A typical post picks up 2.6K interactions against 7.9M followers, an engagement rate of 0.033%. Measured over 13 original posts, its engagement rate beats 66% of 3,809 tracked accounts of a similar size, which puts it in the middle of its size range rather than at either end. Posts are seen about 301K times each, and 0.87% of those impressions turn into an interaction. That is about 3.81% of the follower count, which is the gap between an audience on paper and an audience in a timeline. Posting runs at about 0.73 post a day over the last 30 days, though only 33% of days saw any activity at all. Most posts go out around 19:00 UTC, and Wednesday is the busiest day of the week. Of the 13 posts sampled, 38% carry an image or video and 62% link out. The account's strongest tracked post pulled 100K interactions, about 38x its own typical post.

Compared with accounts its own size

Mark Ruffalo's engagement rate beats 66% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (3,809 accounts, accounts of similar size (decile 10 of 10)). A percentile is spread evenly by construction, so 50 really is the middle of that group and 90 really is its top tenth.

On engagement per impression rather than per follower it beats 52% of the same group. When those two numbers disagree, the gap is about how far its posts travel rather than how people react to them.

Where this sits in the catalog

At 0.033%, Mark Ruffalo sits above the 25th percentile of the 36,852 accounts in this comparison. That places it in the below the median band, which runs 0.012% to 0.08%.

El-Sayed: Now Mike, I'm just going to remind you: if you don't know how to say the name, keep the name out your damn mouth. Or just call me Abdul. But I got some opinions about his name. See, it's very fitting for him: Rogers. Cause that's his answer every time a corporation or Donald Trump tells him to do something. "Mike, we need you to put a data center in the backyard." — "Roger!" "Mike, we need you to hike their prescription drug prices." — "Roger!" "Mike, we need you to rubber-stamp this war we shouldn't be fighting." — "Roger!" "Mike" — and this one's Donald Trump — "I need you to lick these boots." — "Roger!" And I think—I think I speak for all of us here in Michigan when I say that we are done with Rogers. Go back to Florida where you belong!

Proud that New York is one of 12 states suing to stop Paramount's acquisition of Warner Bros. This is not a merger that serves the public. It would hand one company nearly a third of the movies and cable channels Americans watch, raise prices for streaming and cable, endanger the livelihoods of thousands of New York artists and entertainment workers, and threaten to shutter theaters across our city. New York's workers helped build this industry. They should not be sacrificed for the sake of further corporate consolidation.

Hello @ElonMusk. This is how you are perceived. Not too late to course correct but it’s getting pretty late. You certainly have the extra money on hand to really help the people of the world instead of the hellbent road of chaos and destruction you are ludicrously barreling down. Put down the Ket straw. 🤪

I welcome the decision, supported by an overwhelming majority of countries, to remove Karim Khan, the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court. This decision exposes the truth. Karim Khan was accused of sexually harassing women who worked under him. It was precisely as these allegations emerged that he canceled his planned visit to Israel, abandoned his previous commitment to thoroughly examine Israel’s independent judicial system, and suddenly moved to pursue arrest warrants against me and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant. He did so to divert attention from the allegations against him and to rally Israel’s enemies around him as a political shield. That shield has now been torn away. What has been exposed is not only Karim Khan’s true motivation, but also the profound injustice and corruption that have infected both the Office of the Prosecutor and the International Criminal Court itself. Last night, I spoke with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio. He once again reaffirmed America’s determination to act forcefully against this institution—an institution that undermines justice, attacks democratic and sovereign nations, and seeks to subordinate their security to the decisions of unaccountable and corrupt officials in The Hague. This is a very positive development. The truth must now be heard throughout the world.

Tomorrow, the House will vote on an amendment to block the $3.3 billion in taxpayer funding we send to Israel's military. I will vote yes. It is past time for us to end aid used to commit genocide in Gaza, kill innocents in Lebanon and beyond, and help drag us into war with Iran.

Hello @ElonMusk you were once going save the world and abolish poverty, instead you have insured the deaths of 100s of thousands. And for what? Your own greed and hubris. You had such potential. Squandered. You are not Iron Man, that’s for sure.  You are not a hero. You are kind of a monster. “The seven-hundred-plus thousand that have been estimated to have died at the end of a year since the U.S.A.I.D. closure comes from a couple of different sources. One is a Boston University estimate. A separate one comes from an international study published in The Lancet, looking at the impact U.S.A.I.D. had over the past twenty years—saving ninety-two million lives—and projecting, based on the cuts that have occurred, how many deaths have occurred, and they came up with a very similar number.” https://t.co/IXdLjHusb8

Won’t regulate AI and sides with the Epstein billionaire class as opposed to the people in CA struggling with the skyrocketing costs of health care. The billionaire tax is going to his desk and he is planning to veto it. Same as he did with AI regs and the AI safety kill switch, same with PFAS “forever chemical” cookware. Anything for the corporate class. We are over this. We want people that are willing to take up the fight. Fighters not folders. Learn from Mamdani, Gavin. https://t.co/IToFgKCzLJ

Reading these numbers

What is Mark Ruffalo's engagement rate on X?
Mark Ruffalo (@MarkRuffalo) has an engagement rate of 0.033%, based on the median interactions across 13 original posts from the last 30 days against 7,887,818 followers. Replies, reposts and quote-posts of other people are excluded from that sample.
Is that a good engagement rate?
At 0.033%, Mark Ruffalo sits above the 25th percentile of the 36,852 accounts in this comparison. Those comparison accounts are all large ones, because our scanning cadence is weighted towards big accounts, so this is a ranking among peers of similar scale rather than a ranking across X.
Does @MarkRuffalo have real engagement?
Its engagement rate beats 66% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (3,809 accounts), which puts it in the middle of its size range group. Ranking inside a size band matters because engagement rate falls as accounts grow, so a raw rate would mostly re-measure the follower count. It is a starting point for a look at follower quality, not a verdict on it.
When does @MarkRuffalo post?
Most posts go out around 19:00 UTC, and Wednesday is its busiest day, at roughly 0.73 posts per day across the measured window.
