundred Russian troops lingering around Shandryholove. And you would be quite right. Indeed, Ukrainian forces were sighted in Nove earlier in the year, making the eventual Russian withdrawal appear not merely possible, but positively sensible. But sensible decisions, alas, have not always been the Russian speciality. Instead, Russia continued to feed units into the salient in the hope of defeating the Ukrainian forces there, while maintaining the appearance of an advance despite mounting evidence to the contrary. What might have been a relatively painless withdrawal has therefore become a months-long exercise in feeding men and equipment into a highly favourable Ukrainian grinder - at substantial waste of human life. Do not be too distracted by the amount of ground that has changed colour on the map though. The map records territory. It does not record the men, vehicles, ammunition and months of combat required to hold it. A few kilometres may look insignificant when viewed from a desk. They can look rather different when measured in destroyed formations, exhausted units and the fighting power expended to gain them. The remarkable thing is that this was not achieved through some great Ukrainian masterstroke alone. Russian commanders and milbloggers have, in their own fashion, been most helpful in sustaining the fiction that progress was being made. Along the front near Kostyantynivka, Russian forces continue to push forward. Ukraine has reinforced near Kostyantynivka with 46th Airmobile, and the Omega special purpose units. Infiltrations continue in the Dobropillya to Druzhkivka section. Needless to say, this is really where the Ukrainian manpower problem is going to bite. Further problems exist towards Stepnohirsk and Orikhiv, where Ukrainian forces have recently lost a number of positions. There is plainly something amiss here. Were Russia presently capable of mounting a serious armoured offensive in this sector, the opportunity would be considerable. A determined push could, under the circumstances, achieve rather more than the usual Russian habit of advancing one field at a time would suggest. Alas, the opportunity exists, the capability does not. Elsewhere, long-range Ukrainian strikes hit Russian helicopters at Taganrog, as well as a disused Su-24 at Saky. Russian strikes continue to batter Ukraine, with a tobacco factory among the targets. No cigarettes for you, gentlemen. As though cigarettes were in short supply across Ukraine. And, meanwhile, the mid-range strike campaign continues apace with numerous targets being hit. It's quiet, as people aren't publishing as much, but we can tell you it is certainly carrying on apace. Geolocations follow:

Russia lying about capturing Sviatohirsk - an uncontested town many km behind the front - is a great summation of their disastrous 2026 summer campaign season. Russia usually manages decent advances in summer. This year? Capturing part of Konstantinivka and barely anything else.
