🔸When milk turns into malpractice: Crime Branch cracks down on milk adulteration. Crime Branch Unit-12, busted a factory in Vasai East manufacturing fake milk pouches and passing them off under the names of reputed brands. Machinery worth ₹10 lakh was seized and 470 litres of adulterated milk were destroyed, while 13,000 fake 1-litre pouches had also been seized earlier. The accused was tracked across West Bengal and Jharkhand before being arrested. The police seized 10 mobile phones, a laptop, 7 SIM cards, 4 debit/credit cards, 967 APK files, and banking data of 37,200 citizens. 🔸Major Crackdown by Mumbai Police Crime Branch on an International Cybercrime Gang! The Mumbai Police Crime Branch (Unit 2) has busted an international gang involved in financial fraud through cyber scams and online gaming apps. Twelve accused individuals were taken into custody following a raid on the racket, which was being operated from Goa. Preliminary investigations revealed that the accused were facilitating cyber fraud and handling financial transactions, including cash withdrawals, related to cyber fraud and online gaming by opening bank accounts and activating SIM cards in Mumbai. In exchange, the account holders received a 3% commission. It was also discovered that the accused, operating from Goa, were transferring funds received in these bank accounts, derived from cyber fraud, to other accounts at the behest of their associates in Dubai. During the investigation, the team seized 15 laptops, 128 ATM cards, 85 mobile phones, 76 SIM cards, and various other digital devices from the accused.
