Measured over 40 original posts from a 30-day window, last computed on August 27, 2026.
Engagement
A typical post picks up 260 interactions against 538K followers, an engagement rate of 0.048%. Measured over 40 original posts, its engagement rate beats 56% of 3,810 tracked accounts of a similar size, which puts it in the middle of its size range rather than at either end. Posts are seen about 9.0K times each, and 2.88% of those impressions turn into an interaction. That is about 1.68% of the follower count, which is the gap between an audience on paper and an audience in a timeline. Posting runs at about 1.3 post a day over the last 30 days, though only 43% of days saw any activity at all. Most posts go out around 21:00 UTC, and Sunday is the busiest day of the week. Of the 40 posts sampled, 88% carry an image or video and 40% link out. The account's strongest tracked post pulled 1.0K interactions, about 3.8x its own typical post. Recurring topics include #jimihendrix, #hendrix, #happybirthday.

Compared with accounts its own size
Jimi Hendrix's engagement rate beats 56% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (3,810 accounts, accounts of similar size (decile 7 of 10)). A percentile is spread evenly by construction, so 50 really is the middle of that group and 90 really is its top tenth.
On engagement per impression rather than per follower it beats 80% of the same group. When those two numbers disagree, the gap is about how far its posts travel rather than how people react to them.
Where this sits in the catalog
At 0.048%, Jimi Hendrix sits above the 25th percentile of the 36,960 accounts in this comparison. That places it in the below the median band, which runs 0.012% to 0.08%.

On August 20, 1970 Jimi Hendrix recorded "Slow Blues" at Electric Lady Studios. This gorgeous, slow blues jam, featured a unique guitar tone but the recording inexplicably cut out and the song ended. It marked the last multi-track studio recordings created by Hendrix and is featured on 2000's purple box set THE JIMI HENDRIX EXPERIENCE. #JimiHendrix #SlowBlues #Multitrack

On August 24, 1967 The Jimi Hendrix Experience recorded live vocals over an instrumental recording of "Burning Of The Midnight Lamp" for the September 7th edition of the BBC's TOP OF THE POPS. Demonstrating the perils of live recordings, when the music started, Alan Price Set's "The House That Jack Built" played rather than Jimi's own "Burning Of The Midnight Lamp." After a quick changeover, The Experience performed. While unrelated to the show, in 1972, Polydor Records (Japan) released the single to "Johnny B. Goode" b/w "Little Wing" featuring a rarely seen photo of Jimi performing at the BBC on this date. #JimiHendrix #TheJimiHendrixExperience #BBC #TopOfThePops #MidnightLamp

- What is Jimi Hendrix's engagement rate on X?
- Jimi Hendrix (@JimiHendrix) has an engagement rate of 0.048%, based on the median interactions across 40 original posts from the last 30 days against 538,006 followers. Replies, reposts and quote-posts of other people are excluded from that sample.
- Is that a good engagement rate?
- At 0.048%, Jimi Hendrix sits above the 25th percentile of the 36,960 accounts in this comparison. Those comparison accounts are all large ones, because our scanning cadence is weighted towards big accounts, so this is a ranking among peers of similar scale rather than a ranking across X.
- Does @JimiHendrix have real engagement?
- Its engagement rate beats 56% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (3,810 accounts), which puts it in the middle of its size range group. Ranking inside a size band matters because engagement rate falls as accounts grow, so a raw rate would mostly re-measure the follower count. It is a starting point for a look at follower quality, not a verdict on it.
- When does @JimiHendrix post?
- Most posts go out around 21:00 UTC, and Sunday is its busiest day, at roughly 1.33 posts per day across the measured window.
