رسالة إلى الشعب الكويتي بخصوص سحب جنسية الأستاذ الدكتور حاكم المطيري رئيس حزب الأمة إن ما تعيشه الكويت من أزمات سياسية عميقة منذ عقود ليؤكد ما سبق أن دعا إليه حزب الأمة منذ تأسيسه سنة ٢٠٠٥ من ضرورة اختيار حكومة منتخبة ليصبح الشعب هو مصدر السلطات جميعا فعلا، وقد بات هذا الحل حتميا في ظل عجز الحكومة عن تحقيق الإصلاح ومواجهة الفساد وفشلها في حماية الحقوق والحريات العامة للمواطنين وفي ظل الأخطار الخارجية والتي لا يمكن مواجهة ذلك كله إلا بحكومة منتخبة من الشعب تحمي الجبهة الداخلية ووحدة الصف وتصون الحقوق والحريات العامة وهو ما فرطت فيه الحكومة بقراراتها السلطوية واستغلالها لملف الجنسية وحق المواطنة في مواجهة دعاة الإصلاح السياسي من أبناء الشعب الكويتي كما جرى اليوم بسحب الحكومة بقرار سياسي غير دستوري لجنسية الأستاذ الدكتور حاكم المطيري رئيس الحزب ما يؤكد بأن ما يتعرض له الدكتور منذ بدأ نشاطه السياسي عام ٢٠٠٠ إلى اليوم من محاكمات سياسية جائرة افتقدت لأدنى شروط العدالة وانتهاء بقرار سحب الجنسية دون وجه حق وهو ما تعرض له الكثير من أبناء الكويت لا لشيء إلا لمواقفهم السياسية كما هو معلوم للجميع. إن حزب الأمة وهو يرفض هذا الإجراء الجائر وغير الدستوري لطالما دعا إلى إخضاع قانون الجنسية للقضاء لمنع استغلال السلطة لهذا الملف سياسيا وحذر من خطورة جعل منح الجنسية وسحبها من اختصاص وزارة الداخلية مما حول الجنسية من شهادة مواطنة وانتماء إلى أداة مساومة وقمع لكل من يعارض السلطة وسياستها. إن حزب الأمة اليوم ليدعو الشعب الكويتي وكافة قواه السياسية والمجتمعية إلى تحمل مسئولياتهم لوقف هذا الاستغلال الظالم من السلطة لملف الجنسية والتهديد بسحبها لكل من يعارض سياستها وهو ما يهدد وحدة المجتمع ومستقبل الكويت. ﴿وَمَا كَانَ رَبُّكَ لِيُهْلِكَ الْقُرَىٰ بِظُلْمٍ وَأَهْلُهَا مُصْلِحُونَ﴾ حزب الأمة - الكويت الاثنين ٢٣ شعبان ١٤٤٥هـ الموافق ٤ / ٣ / ٢٠٢٤م
