At Athi Market in the Igembe South Meru County, we proudly drummed up celebrations to honour the resounding victory of our first new DCP Member of Parliament, Hon. Sammy Douglas Kamau. This milestone reflects the strong will and unity of the people of the mountain, who have placed their trust in the Democracy for Citizens Party to deliver principled leadership and meaningful development. Once again, we firmly reject and have told off Cabinet Secretary Ruku for his continued attempts to divide Mount Kenya East and West. As the people of Meru, we will not accept or welcome such divisive tactics. Our unity remains our greatest strength, and we will not allow any individual or the government of the day to erode it for political expediency. The people of Meru constitute the majority in the East and stand resolute in protecting our collective interests. Mr. Ruku has no moral authority to negotiate on our behalf or speak for the region. We urge all leaders to respect the sovereignty and solidarity of our communities rather than sowing seeds of discord. I have noted circulating video clips on social media featuring organised groups of youth in Meru County who are threatening to disrupt the Linda Mwananchi meetings scheduled for tomorrow. These individuals have been invoking my name in their statements. Let me state unequivocally that Linda Mwananchi is a WANTAM movement whose clear agenda is to remove William Ruto from office. As an integral part of the united opposition, there is no conceivable reason for me to oppose their activities. It has become apparent that these youth have been mobilised across Meru County under the direction of government operatives. They have been instructed to claim they are acting in my defence, with the deliberate aim of creating the false impression of internal conflict within the opposition ranks. I therefore advise Bonoko and his associates to pursue alternative strategies. Linda Mwananchi remains part of our broader team and must be permitted to hold meetings peacefully in every part of Meru County and, indeed, throughout Kenya. Any threats directed at Governor Kawira Mwangaza seeking to restrict her movement within Meru are regressive and unacceptable. Kenya is a democratic nation, and the Constitution guarantees every citizen the right to visit and assemble freely in any part of the country. Bonoko is hereby cautioned against the continued misuse of my name in this manner.

Today in Meru, I urged the people to remain vigilant. The people of Meru are not beggars, and we do not seek handouts. As farmers, all we require is access to certified seeds and affordable fertiliser , a programme I initiated while in office. Since the time of the founding fathers of our nation, the Mountain has been one. The Mountain remains one, and it shall forever be one. We must therefore disregard the divisive talk of Mount Kenya East and Mount Kenya West. I call upon the residents of Meru to support our Party Leader @rigathi and the Democracy for citizens Party (DCP). This is the only party in the Mount Kenya region that truly secures our interests. Wantam is our anthem in Meru.

During my address at Kiagu Ward in Central Imenti, I urged the people of Imenti not to fall into the divisive trap being set by Cabinet Secretary Ruku, who has been deployed by President Ruto to split the Mountain into West and East. Let me be clear: the Mountain remains firmly united. The GEMA community has stood as one since independence, a legacy bequeathed to us by our founding fathers. This enduring unity is our greatest strength, and it will not be undermined by external forces.
