C’est avec un cœur lourd, doublé d’une immense tristesse, que j’apprends le décès de Sidya Touré, ancien Premier ministre et président du parti UFR. J’ai eu la chance de l’interviewer pendant plusieurs années, du temps où nous étions à Nostalgie, dans l’émission « Africa 2015 ». Sidya Touré parlait avec franchise. Il disait ce qu’il pensait, sans faux-semblants. C’était un homme fier, qui souhaitait profondément voir notre pays se développer. Sa capacité intellectuelle était remarquable. Il savait analyser les situations avec lucidité et proposer des solutions pertinentes pour engager la Guinée sur la voie du développement et la sortir de la pauvreté. Par sa parole libre, son courage et son engagement politique, il a aussi contribué au rayonnement de la démocratie en Guinée. En 2022, il a quitté la Guinée pour s’exiler en Côte d’Ivoire après avoir vu sa résidence de la Minière lui être retirée par le patrimoine bâti. Un grand Homme s’éteint. Je prie le bon Dieu de l’accueillir au paradis. Amine.

Un enseignant donne des cours à des enfants dans un simple hangar à Diari Labe. Je vous invite à regarder la vidéo jusqu’à la fin. Elle est profondément triste. Il accueille cette initiative avec une immense gratitude, car elle arrive, dit-il, au moment où il traverse une période particulièrement difficile. Le gouvernement guinéen a interdit les objets et emballages en plastique à usage unique sur l’ensemble du territoire. Sur le principe, je comprends qu’il faut protéger l’environnement. Cependant, pour ce qui est des sachets d’eau, avant de les interdire, le gouvernement devrait d’abord s’assurer que tous les quartiers bénéficient d’une véritable adduction d’eau. Malheureusement, l’absence de robinets d’eau dans plusieurs quartiers de la capitale est une réalité flagrante. Beaucoup de citoyens n’ont ni eau de forage ni eau de la Société des Eaux de Guinée (SEG). Comment vont-ils trouver de l’eau à boire, alors que les bouteilles d’eau coûtent cher et demeurent inaccessibles à une grande partie des Guinéens ? Si le gouvernement n’est pas prêt à offrir à la population de l’eau de la SEG, le mieux serait d’autoriser uniquement la commercialisation des sachets d’eau. On ne peut pas exiger des citoyens qu’ils protègent l’environnement lorsqu’ils n’ont même pas accès à l’eau potable, surtout dans les quartiers où les robinets d’eau manquent toujours.

Après 22 mois de détention, @AlioubahMoDeL, Président du parti politique Model a été gracié, alors qu’il ne lui restait que 2 mois avant sa libération. La libération d’un détenu comme Aliou Bah est toujours une bonne nouvelle. Toutefois, compte tenu du moment choisi si proche de sa sortie prévue, on peut s’interroger. Tu as très courageux.
