Vandaag is de Amsterdam Canal Parade. Elk jaar weer een bijzonder moment. Pride gaat over vrijheid, gelijkwaardigheid en inclusie. Er is nog altijd veel nodig voor de LHBTI-gemeenschap in binnen- en buitenland. Juist daarom is het belangrijk om vandaag ook samen te vieren. En het was een eer om als eerste Nederlandse minister-president ooit een stukje mee te varen. Ik wens iedereen een mooie Amsterdam Pride & World Pride!

De situatie op de Westelijke Jordaanoever verslechtert verder. Het geweld door kolonisten neemt toe en de economie komt daar steeds verder onder druk te staan. Dat moet stoppen. Daarom roept Nederland samen met internationale partners Israël op om de uitbreiding van illegale nederzettingen te stoppen en de plannen voor het omstreden E1 project terug te draaien.

I spoke with @MinPres Rob Jetten. I am grateful for his attention to Ukraine and his readiness to help. I informed Rob about the recent Russian attacks against our cities and communities, and I thank him for his sincere words of compassion and support. Almost every day, the Russians strike our people, sparing no ballistic missiles in their efforts to destroy lives. Air defense missiles are our main priority. We discussed how the Netherlands can support our defense now and as we prepare for winter. We greatly appreciate the willingness to work on finding solutions. We discussed the diplomatic situation and the meetings in Washington last week. We also spoke about Ukraine’s integration into the European Union, efforts to open four more negotiating clusters, and the enlargement more broadly. Thank you!

Wat een lelijk vandalisme in Engelen. Samenleven is een van de kernwaarden van Nederland. Verschillende meningen mogen daarbinnen bestaan, daarover gaan we met elkaar in gesprek. Voor het intimideren van mensen die zich inzetten voor mensen die zijn gevlucht voor oorlog is geen enkele rechtvaardiging.

De beelden uit Ceuta maken grote indruk. Goed dat we zien dat Spanje en Marokko zich inspannen om de situatie onder controle te krijgen. Nederland betreurt de doden die gevallen zijn door mensensmokkelaars. Samen met 21 andere EU-leiders roep ik het Ierse voorzitterschap op om de ministers van migratie in de EU bijeen te roepen en de situatie te bespreken.

De steun aan Oekraïne en druk op Rusland werkt. En het sterkt ons in onze vastberadenheid om door te gaan met steun aan Oekraïne. Dat is de kern van wat we vandaag, op de dag dat Oekraïne zijn onafhankelijkheid viert, bespraken met onze internationale partners binnen de Coalition of the Willing en president Zelensky. Nederland draagt als onderdeel van de Anti-Ballistic Missile Coalition bij aan een sterke luchtverdediging. Nodig, want de afgelopen weken heeft Rusland ballistische aanvallen uitgevoerd op Oekraïne opgevoerd. Zo beschermen we ook de energie- en waterinfrastructuur in Oekraïne, met de koude wintermaanden op komst is dit prioriteit. Ook spraken we over het belang dat Oekraïne doorgaat met het doorvoeren van cruciale hervormingen en de strijd tegen corruptie intensiveert. We laten Oekraïne niet in de steek; nu niet en in de toekomst niet. Slavia Oekraïne.

Zorgelijke ontwikkelingen in Ceuta. We rekenen erop dat Spanje doet wat nodig is om de EU buitengrenzen te beschermen en dat ook Marokko de nodige stappen zet. Heb hier vanmorgen contact over gehad met mijn Spaanse en Marokkaanse collega’s. Goed dat de EC hulp heeft aangeboden.

Nederland staat schouder aan schouder met Oekraïne. Het was dan ook prettig om vandaag kennis te maken met premier @KoretskyiUA. Ik heb hem gefeliciteerd met zijn eerste maand als premier en we spraken over de voortdurende en intensieve Russische aanvallen en het belang van de Nederlandse defensiesamenwerking en energiesteun. Ik heb hem nogmaals benadrukt dat we Oekraïne steunen in hun stappen richting de Europese Unie.
