Christopher Landau engagement report
@DeputySecState - 335K followers on X
Measured over 6 original posts from a 30-day window, last computed on September 3, 2026.
Engagement
Early reading. We have captured 6 original posts for this account, below the 8 we require before treating a median as settled. The numbers above describe what we have seen so far, not a finished profile of the account.
A typical post picks up 948 interactions against 335K followers, an engagement rate of 0.283%. Posts are seen about 63K times each, and 1.51% of those impressions turn into an interaction. That is about 18.7% of the follower count, which is the gap between an audience on paper and an audience in a timeline. Posting runs at about 0.33 posts a day over the last 30 days, though only 23% of days saw any activity at all. Most posts go out around 22:00 UTC, and Wednesday is the busiest day of the week. Of the 6 posts sampled, 100% carry an image or video and 17% are part of a thread. The account's strongest tracked post pulled 138K interactions, about 145x its own typical post. Only 6 original posts have been captured so far, fewer than the 8 posts we want behind a median before treating it as settled. Read the figures above as an early measurement of this account, not as a finished profile of it.

Posting timing
This account posts most often around 22:00 UTC, and Wednesday is its busiest day of the week. The bars below are the catalog-wide pattern, with this account's own busiest slot marked. They do not show how this account performs at each hour: we keep one aggregate per account, not one per hour, so that measurement does not exist in our data.

Formats this account uses
Its own posting mix on the left, and what each of those formats does across every account we track on the right. Only formats where the effect clears our publish test appear here, so an empty row is a format we could not measure rather than one that does nothing.
| Format | This account | Catalog effect | 95% interval | Accounts behind it |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Image or video | 100% of posts | +111% | +108% to +115% | 34K |
| Outbound link | 0% of posts | -41% | -42% to -40% | 32K |
| Typical length | - | +15% | +14% to +16% | 32K |
- 100% of this account's sampled posts carry an image or video. Across the catalog, posts with an image or video run 111% above the same accounts' other posts.
- 0% of its posts carry a link off X. Across the catalog, posts with an outbound link run 41% below the same accounts' other posts.
- Its average post runs 743 characters, which falls in the over 280 characters band. Across the catalog, posts over 280 characters run 15% above the same accounts' other posts.
These are catalog-wide differences applied to this account's own posting mix, not a measurement of how each format performs for this account specifically. We keep one median per account, not one per format per account, so the second thing is not something this data can tell you.

Primeiro Comando da Capital and Comando Vermelho are two of the most violent criminal organizations in Brazil. Their reach extends throughout our region and into our country. Today, I designated these organizations as Foreign Terrorist Organizations and Specially Designated Global Terrorists. The Trump Administration will continue using every available tool to protect our national security interests and deny funding and resources to narco-terrorists. https://t.co/x3cPYjelwZ

.@SecRubio testified before Congress this week that the US is committed to protecting Colombia’s democracy. He has also explained on many occasions that a US visa is a privilege, not a right, and that visa denials and revocations are powerful tools for advancing our foreign policy. To safeguard the integrity of Colombia’s upcoming elections, we are closely monitoring the situation along the Caribbean coast and elsewhere. Those tempted to undermine or manipulate the democratic process—whether by BUYING VOTES or otherwise—are therefore on notice that they are putting their visas, and those of their families, at risk. ¡Por algo me llaman El Quitavisas! 🇺🇸🤝🇨🇴

A new dawn for Colombia! Congratulations to @ABDELAESPRIELLA on a historic victory, and to the people of Colombia for opting for a brighter future. We look forward to working closely with the new government on issues of mutual concern, including security, migration, and commerce. 🇺🇸🤝🇨🇴

The US and other democratic nations of the Western Hemisphere are not going to allow narco-funded mobs to threaten the legitimate government of Bolivia. 🇺🇸🇵🇾🇩🇴🇧🇴🇦🇷🇨🇱🇪🇨🇭🇳🇸🇻🇬🇾🇹🇹🇵🇦🇨🇷 https://t.co/fFcnJr3Puq

Congratulations to the people of Colombia and their new President @ABDELAESPRIELLA! I was struck by his decision to be sworn in not in the capital of Bogotá, but in Cali (where, by coincidence, my own parents lived from 1954-57) as a sign of his commitment to decentralize the country and focus on regional development. The US looks forward to working closely with the new Colombian government for the benefit of both our peoples. ¡Viva Colombia! ¡Viva USA! 🇺🇸🤝🇨🇴

Let there be no mistake: those who lost overwhelmingly at the ballot box in Bolivia last year are trying to overthrow President @Rodrigo_PazP by organizing RIOTS and BLOCKADES with the support of organized crime and drug traffickers. I spoke with my friend President Paz this afternoon, and assured him that the United States stands squarely in support of Bolivia's legitimate constitutional government and rejects this attempt to substitute the institutional order with mob rule.

Many Americans (including me) were delighted to follow @FreddyLA7 and his traveling companions from Germany as they discovered our country’s back roads, small towns, and diners during their visit for the World Cup. There’s so much more to America than its big cities, and it’s a joy to see our country through a foreigner’s sympathetic eyes. Thanks to Nick Adams, the President’s @SpecEnvTourism, I had the privilege of welcoming Freddy and his companions to the @StateDept to express my own appreciation. And yes their heads actually do look like that!

The Ortega-Murillo dictatorship in Nicaragua is responsible for the death of Brooklyn Rivera, leader of the indigenous-aligned YATAMA political party. He died this weekend as the regime's prisoner after 3 years of inhumane treatment, unjust detention, and enforced disappearance. The US stands with those, like Brooklyn, committed to a free Nicaragua. RIP/QEPD Ta Upla Rivera. 🇺🇸🙏🇳🇮

When people tell you who they are, believe them! Nicaraguan dictator Daniel Ortega has just publicly declared that there will never again be elections in Nicaragua—“¡Aquí no volverán a haber elecciones!” In his view, elections threaten to trap the government—“atrapar al gobierno.” But of course abolishing elections allows the government to trap its people (as Cuba has proven for the past 67 years). The US stands by the Nicaraguan people and their democratic aspirations. 🇺🇸🤝🇳🇮 https://t.co/k0OW8lz5T1

Proud to represent @POTUS @realDonaldTrump and @SecRubio at the inauguration of @KeikoFujimori as Peru’s next President. Our delegation, which includes our distinguished @USAmbPeru Bernie Navarro and representatives of the State, Treasury, and Commerce Departments, had an excellent meeting with the President-elect this morning in Lima. We’re excited about deepening the cooperation between our countries in many areas, including security and trade, and I was delighted to present the President-elect with a photo of our fathers meeting back in the early 1990s. 🇺🇸🤝🇵🇪
