A typical post picks up 1.1K interactions against 583K followers, an engagement rate of 0.19%. Measured over 19 original posts, its engagement rate beats 80% of 3,829 tracked accounts of a similar size. Comparing inside a size band matters here: engagement rate falls as accounts grow, so a raw rate would mostly just re-measure the follower count. Posts are seen about 21K times each, and 5.34% of those impressions turn into an interaction. That is about 3.55% of the follower count, which is the gap between an audience on paper and an audience in a timeline. Posting runs at about 1 post a day over the last 30 days, with activity on roughly 53% of days. Most posts go out around 06:00 UTC, and Tuesday is the busiest day of the week. Of the 19 posts sampled, 84% carry an image or video, 11% are part of a thread and 16% link out. The account's strongest tracked post pulled 2.7K interactions, about 2.4x its own typical post. Recurring topics include #freeallpoliticalprisonersinuganda, #freeugandanow, #uganda.

Compared with accounts its own size

National Unity Platform's engagement rate beats 80% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (3,829 accounts, accounts of similar size (decile 8 of 10)). A percentile is spread evenly by construction, so 50 really is the middle of that group and 90 really is its top tenth.

On engagement per impression rather than per follower it beats 92% of the same group. When those two numbers disagree, the gap is about how far its posts travel rather than how people react to them.

Where this sits in the catalog

At 0.19%, National Unity Platform sits above the 50th percentile of the 37,071 accounts in this comparison. That places it in the above the median band, which runs 0.08% to 0.435%.

Engagement rate as a share of followers, across the 37,071 accounts we have scanned enough to measure. The axis is logarithmic, because the top and bottom of this population are about 105,527 times apart and a linear axis would flatten everything below the median into a single point.

This account posts most often around 06:00 UTC, and Tuesday is its busiest day of the week. The bars below are the catalog-wide pattern, with this account's own busiest slot marked. They do not show how this account performs at each hour: we keep one aggregate per account, not one per hour, so that measurement does not exist in our data.

ALERT: This is to inform the public that the personal X (Twitter) account of Secretary General David Lewis Rubongoya has been hijacked by unknown people. He is currently not in control of that account and anything that may be posted there. Efforts to try and recover it are ongoing.

UPDATE: After close to six years under detention without trial, our nine comrades Yasin Ssekitoleko aka Machete, Kalanzi Sharif, Kintu Abdallah, Gibusiwa Abdukarim, Musa Kavuma, Joseph Muwonge, Jimmy Galukande, and Patrick Mwase are due to be released today. These comrades, weighed down by the long period of detention finally accepted to plead guilty to crimes they did not commit, but the regime changed strategy and compelled them to apply for Amnesty! So the military court has this morning sent them to the Amnesty Commission from where they will be given Amnesty Certificates and released. We hope they won't be hijacked and forcefully taken to Kyankwanzi as happened to some of the comrades previously released. While we condemn the extreme abuse of the criminal justice system to this level, we are very glad that these comrades can have some taste of freedom at long last. END #FreeUgandaNow

The Kanyanya Magistrates Court has yet again adjourned the matter of our comrades to September 18, 2026 for hearing. The state was not able to present any witnesses. It should be noted that these comrades have endured a prolonged remand period as they battle trumped up charges of ‘unlawful drilling.’ #FreeAllPoliticalPrisoners

📌 📌 📌 Since yesterday, many of you have expressed the desire to contribute money to support the livelihoods of the nine political prisoners who were released from detention after close to six years. You may send in your contribution towards this cause to any of these numbers. In addition to the support the Party will extend to them, your contributions will be summed up and distributed to them equally.

Our Head of Institutions, comrade Akiso Benjamin will be returned to the Kanyanya Court this morning at 9am. He has endured a lengthy remand period of 6 months since his arrest on February 2nd following his alleged involvement in peaceful protests against bad governance. The criminal regime which has subjected him to persecution claims that comrade Akiso ‘incited violence and contravened public order laws by staging a demonstration without notifying the police.’ All efforts by our legal team to secure for him bail on these trumped up charges have been routinely thwarted. Hoping today, he gets granted bail without any usual excuses! #FreeAllPoliticalPrisoners

What is National Unity Platform's engagement rate on X?
National Unity Platform (@NUP_Ug) has an engagement rate of 0.19%, based on the median interactions across 19 original posts from the last 30 days against 582,666 followers. Replies, reposts and quote-posts of other people are excluded from that sample.
Is that a good engagement rate?
At 0.19%, National Unity Platform sits above the 50th percentile of the 37,071 accounts in this comparison. Those comparison accounts are all large ones, because our scanning cadence is weighted towards big accounts, so this is a ranking among peers of similar scale rather than a ranking across X.
Does @NUP_Ug have real engagement?
Its engagement rate beats 80% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (3,829 accounts), which puts it in the top quarter for its size group. Ranking inside a size band matters because engagement rate falls as accounts grow, so a raw rate would mostly re-measure the follower count. It is a starting point for a look at follower quality, not a verdict on it.
When does @NUP_Ug post?
Most posts go out around 06:00 UTC, and Tuesday is its busiest day, at roughly 1.03 posts per day across the measured window.
