Early reading. We have captured 1 original post for this account, below the 8 we require before treating a median as settled. The numbers above describe what we have seen so far, not a finished profile of the account.

A typical post picks up 202 interactions against 276K followers, an engagement rate of 0.073%. Posts are seen about 12K times each, and 1.68% of those impressions turn into an interaction. That is about 4.35% of the follower count, which is the gap between an audience on paper and an audience in a timeline. Posting runs at about 0.2 posts a day over the last 30 days, though only 13% of days saw any activity at all. Most posts go out around 19:00 UTC, and Tuesday is the busiest day of the week. Of the 1 posts sampled, 100% carry an image or video. The account's strongest tracked post pulled 7.2K interactions, about 36x its own typical post. Recurring topics include #african, #kenyanairways. Only 1 original post have been captured so far, fewer than the 8 posts we want behind a median before treating it as settled. Read the figures above as an early measurement of this account, not as a finished profile of it.

Engagement rate as a share of followers, across the 156,969 accounts we have scanned enough to measure. The axis is logarithmic, because the top and bottom of this population are about 26,068 times apart and a linear axis would flatten everything below the median into a single point.

Posting timing

This account posts most often around 19:00 UTC, and Tuesday is its busiest day of the week. The bars below are the catalog-wide pattern, with this account's own busiest slot marked. They do not show how this account performs at each hour: we keep one aggregate per account, not one per hour, so that measurement does not exist in our data.

Formats this account uses

Its own posting mix on the left, and what each of those formats does across every account we track on the right. Only formats where the effect clears our publish test appear here, so an empty row is a format we could not measure rather than one that does nothing.

  • 0% of its posts carry a link off X. Across the catalog, posts with an outbound link run 41% below the same accounts' other posts.
  • Its average post runs 33 characters, which falls in the under 80 characters band. Across the catalog, posts under 80 characters run 8% below the same accounts' other posts.

These are catalog-wide differences applied to this account's own posting mix, not a measurement of how each format performs for this account specifically. We keep one median per account, not one per format per account, so the second thing is not something this data can tell you.

Why can’t Nyandarua hold an annual “ WARU ( potatoes) Festival” where people would gather and eat cooked potatoes with other additives? The region grows a lot of potatoes and this would be an ideal annual gathering and cerebrations of the harvest. What do you think?

Suppose Kenya Government created an Agricultural Bank, capitalise it with Kshs 100billion, appoint impeccable management, mandate it to develop and promote agri - based industries and other activities, what would happen to our food security, cost of food, agri- based employment among other developments? What would really happen to Kenya? I am just wondering. What do you think would happen?

In Nairobi the population during the day is about twice the population at night. It means there that a lot of people come into the capital during the day and leave in the evening. Nairobi should therefore formally adopt a ‘TRANSPORT- LED GROWTH STRATEGY’, in order to come up with the appropriate strategies for moving people within, into and out of Nairobi. Nairobi will there need leadership which understands this type of strategy and be ready and willing to implement it wholeheartedly.

I strongly recommend this book: BREAKNECK by Dan Wang. It was published this year. It ,somehow , argues that China is led by Engineers while USA is led largely by Lawyers and this difference in type of leaderships has its consequences. Creating things while the other regulates etc. Read it if you want to understand some strategies of accelerating economic growth. And let me know what you think.

Since Kenyan leaders want to benchmark Kenya against Singapore it is good to remember that Singapore itself did not benchmark itself against a single country. As a small city state it borrowed from Israel realism, British institutions including rule of law and creation of a professional and politically neutral civil service . It also borrowed from the Japanese economic discipline, Swiss integrity, Dutch efficiency in port management among others and of course American openness. So Kenya needs to understand that it may need to learn from many different countries. What do you think?

A better model for modernising Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) would have been : -Sell 25% shares to public through an IPO -Sell 25% to a strategic investor/ operator -Government keeps 50% ownership -Issue a Green bond backed by receivables (securitization) This way JKIA would get the funds they need , Kenyans would participate in ownership, the capital market would continue to grow, better operations would be guaranteed by the strategy investor/ operator and yes in future the government can offload the balance of shares if need be. What do you think?
