Early reading. We have captured 7 original posts for this account, below the 8 we require before treating a median as settled. The numbers above describe what we have seen so far, not a finished profile of the account.

A typical post picks up 47 interactions against 351K followers, an engagement rate of 0.013%. Posts are seen about 5.2K times each, and 0.896% of those impressions turn into an interaction. That is about 1.49% of the follower count, which is the gap between an audience on paper and an audience in a timeline. Posting runs at about 0.27 posts a day over the last 30 days, though only 23% of days saw any activity at all. Most posts go out around 17:00 UTC, and Thursday is the busiest day of the week. Of the 7 posts sampled, 100% carry an image or video. The account's strongest tracked post pulled 670 interactions, about 3.5x its own typical post. Recurring topics include #srilanka, #saudiarabia, #sept11. Only 7 original posts have been captured so far, fewer than the 8 posts we want behind a median before treating it as settled. Read the figures above as an early measurement of this account, not as a finished profile of it.

This account posts most often around 17:00 UTC, and Thursday is its busiest day of the week. The bars below are the catalog-wide pattern, with this account's own busiest slot marked. They do not show how this account performs at each hour: we keep one aggregate per account, not one per hour, so that measurement does not exist in our data.

Formats this account uses

Its own posting mix on the left, and what each of those formats does across every account we track on the right. Only formats where the effect clears our publish test appear here, so an empty row is a format we could not measure rather than one that does nothing.

  • 0% of its posts carry a link off X. Across the catalog, posts with an outbound link run 41% below the same accounts' other posts.
  • Its average post runs 549 characters, which falls in the over 280 characters band. Across the catalog, posts over 280 characters run 15% above the same accounts' other posts.

These are catalog-wide differences applied to this account's own posting mix, not a measurement of how each format performs for this account specifically. We keep one median per account, not one per format per account, so the second thing is not something this data can tell you.

This Govt was about to fine your local shop Rs. 1 million for not registering for VAT. The same Govt that let online casinos pay nothing. The same Govt where the National Film Corporation collected VAT and didn't remit it. The same Govt applying a tax that's actually 22%, not the 18% they advertise. Expanding the tax base is right. But it must be equitable, not a system that squeezes the small trader while the powerful walk free. We raised it at COPF. We raised it in @ParliamentLK. 95% of public responses said this was wrong. Today they backed down. The threshold stays at Rs. 60 million. That's not their win. That's yours. 🇱🇰 #SriLanka #COPF #VAT #SSCL #PeopleWin #Accountability #LKA

PickMe pays 18% VAT on the full ride fare. Uber pays 18% VAT on its service fee only. Same trip. Same road. Ten times the tax burden on the local company. PickMe can't absorb that gap, so it gets passed to you. Higher fares. Every time. And beyond ride-hailing, every local SaaS platform and homegrown digital service faces the same asymmetry, making it rational for Sri Lankan entrepreneurs to simply incorporate in Singapore instead. Here's what makes it worse: it was COPF that pushed to bring foreign digital platforms into the VAT net in the first place. Before that, Uber paid nothing. We fixed half the problem. The Govt then implemented the framework without equalising the tax base, and handed foreign platforms a structural advantage inside a net we built to level the playing field. I raised this in @ParliamentLK on June 23rd. The VAT threshold fight was won. This one isn't over.

Haris de Silva. 1933-2016 Retired Director of the National Archives. Heartfelt thanks to all who took time to visit our father’s house and the cemetery yesterday to pay their respects to my late father, and also to all those who called and messaged to condole. He lived a long and content life. He thought. He read. He wrote. He showed us by his actions that principles matter. He taught us that we must live by the set of rules we write for ourselves. He advised us never to compromise our integrity. My sister and I will be eternally grateful for all he did for us; being not just our father but also our mother for most of our lives! @SL_Archives

Thank you #SouthernHighway 1969 Emergency Roadside Assistance! Last evening my wife and I had to face a bit of a scary situation but one call and the crew came in within minutes and helped me sort out the problem. They were professional and courteous. In fact they wouldn’t let me change; did it themselves which I don’t think is even their responsibility. Everyone: check your tyres. Lucky for us I was at only 100km/h and it was the rear. #RDA #SriLanka

10 years today! Today marks a decade since the very first #1990SuwaSeriya ambulance was flagged off at Galle Face under major protest by the #GMOA and certain political elements. Today it has become the this country’s most loved and most efficient public service attending to around 1,000 incidents traveling close to 30,000 kilometres every single day. Grateful to PM @narendramodi and PM @RW_SRILANKA for believing in this dream. Much obliged to the people of #India for the initial USD 23m gift to start converting it to reality. From day 1 it was the vision and technological innovation of the board led by @DumindraR and the execution by the 1,500+ staff led by the CEO @kcsdesilva that made #SuwaSeriya what it is! Today no matter where you are one call to #1990 will see a fully equipped micro hospital at your doorstep in less than 13 minutes average to deal with any medical emergency. I wish the new management Pres @anuradisanayake appointed last year and hope they continue and improve on this life saving service. May #1990SuwaSeriya continue to serve the people of this country for generations to come!

That everyone is in favour of the 22nd amendment to the #SriLanka constitution is a huge overstatement. Like other such controversial pieces of legislation over the years this one too the government will get through with their 2/3 majority. But, time will tell what a political mistake it was.
