*أ. د. فهد الخضيري:* من المواقف العالقة بالذاكرة(قبل سنوات)…الدكتور سلطان باهبري يرحمه الله يتابع في عيادته المرضى، وافتقد مريضا شابا من بلدة تقع بين مكة والمدينة المنورة بعيدة عن الرياض(حيث المستشفى المرجعي)، والمريض قطع مراحل ناجحة في العلاج، وبقي مرحلتان فقط ضمن الخطة، فاتصل بوالد الشاب بالرقم الموجود في الملف والسجلات، وكان رد الأب: "أنا أعمل بسيارة نقل ركاب،( كداد) وهذا الموسم الذهبي لي، وعندي ٧ أطفال غير هذا الشاب، وإذا جئتكم بالرياض ضاعت ٣ أيام، وما أبي اقطع رزقي ورزقهم علشان ولد واحد مريض!" (الأب يعمل في موسم الحج-كداد؟). فقال له الدكتور سلطان باهبري: "اسمع.. سوف أشحن لك الدواء؛ ليأخذه المريض في الوقت المناسب لإكمال الخطة العلاجية، ومعه مصروف جيب لك وللمريض، اختر أقرب مستشفى لك، وانا أرتب لكم إرسال الدواء، بالبريد الجوي فأختر اقرب مستشفى لك، واذا وصلهم الدواء سيتصلون بك لإحضار المريض، ومع العلاج مصروف جيب لك وله". وتردد الأب فقال له سلطان:" إذا لم توافق فسوف أطلب من الجهات المختصة تتابع معك، وقد يجبرونك بقوة النظام للحفاظ على صحة ابنك واستكمال العلاج!". فأختار والد المريض مستشفى محدد (أعتقد أنه مستشفى محافظة بدر؟ قرب المدينة المنورة ) وأرسل لهم الدكتور سلطان باهبري بقية العلاج، ومعه مصروف جيب للأب لكي يحرص على عدم تفويت الموعد ، وبعد شهر قابلت الدكتور سلطان باهبري يرحمه الله وسألته فأخبرني بأن فكرته نجحت وإستكمل المريض خطة العلاج.
