LVMPD engagement report
@LVMPD - 311K followers on X
Measured over 45 original posts from a 30-day window, last computed on September 17, 2026.
Engagement
A typical post picks up 57 interactions against 311K followers, an engagement rate of 0.018%. Measured over 45 original posts, its engagement rate beats 33% of 15,519 tracked accounts of a similar size, which puts it in the middle of its size range rather than at either end. Posts are seen about 9.9K times each, and 0.575% of those impressions turn into an interaction. That is about 3.19% of the follower count, which is the gap between an audience on paper and an audience in a timeline. Posting runs at about 1.7 posts a day over the last 30 days, with activity on roughly 77% of days. Most posts go out around 21:00 UTC, and Tuesday is the busiest day of the week. Of the 45 posts sampled, 100% carry an image or video and 7% link out. The account's strongest tracked post pulled 2.8K interactions, about 50x its own typical post.

Compared with accounts its own size
LVMPD's engagement rate beats 33% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (15,519 accounts, accounts of similar size (decile 9 of 10)). A percentile is spread evenly by construction, so 50 really is the middle of that group and 90 really is its top tenth.
On engagement per impression rather than per follower it beats 31% of the same group. When those two numbers disagree, the gap is about how far its posts travel rather than how people react to them.
Where this sits in the catalog
At 0.018%, LVMPD sits above the 10th percentile of the 157,374 accounts in this comparison. That places it in the bottom 25% band, which runs below 0.022%.

Formats this account uses
Its own posting mix on the left, and what each of those formats does across every account we track on the right. Only formats where the effect clears our publish test appear here, so an empty row is a format we could not measure rather than one that does nothing.
| Format | This account | Catalog effect | 95% interval | Accounts behind it |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Image or video | 100% of posts | +111% | +108% to +115% | 34K |
| Outbound link | 7% of posts | -41% | -42% to -40% | 32K |
| Typical length | - | +15% | +14% to +16% | 32K |
- 100% of this account's sampled posts carry an image or video. Across the catalog, posts with an image or video run 111% above the same accounts' other posts.
- 7% of its posts carry a link off X. Across the catalog, posts with an outbound link run 41% below the same accounts' other posts.
- Its average post runs 475 characters, which falls in the over 280 characters band. Across the catalog, posts over 280 characters run 15% above the same accounts' other posts.
These are catalog-wide differences applied to this account's own posting mix, not a measurement of how each format performs for this account specifically. We keep one median per account, not one per format per account, so the second thing is not something this data can tell you.

On Monday evening, August 10, around 7:15 p.m., LVMPD Search and Rescue responded to Lone Mountain after an individual attempting to climb the mountain’s southern face became stranded in a dangerous position. The individual was uninjured and able to call 911, but told dispatchers they did not believe they could maintain their position much longer without falling. LVMPD AIR1 immediately responded and inserted an LVMPD Search and Rescue member above the stranded climber. The rescuer established an anchor and rappelled down the cliff face to reach them. The climber was secured in a rescue harness before AIR1 returned and performed a double-up Lezard hoist, lifting both the climber and rescuer directly from the face of the mountain. They were flown to an improvised landing zone near the equestrian trail parking area and safely transferred to personnel on the ground. This rescue is also an important reminder about knowing your limits in the outdoors. The individual had some indoor climbing experience but did not have the outdoor climbing experience or preparation necessary for the route they attempted. Outdoor climbing requires skills, preparation and risk assessment that are very different from climbing in a controlled indoor environment. If you are inexperienced outdoors, seek instruction from a qualified guide or experienced mentor, stay on appropriate routes, carry the proper equipment, and don't attempt terrain beyond your training or ability. Most experienced climbers understand these risks and take extensive steps to prepare before heading out. Unfortunately, our Search and Rescue team occasionally encounters situations where people venture into technical terrain without the experience or equipment necessary to safely get themselves back down.

Officer Austin Zade Abdelnabi was laid to rest Saturday in Greer, South Carolina, surrounded by family, friends, fellow Marines, law enforcement officers, and a community that came together to honor his life and sacrifice. The support shown to the Abdelnabi family and the LVMPD family throughout this difficult journey has been extraordinary. We extend our deepest gratitude to the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office, the North Carolina Troopers Association Caisson Unit, the many law enforcement agencies, organizations, businesses, and South Carolina community partners who helped make Officer Abdelnabi’s funeral possible. Members of the LVMPD Honor Guard also traveled to South Carolina to stand alongside Officer Abdelnabi’s family and assist in honoring our fallen brother. To everyone who donated, volunteered, stood along the procession route, offered prayers, or simply showed up, thank you. Your kindness and support will never be forgotten. Officer Austin Zade Abdelnabi made the ultimate sacrifice while serving our community. He will forever be remembered, forever honored, and forever part of the LVMPD family💙

DRONE SUCCESS STORY! On July 20, 2026, LVMPD officers responded to an armed robbery in the 4300 block of Spring Mountain Road. An LVMPD drone was quickly deployed and located a male matching the suspect’s description. The drone pilot guided patrol officers to the suspect’s location. After a brief foot pursuit, the suspect was taken into custody. Another example of how LVMPD’s drone technology is helping officers locate suspects and respond quickly! Event: LLV260700081199

Remembering September 11 💙 This morning, our officers stood alongside @LasVegasFD at Station 5 for the annual September 11th Tolling of the Bell Ceremony. This solemn tradition honors the victims of 9/11, and pays tribute to the 343 FDNY firefighters who made the ultimate sacrifice that day. The ceremony began at 6:45 a.m., marking the approximate time the South Tower of the World Trade Center collapsed. Station 5 holds profound symbols of remembrance: a piece of steel recovered from Ground Zero and a flag that once flew above the World Trade Center. Each year, on this day, that flag is raised in honor of all who were lost.

He entered the academy alongside his son, Christopher, making history as the first father-son duo to graduate together. Hunter’s dedication to his faith, family, and service was unmatched. - What is LVMPD's engagement rate on X?
- LVMPD (@LVMPD) has an engagement rate of 0.018%, based on the median interactions across 45 original posts from the last 30 days against 310,565 followers. Replies, reposts and quote-posts of other people are excluded from that sample.
- Is that a good engagement rate?
- At 0.018%, LVMPD sits above the 10th percentile of the 157,374 accounts in this comparison. Those comparison accounts are all large ones, because our scanning cadence is weighted towards big accounts, so this is a ranking among peers of similar scale rather than a ranking across X.
- Does @LVMPD have real engagement?
- Its engagement rate beats 33% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (15,519 accounts), which puts it in the middle of its size range group. Ranking inside a size band matters because engagement rate falls as accounts grow, so a raw rate would mostly re-measure the follower count. It is a starting point for a look at follower quality, not a verdict on it.
- When does @LVMPD post?
- Most posts go out around 21:00 UTC, and Tuesday is its busiest day, at roughly 1.7 posts per day across the measured window.
