Soruşturma kapsamında, silahlı terör örgütü kurmak, yönetmek ve üye olmak ile tasarlayarak kasten adam öldürme suçlarını işledikleri değerlendirilen 29 şüpheli tespit edilmiş; Ankara, İstanbul, İzmir, Balıkesir, Adana, Antalya, Çanakkale, Bursa, Isparta ve Afyonkarahisar’da bulunan 30 adrese eş zamanlı operasyon düzenlenmiştir. Bu ülkede, mini etek giyme özgürlüğünü savunduğum gibi, başörtü takma özgürlüğünü de savunan o ifadem, laikliğe aykırı bulunmuştu. Çok şükür partimiz kapatılmadı ama para cezası aldı. Demokrasi, sadece kendimiz gibi düşünenlerin haklarını korumak değildir; farklı hayat tarzlarının da özgürlüğünü güvence altına almaktır. O gün verilen karar, yalnızca bir siyasi partinin kapatılmasını engellemedi; milli iradenin, hukukun, demokrasinin üstünlüğü adına önemli bir dönüm noktası oldu. Aradan 18 yıl geçti.
