A typical post picks up 431 interactions against 57K followers, an engagement rate of 0.769%. Measured over 19 original posts, its engagement rate beats 81% of 20,445 tracked accounts of a similar size. Comparing inside a size band matters here: engagement rate falls as accounts grow, so a raw rate would mostly just re-measure the follower count. Posts are seen about 32K times each, and 1.35% of those impressions turn into an interaction. That is about 56.3% of the follower count, which is the gap between an audience on paper and an audience in a timeline. Posting runs at about 1.9 posts a day over the last 30 days, though only 33% of days saw any activity at all. Most posts go out around 14:00 UTC, and Monday is the busiest day of the week. Of the 19 posts sampled, 89% carry an image or video, 32% are part of a thread and 5% link out. The account's strongest tracked post pulled 6.4K interactions, about 15x its own typical post.

Compared with accounts its own size

Egypt's Intel Observer's engagement rate beats 81% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (20,445 accounts, accounts of similar size (decile 5 of 10)). A percentile is spread evenly by construction, so 50 really is the middle of that group and 90 really is its top tenth.

On engagement per impression rather than per follower it beats 46% of the same group. When those two numbers disagree, the gap is about how far its posts travel rather than how people react to them.

Where this sits in the catalog

At 0.769%, Egypt's Intel Observer sits above the 75th percentile of the 205,152 accounts in this comparison. That places it in the top 25% band, which runs 0.678% to 2.55%.

Engagement rate as a share of followers, across the 205,152 accounts we have scanned enough to measure. The axis is logarithmic, because the top and bottom of this population are about 22,894 times apart and a linear axis would flatten everything below the median into a single point.

They do not show how this account performs at each hour: we keep one aggregate per account, not one per hour, so that measurement does not exist in our data.

Formats this account uses

Its own posting mix on the left, and what each of those formats does across every account we track on the right. Only formats where the effect clears our publish test appear here, so an empty row is a format we could not measure rather than one that does nothing.

  • 5% of its posts carry a link off X. Across the catalog, posts with an outbound link run 41% below the same accounts' other posts.
  • Its average post runs 409 characters, which falls in the over 280 characters band. Across the catalog, posts over 280 characters run 15% above the same accounts' other posts.

These are catalog-wide differences applied to this account's own posting mix, not a measurement of how each format performs for this account specifically. We keep one median per account, not one per format per account, so the second thing is not something this data can tell you.

Looks like Houthis managed to hit one Oil Storage tank at Yanbu over the past few days. This is the southern Saudi Aramco Al Muajjiz Crude Oil Terminal where they load VLCCs. Looks more like Shrapnel hits vs direct hit as foam and water can be seen on the ground. https://t.co/yIGHkC4MWp

🇪🇬🇸🇾🇮🇱 OTD in 1973, Egypt and Syria launched a coordinated surprise offensive against Israeli forces, beginning the October War, also known as the Yom Kippur War. Both countries sought to reclaim territory lost to Israel in 1967, with Egypt fighting to recover the Sinai Peninsula and Syria seeking to retake the Golan Heights. At 2:00 p.m., Egypt launched Operation Badr, achieving rapid tactical gains. More than 200 Egyptian aircraft struck Israeli command centers, airfields, and radar stations across Sinai, followed by a massive, 53-minute bombardment involving nearly 2,000 artillery pieces. Along the Suez Canal, Israeli defenses centered on the Bar Lev Line, which combined a towering sand embankment, reaching 25 meters in places, with fortified military positions. Egyptian combat engineers breached the embankment using high-pressure water pumps, cutting approximately 60 passages through the sand to open routes for troops, tanks, and other vehicles. Within the first two and a half hours, approximately 23,500 Egyptian infantrymen had crossed the canal. By 5:00 p.m., that number had grown to roughly 32,000. Within 24 hours, Egypt had moved more than 100,000 combat troops organized into five divisions, around 1,000 tanks, and over 13,500 military vehicles across the Suez Canal, establishing a substantial foothold on its eastern bank.

OMG 😳 The U.S. State Department just greenlit a massive $4.6 billion sale of NASAMS air defence systems to Egypt, with a package of AIM-120C-8 AMRAAMs, AIM-120ERs, and AIM-9Xs. This is huge, Egypt has been blocked from getting AMRAAMs for over 40 years! https://t.co/z9sTP2J95z https://t.co/zqwKRytsMe

What is Egypt's Intel Observer's engagement rate on X?
Egypt's Intel Observer (@EGYOSINT) has an engagement rate of 0.769%, based on the median interactions across 19 original posts from the last 30 days against 56,946 followers. Replies, reposts and quote-posts of other people are excluded from that sample.
Is that a good engagement rate?
At 0.769%, Egypt's Intel Observer sits above the 75th percentile of the 205,152 accounts in this comparison. Those comparison accounts are all large ones, because our scanning cadence is weighted towards big accounts, so this is a ranking among peers of similar scale rather than a ranking across X.
Does @EGYOSINT have real engagement?
Its engagement rate beats 81% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (20,445 accounts), which puts it in the top quarter for its size group. Ranking inside a size band matters because engagement rate falls as accounts grow, so a raw rate would mostly re-measure the follower count. It is a starting point for a look at follower quality, not a verdict on it.
When does @EGYOSINT post?
Most posts go out around 14:00 UTC, and Monday is its busiest day, at roughly 1.87 posts per day across the measured window.
