A typical post picks up 45 interactions against 695K followers, an engagement rate of 0.006%. Measured over 40 original posts, its engagement rate beats 28% of 3,829 tracked accounts of a similar size, which puts it in the middle of its size range rather than at either end. Posts are seen about 15K times each, and 0.295% of those impressions turn into an interaction. That is about 2.19% of the follower count, which is the gap between an audience on paper and an audience in a timeline. Posting runs at about 1.6 posts a day over the last 30 days, with activity on roughly 67% of days. Most posts go out around 12:00 UTC, and Monday is the busiest day of the week. Of the 40 posts sampled, 93% carry an image or video, 10% are part of a thread and 5% link out. The account's strongest tracked post pulled 307 interactions, about 6.8x its own typical post. Recurring topics include #eacc, #governance, #integrity.

Compared with accounts its own size

EACC's engagement rate beats 28% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (3,829 accounts, accounts of similar size (decile 8 of 10)). A percentile is spread evenly by construction, so 50 really is the middle of that group and 90 really is its top tenth.

On engagement per impression rather than per follower it beats 23% of the same group. When those two numbers disagree, the gap is about how far its posts travel rather than how people react to them.

Where this sits in the catalog

At 0.006%, EACC sits above the 10th percentile of the 37,214 accounts in this comparison. That places it in the bottom 25% band, which runs below 0.012%.

The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) arrested the suspect on 4 August 2026 and booked her at the Integrity Centre Police Station before releasing her on a police cash bail of Kes100,000 pending arraignment. Investigations established that in July 2013, the Office of the Auditor General advertised the position of Assistant Manager โ€“ Audit, requiring applicants to possess, among other qualifications, at least eight years' experience in audit, a Bachelor's degree from a recognized university, a Master of Business Administration or a related field, and professional accounting qualifications. The Commission established that Ms. Mwaura submitted a forged Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting Option), Second Class Honours (Upper Division) degree certificate purportedly awarded by Mount Kenya University on 20 August 2010 in support of her application which later earned her promotion as a Deputy Director-Audit. As a result, she unlawfully received Kes28,468,754.14 in salaries from 3rd February, 2013 to 23rd May, 2024. Further investigations revealed that at the time she presented the degree certificate during the recruitment process, she was still a student at Mount Kenya University pursuing the Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting Option) programme and had not graduated. Upon conclusion of investigations, the Commission forwarded the investigation file to the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP), who approved charges of Forgery, Uttering a False Document, Deceiving a Principal and Fraudulent Acquisition of Public Property against the suspect. The suspect was today arraigned before the Milimani Anti-Corruption Court, where she pleaded not guilty to all the charges. She was released on a cash bail of Kes450,000 or a bond of Kes1 million and a surety of a similar amount. The Commission will institute civil proceedings to recover salaries and benefits unlawfully obtained through fraudulent academic qualifications. The Commission urges all Ministries, Departments, Agencies, and County Governments to strengthen verification of academic and professional certificates during recruitment and promotion processes to prevent the appointment of unqualified persons. EACC further cautions members of the public against the vice and that related offences will be investigated and prosecuted in accordance with the law.

The suspects, Hon. Martin Kinyua Mutegi, a Senior Principal Magistrate at Kangema Law Courts, and Julius Irungu Njogu, Principal Probation Officer, were arrested on 21st July 2026 at a restaurant within Kangema Township following an operation mounted by the Commission. The arrest followed a complaint lodged by a businessman from Murang'a County, who reported that he had been convicted on July 2, 2026, in a criminal case for obtaining money by false pretenses and was scheduled to be sentenced on July 22, 2026. Preliminary investigations established that the probation officer approached the complainant, claiming to act on behalf of the magistrate, and demanded Kes170,000, assuring him that the money would secure a non-custodial sentence through a favourable probation recommendation rather than a custodial sentence. EACC mounted an operation that culminated in the arrest of the two suspects while receiving Kes150,000 from the complainant. They are currently in custody at the Nyeri Central Police Station and will be processed this morning at the EACC Central Regional Office. EACC reiterates its commitment to tackling bribery at service delivery points and enhancing the quality of public services for all citizens.

EACC today mounted an operation that led to the arrest of the suspect after receiving the Kes180,000. He is currently being held at the Commissionโ€™s Western Regional Office in Bungoma for processing and is expected to be booked at Bungoma Police Station as investigations continue. The arrest is part of the Commissionโ€™s sustained crackdown on bribery and other forms of corruption, aimed at safeguarding integrity and accountability in the delivery of public services and administration of justice. What is EACC's engagement rate on X?
EACC (@EACCKenya) has an engagement rate of 0.006%, based on the median interactions across 40 original posts from the last 30 days against 695,136 followers. Replies, reposts and quote-posts of other people are excluded from that sample.
Is that a good engagement rate?
At 0.006%, EACC sits above the 10th percentile of the 37,214 accounts in this comparison. Those comparison accounts are all large ones, because our scanning cadence is weighted towards big accounts, so this is a ranking among peers of similar scale rather than a ranking across X.
Does @EACCKenya have real engagement?
Its engagement rate beats 28% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (3,829 accounts), which puts it in the middle of its size range group. Ranking inside a size band matters because engagement rate falls as accounts grow, so a raw rate would mostly re-measure the follower count. It is a starting point for a look at follower quality, not a verdict on it.
When does @EACCKenya post?
Most posts go out around 12:00 UTC, and Monday is its busiest day, at roughly 1.6 posts per day across the measured window.
