A typical post picks up 188 interactions against 103K followers, an engagement rate of 0.183%. Measured over 13 original posts, its engagement rate beats 62% of 20,183 tracked accounts of a similar size, which puts it in the middle of its size range rather than at either end. Posts are seen about 5.8K times each, and 3.24% of those impressions turn into an interaction. That is about 5.67% of the follower count, which is the gap between an audience on paper and an audience in a timeline. Posting runs at about 0.43 posts a day over the last 30 days, though only 43% of days saw any activity at all. Most posts go out around 23:00 UTC, and Monday is the busiest day of the week. Of the 13 posts sampled, 100% carry an image or video. The account's strongest tracked post pulled 1.2K interactions, about 6.5x its own typical post.

Compared with accounts its own size

Gabby Barrett's engagement rate beats 62% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (20,183 accounts, accounts of similar size (decile 7 of 10)). A percentile is spread evenly by construction, so 50 really is the middle of that group and 90 really is its top tenth.

On engagement per impression rather than per follower it beats 75% of the same group. When those two numbers disagree, the gap is about how far its posts travel rather than how people react to them.

Where this sits in the catalog

At 0.183%, Gabby Barrett sits above the 50th percentile of the 202,076 accounts in this comparison. That places it in the above the median band, which runs 0.142% to 0.672%.

Posting timing

This account posts most often around 23:00 UTC, and Monday is its busiest day of the week. The bars below are the catalog-wide pattern, with this account's own busiest slot marked. They do not show how this account performs at each hour: we keep one aggregate per account, not one per hour, so that measurement does not exist in our data.

Formats this account uses

Its own posting mix on the left, and what each of those formats does across every account we track on the right. Only formats where the effect clears our publish test appear here, so an empty row is a format we could not measure rather than one that does nothing.

  • 100% of this account's sampled posts carry an image or video. Across the catalog, posts with an image or video run 111% above the same accounts' other posts.
  • 0% of its posts carry a link off X. Across the catalog, posts with an outbound link run 41% below the same accounts' other posts.
  • Its average post runs 79 characters, which falls in the under 80 characters band. Across the catalog, posts under 80 characters run 8% below the same accounts' other posts.

These are catalog-wide differences applied to this account's own posting mix, not a measurement of how each format performs for this account specifically. We keep one median per account, not one per format per account, so the second thing is not something this data can tell you.

I got the pleasure of meeting Dolly, and I’ve told the story at my shows through the years that I’m still pretty sure I hugged her a little too hard the first time we met as I was so excited. I got to pick her brain some about this business and was lucky enough to receive encouragement from her along the way. She sent me a handwritten card with butterflies on it, and I know exactly where that card is in my house. I made a point to keep it forever, and I always will. And crazy enough, Baylah (my 5 year old) just recently asked me, “Mom, when am I gonna get to meet Dolly Parton?” I told her, “Hmmm I’m not sure.” There was just nobody like her. She was so witty and could make you laugh, and then turn around and break your heart with a song. She was a songwriter and a country music woman through and through. I don’t know if I’ve ever seen someone so dedicated to this music and to what it means. She gave so much to country music, but I’ll always be especially grateful for the little bit of kindness and encouragement she gave to me. A true treasure who will be missed.

Before I was writing songs in Nashville, I used to sit in my room singing songs like this for hours. Been working on a lot of music lately and found myself back in that headspace again… ✨✨✨ https://t.co/omOX9Iekli

I almost didn’t post this because I’m pretty introverted and don’t usually talk through what I’m feeling out loud.. I also never want it to come across like I’m complaining, because I love my life deeply and have SO much to be grateful for. But sometimes you’re also just a tired gal 😂 There’s a whole lot of real life happening behind everyone’s phone too. Maybe that’s part of what makes this next song feel so true to where I am right now. “Every Minute of It” 9/4 💛

Reading these numbers

A typical post picks up 188 interactions against 103K followers, an engagement rate of 0.183%. That is about 5.67% of the follower count, which is the gap between an audience on paper and an audience in a timeline. What is Gabby Barrett's engagement rate on X?
Gabby Barrett (@GabbyBarrett_) has an engagement rate of 0.183%, based on the median interactions across 13 original posts from the last 30 days against 102,503 followers. Replies, reposts and quote-posts of other people are excluded from that sample.
Is that a good engagement rate?
At 0.183%, Gabby Barrett sits above the 50th percentile of the 202,076 accounts in this comparison. Those comparison accounts are all large ones, because our scanning cadence is weighted towards big accounts, so this is a ranking among peers of similar scale rather than a ranking across X.
Does @GabbyBarrett_ have real engagement?
Its engagement rate beats 62% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (20,183 accounts), which puts it in the middle of its size range group. Ranking inside a size band matters because engagement rate falls as accounts grow, so a raw rate would mostly re-measure the follower count. It is a starting point for a look at follower quality, not a verdict on it.
When does @GabbyBarrett_ post?
Most posts go out around 23:00 UTC, and Monday is its busiest day, at roughly 0.43 posts per day across the measured window.
