A typical post picks up 3.1K interactions against 872K followers, an engagement rate of 0.353%. Measured over 31 original posts, its engagement rate beats 90% of 3,809 tracked accounts of a similar size. Comparing inside a size band matters here: engagement rate falls as accounts grow, so a raw rate would mostly just re-measure the follower count. Posts are seen about 91K times each, and 3.39% of those impressions turn into an interaction. That is about 10.4% of the follower count, which is the gap between an audience on paper and an audience in a timeline. Posting runs at about 3.2 posts a day over the last 30 days, with activity on roughly 63% of days. Most posts go out around 20:00 UTC, and Wednesday is the busiest day of the week. Of the 31 posts sampled, 42% carry an image or video and 23% link out. The account's strongest tracked post pulled 197K interactions, about 64x its own typical post.

Compared with accounts its own size

Meghan McCain's engagement rate beats 90% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (3,809 accounts, accounts of similar size (decile 9 of 10)). A percentile is spread evenly by construction, so 50 really is the middle of that group and 90 really is its top tenth.

On engagement per impression rather than per follower it beats 83% of the same group. When those two numbers disagree, the gap is about how far its posts travel rather than how people react to them.

Where this sits in the catalog

At 0.353%, Meghan McCain sits above the 50th percentile of the 36,852 accounts in this comparison. That places it in the above the median band, which runs 0.08% to 0.435%.

Posting timing

This account posts most often around 20:00 UTC, and Wednesday is its busiest day of the week. The bars below are the catalog-wide pattern, with this account's own busiest slot marked. They do not show how this account performs at each hour: we keep one aggregate per account, not one per hour, so that measurement does not exist in our data.

The egregious sexist attacks on Natalie Harp are absolutely insane - and they’re coming from prestigious journalists. What is wrong with everyone?! Every president has close aides and sometimes they are females. Like what year is this?! Should women never go into politics?!

Dolly Parton was an absolute American icon and legend. Singular in her impact, love, talent, music, kindness, passion and strength. There never was nor ever will be another like her. There are almost no words to express what a loss this is for America, she was one of the few people who had the ability to unite and truly bring everyone together through her music art, light and spirit. On a personal note she is hands down the kindest, warmest, friendliest celebrity I had the pleasure of ever meeting. When people ask me the highlight of working at The View, I always say meeting Dolly Parton. Her famous quote ~ “The way I see it if you want the rainbow, you’ve got to put up with the rain” has helped me through many tough moments and grief in life. I am deeply saddened by this news just being a huge fan. We love you forever Dolly.

Is that a good engagement rate?
