GeM engagement report
@GeM_India - 116K followers on X
Measured over 39 original posts from a 30-day window, last computed on October 8, 2026.
Engagement
A typical post picks up 3 interactions against 116K followers, an engagement rate of 0.003%. Measured over 39 original posts, its engagement rate beats 9% of 20,444 tracked accounts of a similar size. That is a reason to look at how the audience behaves - reply depth, saves, whether the followers are recent - rather than a conclusion about it on its own. Posts are seen about 1.0K times each, and 0.299% of those impressions turn into an interaction. That is about 0.869% of the follower count, which is the gap between an audience on paper and an audience in a timeline. Posting runs at about 1.3 post a day over the last 30 days, though only 27% of days saw any activity at all. Most posts go out around 06:00 UTC, and Wednesday is the busiest day of the week. Of the 39 posts sampled, 36% carry an image or video and 74% link out. The account's strongest tracked post pulled 8 interactions, about 2.7x its own typical post. Recurring topics include #gemtraining, #gembuyers, #gemportal.

Compared with accounts its own size
GeM's engagement rate beats 9% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (20,444 accounts, accounts of similar size (decile 8 of 10)). A percentile is spread evenly by construction, so 50 really is the middle of that group and 90 really is its top tenth.
On engagement per impression rather than per follower it beats 16% of the same group. When those two numbers disagree, the gap is about how far its posts travel rather than how people react to them.
Where this sits in the catalog
At 0.003%, GeM sits below the 10th percentile of the 205,152 accounts in this comparison. That places it in the bottom 25% band, which runs below 0.024%.

| Percentile | Engagement rate |

Formats this account uses
Its own posting mix on the left, and what each of those formats does across every account we track on the right. Only formats where the effect clears our publish test appear here, so an empty row is a format we could not measure rather than one that does nothing.
| Format | This account | Catalog effect | 95% interval | Accounts behind it |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Image or video | 36% of posts | +111% | +108% to +115% | 34K |
| Outbound link | 74% of posts | -41% | -42% to -40% | 32K |
| Typical length | - | +15% | +14% to +16% | 32K |
- 36% of this account's sampled posts carry an image or video. Across the catalog, posts with an image or video run 111% above the same accounts' other posts.
- 74% of its posts carry a link off X. Across the catalog, posts with an outbound link run 41% below the same accounts' other posts, so a large share of this account's output sits in the weakest bucket we measure.
- Its average post runs 469 characters, which falls in the over 280 characters band. Across the catalog, posts over 280 characters run 15% above the same accounts' other posts.
These are catalog-wide differences applied to this account's own posting mix, not a measurement of how each format performs for this account specifically. We keep one median per account, not one per format per account, so the second thing is not something this data can tell you.

Not just an order. A new benchmark for public procurement. When a single transaction crosses ₹52,000 crore, the marketplace itself has levelled up. NLC India Limited (under the Ministry of Coal) has placed a record ₹52,532 crore order on Government e Marketplace (GeM) for Mine Development & Operation (MDO) Services — the highest-value order ever executed on GeM. Estimated bid value: ₹60,364 crore Final order value: ₹52,532 crore Approx. 13% savings unlocked through competitive, transparent bidding This isn’t merely a large procurement. It’s scale meeting efficiency. Transparency meeting technology. And value meeting national priority. A powerful demonstration of how digital public procurement on GeM continues to deliver bigger outcomes, sharper savings and stronger trust. #GeMIndia #ThursdayTreasure @DoC_GoI @CimGOI @PiyushGoyal @CoalMinistry

📌 #GeMWeeklyBulletin From celebrating the richness of हिंदी भाषा to empowering stakeholders—GeM continues to strengthen its role as a catalyst for efficient, transparent and inclusive public procurement. The highlights capture the momentum from across the country. 📍#GeMinDelhi GeM has launched a weekly workshop series for recently promoted senior officials across various departments of the Government of NCT of Delhi, in coordination with the Finance Department. The initiative is aimed at strengthening officials’ understanding of public procurement and enabling more effective utilisation of the GeM portal. The interactive sessions cover key areas including GeM overview and registration, Direct Purchase, L1 procurement, Forward Auctions, applicable GFR provisions, and live demonstrations of draft bid creation for products and services. The workshops also feature dedicated Q&A and myth-busting sessions, along with practical, department-specific procurement examples. Through this hands-on approach, the series seeks to help officials navigate procurement processes with greater clarity and utilise GeM efficiently for their departmental requirements. 📍#GeMinMeghalya GeM participated in the district-wise GeM Boot Camp held in Nongpoh on 25th September 2026, and in Nongstoin on 28th September, organised by the Directorate of Commerce & Industries, Government of Meghalaya, under the Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP) Scheme. The sessions brought together 27 participants in Nongpoh and 32 in Nongstoin, including local sellers and businesses, for interactive training and handholding sessions led by #TeamGeM. The sessions covered key processes, including new seller registration, profile completion and product uploading. Team GeM also addressed participants’ queries and provided guidance on various aspects of selling through the GeM platform, with a focus on building seller capabilities, increasing awareness and facilitating onboarding. The Nongpoh and Nongstoin Boot Camps are part of the ongoing district-wise initiative being conducted across Meghalaya from 17th September to 14th October 2026, aimed at helping local businesses understand and leverage opportunities available through GeM. 📍#GeMinDelhi As part of Hindi Pakhwada 2026, being observed from 14th–29th September, GeM organised a series of activities to promote the use and appreciation of Hindi across the organisation. As part of the celebrations, Hindi Language & General Knowledge Quiz (हिंदी भाषा एवं सामान्य ज्ञान से जुड़ी विविध प्रश्नोत्तरी प्रतियोगिता), Hindi Art & Craft Competition (हिंदी कला एवं शिल्प प्रतियोगिता) and Poster-cum-Slogan Competition (पोस्टर सह स्लोगन प्रतियोगिता) were organised at the GeM office, witnessing enthusiastic participation from employees. - What is GeM's engagement rate on X?
- GeM (@GeM_India) has an engagement rate of 0.003%, based on the median interactions across 39 original posts from the last 30 days against 115,566 followers. Replies, reposts and quote-posts of other people are excluded from that sample.
- Is that a good engagement rate?
- At 0.003%, GeM sits below the 10th percentile of the 205,152 accounts in this comparison. Those comparison accounts are all large ones, because our scanning cadence is weighted towards big accounts, so this is a ranking among peers of similar scale rather than a ranking across X.
- Does @GeM_India have real engagement?
- Its engagement rate beats 9% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (20,444 accounts), which puts it in the bottom 10% for its size group. Ranking inside a size band matters because engagement rate falls as accounts grow, so a raw rate would mostly re-measure the follower count. It is a starting point for a look at follower quality, not a verdict on it.
- When does @GeM_India post?
- Most posts go out around 06:00 UTC, and Wednesday is its busiest day, at roughly 1.33 posts per day across the measured window.
