Early reading. We have captured 7 original posts for this account, below the 8 we require before treating a median as settled. The numbers above describe what we have seen so far, not a finished profile of the account.

A typical post picks up 12 interactions against 175K followers, an engagement rate of 0.007%. Posts are seen about 2.2K times each, and 0.557% of those impressions turn into an interaction. That is about 1.23% of the follower count, which is the gap between an audience on paper and an audience in a timeline. Posting runs at about 0.23 posts a day over the last 30 days, though only 23% of days saw any activity at all. Most posts go out around 12:00 UTC, and Friday is the busiest day of the week. Of the 7 posts sampled, 100% carry an image or video and 86% link out. The account's strongest tracked post pulled 98 interactions, about 8.2x its own typical post. Only 7 original posts have been captured so far, fewer than the 8 posts we want behind a median before treating it as settled. Read the figures above as an early measurement of this account, not as a finished profile of it.

Where this sits in the catalog

At 0.007%, Glencore sits above the 10th percentile of the 205,152 accounts in this comparison. That places it in the bottom 25% band, which runs below 0.024%.

Engagement rate as a share of followers, across the 205,152 accounts we have scanned enough to measure. The axis is logarithmic, because the top and bottom of this population are about 22,894 times apart and a linear axis would flatten everything below the median into a single point.

This account posts most often around 12:00 UTC, and Friday is its busiest day of the week. The bars below are the catalog-wide pattern, with this account's own busiest slot marked. They do not show how this account performs at each hour: we keep one aggregate per account, not one per hour, so that measurement does not exist in our data.

Formats this account uses

Its own posting mix on the left, and what each of those formats does across every account we track on the right. Only formats where the effect clears our publish test appear here, so an empty row is a format we could not measure rather than one that does nothing.

  • 100% of this account's sampled posts carry an image or video. Across the catalog, posts with an image or video run 111% above the same accounts' other posts.
  • 86% of its posts carry a link off X. Across the catalog, posts with an outbound link run 41% below the same accounts' other posts, so a large share of this account's output sits in the weakest bucket we measure.
  • Its average post runs 595 characters, which falls in the over 280 characters band. Across the catalog, posts over 280 characters run 15% above the same accounts' other posts.

These are catalog-wide differences applied to this account's own posting mix, not a measurement of how each format performs for this account specifically. We keep one median per account, not one per format per account, so the second thing is not something this data can tell you.

Looking back at a great week of discussion and engagement in Washington D.C. As well as signing an MoU with the Orion Critical Mineral Consortium, Glencore’s President in the DRC Marie-Chantal Kaninda and Head of Marketing for Metals and Bulks Jyotish George attended a U.S.-DRC Presidential Business Roundtable organised by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce's U.S.-Africa Business Center. Marie-Chantal opened the roundtable by welcoming the President of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Félix Tshisekedi. The discussion focused on how to advance projects that deepen the U.S.-DRC economic partnership and support job creation for local communities. With a long history in the DRC, we believe in the power of partnership as a driver of change and recognise that our operations at Kamoto Copper Company S.A. and Mutanda Mining Sarl have a role to play far beyond mining. As of May 2025, Glencore employed over 8,000 employees, more than 97% of whom were Congolese nationals, and over 8,000 contractors, demonstrating our commitment to building a resilient and sustainable business and improving the lives of our workforce and communities. We look forwards to continued engagement with governments in both the U.S. and the DRC on opportunities for collaboration. Photo credit: U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s U.S-Africa Business Center

Meet Diana Pérez, Environmental Superintendent at Glencore's Cerrejón Colombia. Diana joined Cerrejón 18 years ago as an environmental engineering intern. Since then, she has grown through a range of roles, building expertise in environmental management along the way. Her work has spanned air-quality monitoring, community engagement, and exploring how former mining areas can support conservation and productive land use. She has also been involved in prior consultation processes with local communities, helping make complex environmental topics more accessible. Last week our energy and metals teams were on the ground at CERAWeek in Houston, at the centre of important conversations about the future of global commodities markets. 🎤 Maxim Kolupaev, Head of Energy Marketing, participated in a timely panel discussion on the importance of regional security for the global LNG market, touching on everything from the effectiveness of price benchmarks to the rise of AI and implications for demand. 🎤 Jyothish George, Head of Marketing for Metals and Bulks, spoke with S&P Global’s Daniel Yergin about how closer collaboration between mining companies and governments – to support smarter permitting and advance recycling – will be essential to unlocking copper supply. 🎤 Glencore’s President in the DRC Marie-Chantal Kaninda joined a discussion which focused on the uniqueness of the Lobito Corridor – a rail and infrastructure project stretching from Angola to the DRC and Zambia – and its importance to our operations at Kamoto Copper Company S.A. and Mutanda Mining Sarl. 🎤 Robin Francois, Head of Lithium Marketing, and Robin Scheiner Head of Aluminium, Alumina and Bauxite, both took part in panel discussions that explored the challenges associated with financing critical minerals projects. 🎤 And Low Carbon Fuels Lead Timo Huhrisaari spoke about the strategic partnerships and policy adjustments that will be critical to securing sustainable feedstocks to help meet rising demand for biofuels. It was a strong week of dialogue and a reminder of just how interconnected the challenges and opportunities across energy and metals really are. We’re already looking forward to being part of the conversation again next year. #CERAWeek #CWAgora

We have signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Orion Critical Mineral Consortium (Orion CMC) – the largest initiative to create secure supply chains for critical minerals including #copper and #cobalt to the United States and its allies – related to the potential acquisition of a 40% stake in our interests in Glencore’s assets in the DRC, Mutanda Mining SARL (MUMI) and Kamoto Copper Company S.A. (KCC). Together, we will look for opportunities to expand and develop MUMI and KCC, working with our partners from the DRC Government and Gécamines, our existing partner in KCC, as well as to acquire additional critical mineral projects and assets in the region. At Glencore’s Cerrejón operation, we recognise that land rehabilitation is important. Working in partnership with neighbouring communities, our teams are advancing soil rehabilitation projects to help turn rehabilitated land into productive ground. At the Manantial de Cerrejón Experimental Farm, rehabilitated land is being used to grow food and soil quality assessments are helping to support decision making about the future use of rehabilitated tropical dry forest land. And the results are in! So far, the farm has produced over approximately 2,000 kg of watermelon, 1,500 kg of pumpkin, 250 kg of corn and 15 kg of beans. Knowledge about farming production and land use models designed to support biodiversity and strengthen water management is also being shared with participating farmers. Juan Pablo Lozano, Cerrejón's Environmental Management Manager, explains: “Cerrejón has conceived the farm as a model for knowledge transfer to neighbouring communities and territories with similar conditions.” Read more: https://t.co/pIke0u3Wfv
