Wizara ya Madini engagement report
@MadiniTanzania - 75K followers on X
Measured over 25 original posts from a 30-day window, last computed on October 21, 2026.
Engagement
A typical post picks up 5 interactions against 75K followers, an engagement rate of 0.007%. Measured over 25 original posts, its engagement rate beats 13% of 20,444 tracked accounts of a similar size. That is a reason to look at how the audience behaves - reply depth, saves, whether the followers are recent - rather than a conclusion about it on its own. Posts are seen about 297 times each, and 1.68% of those impressions turn into an interaction. That is about 0.396% of the follower count, which is the gap between an audience on paper and an audience in a timeline. Posting runs at about 0.9 post a day over the last 30 days, though only 7% of days saw any activity at all. Most posts go out around 19:00 UTC, and Tuesday is the busiest day of the week. Of the 25 posts sampled, 96% carry an image or video, 8% are part of a thread and 36% link out. The account's strongest tracked post pulled 45 interactions, about 9.0x its own typical post. Recurring topics include #roadtotmic2026, #tanzaniaisready, #we.

Compared with accounts its own size
Wizara ya Madini's engagement rate beats 13% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (20,444 accounts, accounts of similar size (decile 6 of 10)). A percentile is spread evenly by construction, so 50 really is the middle of that group and 90 really is its top tenth.
On engagement per impression rather than per follower it beats 55% of the same group. When those two numbers disagree, the gap is about how far its posts travel rather than how people react to them.
Where this sits in the catalog
At 0.007%, Wizara ya Madini sits above the 10th percentile of the 204,491 accounts in this comparison. That places it in the bottom 25% band, which runs below 0.024%.

Formats this account uses
Its own posting mix on the left, and what each of those formats does across every account we track on the right. Only formats where the effect clears our publish test appear here, so an empty row is a format we could not measure rather than one that does nothing.

Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, officially inaugurated the 2,115 MW Julius Nyerere Hydropower Project (JNHPP) in Rufiji, Coast Region. This historic project is more than a landmark in Tanzania’s energy sector, it is a strategic enabler of industrial growth and mineral value addition. A reliable and sufficient electricity supply will strengthen mining operations, support mineral processing, smelting and refining, reduce dependence on costly alternative power sources, and create a more attractive environment for energy-intensive mining investments. For Tanzania’s mining sector, the message is clear: Reliable Power ⚡ → Efficient Mining ⛏️ → More Processing 🏭 → Greater Value Addition 💎 → More Investment & Jobs 📈 → More Value for Tanzania 🇹🇿 The inauguration of JNHPP therefore marks not just the completion of a major power project, but the opening of a new era of opportunity for Tanzania’s mining and industrial transformation. Ltd has selected Tanzania as a processing centre for Heavy Mineral Sands produced from its projects in different countries, including Madagascar. 🔹 USD 600M investment footprint: Shenghe's total investment in Tanzania is estimated at approximately USD 600 million, including a Rare Earth Elements mining and processing project in Songwe. 🔹 More than 90% Tanzanian workforce: The projects are already creating employment opportunities, with 284 Kigamboni residents benefiting directly from jobs. 🔹 85,000 tonnes produced: Since 2024, approximately 85,000 tonnes of Heavy Mineral Sands have been produced through the Kigamboni project, with 14,793.35 tonnes already exported. 🔹 Value addition is the priority: Deputy Minister for Minerals Dr. Steven Kiruswa has called for the accelerated construction of the Tajiri processing plant, reaffirming the Government's commitment to ensuring minerals are processed and value-added within Tanzania before export. 📈 The momentum extends beyond investment. The Dar es Salaam/Pwani Mining Region collected TZS 4.06 billion in July 2026 alone, equivalent to 147.5% of its monthly target. Heavy Mineral Sands are essential inputs for products ranging from paints and tiles to aircraft components, creating significant opportunities for Tanzania to build a stronger domestic mineral value chain. The direction is clear: ⛏️ Mine responsibly. 🏭 Process locally. 💎 Add value. 🇹🇿 Create jobs. 📈 Grow the economy. Tanzania is not only rich in minerals, it is building the capacity to create greater value from them. #ValueAddition #InvestInTanzania #Mining #MineralProcessing #Industrialisation #HeavyMineralSands #CriticalMinerals #MineralsForEconomicGrowth #TanzaniaMining #MiningInvestment

🇹🇿 𝙈𝙆𝙐𝙍𝘼𝙉𝙂𝘼: 𝙏𝙐𝙍𝙉𝙄𝙉𝙂 𝙈𝙄𝙉𝙀𝙍𝘼𝙇 𝙍𝙀𝙎𝙊𝙐𝙍𝘾𝙀𝙎 𝙄𝙉𝙏𝙊 𝙄𝙉𝘿𝙐𝙎𝙏𝙍𝙄𝘼𝙇 𝙑𝘼𝙇𝙐𝙀 Tanzania’s mineral wealth is increasingly moving beyond extraction into factories, jobs, exports and industrial growth. A powerful example is emerging in Mkuranga, Pwani, where mineral value addition is gaining momentum and supporting Tanzania’s ambition to build a US$1 trillion economy through industrialisation under Vision 2050. During a visit to Mkuranga on 19 August 2026, Deputy Minister for Minerals Dr. Steven Kiruswa visited two major industrial facilities: 🏭 KEDA Tanzania Float Glass, producing approximately 600 tonnes of glass per day, with 98% of its raw materials sourced from Mkuranga and products reaching international markets, including the United States. 🏭 GoodWill Ceramic Co. Ltd, producing tiles, sanitary ware and household products, with 90% of its raw materials sourced locally from Tanzania. The company has created approximately 3,000 direct jobs and 12,000 indirect employment opportunities for Tanzanians. These investments demonstrate what mineral value addition can deliver when natural resources are connected to manufacturing: ➡️ Higher-value products ➡️ More jobs for Tanzanians ➡️ Increased exports ➡️ Expanded tax revenues ➡️ Stronger local supply chains ➡️ Greater industrial capacity Mkuranga is also positioning itself for further growth, with the District setting aside 15 acres for the development of a Dry Port to facilitate the storage and transportation of locally manufactured products. Dr. Kiruswa further emphasised compliance with Government-set indicative mineral prices and directed relevant authorities to strengthen engagement with mining licence holders and industrial investors on corporate social responsibility, environmental protection and responsible mineral development. 📌 The message is clear: Tanzania’s minerals must increasingly become the raw material for Tanzania-made products, Tanzanian jobs and global exports. From mineral resources to industrial transformation. 🇹🇿 #ValueAddedMinerals #Mkuranga #MineralsForIndustrialization #Tanzania #Mining #Industrialisation #LocalContent #ValueAddition #InvestTanzania

TANZANIA TIGHTENS OVERSIGHT OF TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE AGREEMENTS IN THE MINING SECTOR ⛏️🇹🇿 Tanzania is taking a stronger stance to ensure that technical assistance agreements in the mining sector deliver value, not exploitation. The Government has announced a special inspection operation to assess how these agreements are being implemented, ensure compliance with the law, protect license holders, and prevent arrangements that may unfairly deprive them of their rightful revenues and benefits. Speaking before the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Energy and Minerals, Minister for Minerals Hon. Anthony Mavunde directed Resident Mining Officers (RMOs) to conduct regular inspections at mining sites and take appropriate action where agreements are found to be abused. «Technical assistance should increase production, productivity and efficiency—not become a tool for exploitation or a source of disputes.» The numbers tell a bigger story 📊 🇹🇿 Tanzania produces approximately 65 tonnes of gold annually. ⛏️ Small-scale miners contribute around 40% of total gold production—underscoring their growing importance to the national mining economy. 🏭 By June 2026, domestic refineries had processed 36,776.37 kg of raw gold, reflecting growing domestic capacity for refining and value addition. 🔬 The Government has also allocated 10% of mining-sector revenues to research, while investing in modern laboratory infrastructure and technical services to strengthen geological information and mineral testing. At the same time, Parliamentary Standing Committee Chairperson Hon. Subira Mgalu has called for greater scrutiny of the growing number of mineral sample-testing laboratories to ensure that investors, miners and other stakeholders receive accurate, credible and reliable mineral analysis. The direction is clear. Tanzania's mining transformation is not only about producing more minerals. It is about building a sector anchored in transparency, accountability, scientific integrity, value addition and fairness. The objective is simple: Protect the license holder. Strengthen production. Improve value addition. Safeguard mineral revenues. Build trust in Tanzania's mining sector. #Mining #Tanzania #Minerals #Gold #SmallScaleMining #ValueAddition #MiningInvestment #MineralSector #Accountability #TechnicalAssistance #Research #MiningReforms

The initiative, which will begin in Chunya, aims to provide capital, modern mining equipment, and technology while empowering women, youth, and other special groups participating in the mining value chain. The long-term vision is to expand the model to other mining communities across Tanzania. During discussions with Deputy Minister for Minerals, Dr. Steven Kiruswa, the Government reaffirmed its commitment to creating an enabling investment environment while emphasizing that all mining activities must comply with Tanzania's laws, regulations, and established procedures. This initiative reflects the continued efforts of the Government of Tanzania under the leadership of H.E. Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan to attract responsible investment that delivers tangible benefits to local communities, creates jobs, promotes technology transfer, and accelerates inclusive economic growth. When strategic investment is aligned with national priorities, the result is more than increased mineral production, it is stronger local enterprises, empowered communities, and sustainable economic transformation. Chunya is the starting point. The opportunity extends across Tanzania. #Mining #Tanzania #SmallScaleMining #Investment #Minerals #EconomicDevelopment #Technology #MiningInnovation #SustainableMining #ResponsibleInvestment #Africa #MiningForDevelopment

Reading these numbers
- What is Wizara ya Madini's engagement rate on X?
- Wizara ya Madini (@MadiniTanzania) has an engagement rate of 0.007%, based on the median interactions across 25 original posts from the last 30 days against 75,080 followers. Replies, reposts and quote-posts of other people are excluded from that sample.
- Is that a good engagement rate?
- At 0.007%, Wizara ya Madini sits above the 10th percentile of the 204,491 accounts in this comparison. Those comparison accounts are all large ones, because our scanning cadence is weighted towards big accounts, so this is a ranking among peers of similar scale rather than a ranking across X.
- Does @MadiniTanzania have real engagement?
- Its engagement rate beats 13% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (20,444 accounts), which puts it in the bottom quarter for its size group. Ranking inside a size band matters because engagement rate falls as accounts grow, so a raw rate would mostly re-measure the follower count. It is a starting point for a look at follower quality, not a verdict on it.
- When does @MadiniTanzania post?
- Most posts go out around 19:00 UTC, and Tuesday is its busiest day, at roughly 0.9 posts per day across the measured window.
