@CrimeWatchZW - 105K followers on X
Measured over 69 original posts from a 30-day window, last computed on October 9, 2026.
Engagement
A typical post picks up 136 interactions against 105K followers, an engagement rate of 0.131%. Measured over 69 original posts, its engagement rate beats 56% of 20,444 tracked accounts of a similar size, which puts it in the middle of its size range rather than at either end. Posts are seen about 25K times each, and 0.536% of those impressions turn into an interaction. That is about 24.1% of the follower count, which is the gap between an audience on paper and an audience in a timeline. Posting runs at about 2.8 posts a day over the last 30 days, with activity on roughly 50% of days. Most posts go out around 18:00 UTC, and Friday is the busiest day of the week. Of the 69 posts sampled, 100% carry an image or video. The account's strongest tracked post pulled 7.3K interactions, about 54x its own typical post.

Compared with accounts its own size
ππ«π’π¦π πππππ‘ ππ's engagement rate beats 56% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (20,444 accounts, accounts of similar size (decile 7 of 10)). A percentile is spread evenly by construction, so 50 really is the middle of that group and 90 really is its top tenth.
On engagement per impression rather than per follower it beats 25% of the same group. When those two numbers disagree, the gap is about how far its posts travel rather than how people react to them.
Where this sits in the catalog
At 0.131%, ππ«π’π¦π πππππ‘ ππ sits above the 25th percentile of the 205,374 accounts in this comparison. That places it in the below the median band, which runs 0.024% to 0.143%.

Formats this account uses
Its own posting mix on the left, and what each of those formats does across every account we track on the right. Only formats where the effect clears our publish test appear here, so an empty row is a format we could not measure rather than one that does nothing.
| Format | This account | Catalog effect | 95% interval | Accounts behind it |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Image or video | 100% of posts | +111% | +108% to +115% | 34K |
| Outbound link | 0% of posts | -41% | -42% to -40% | 32K |
| Typical length | - | +15% | +14% to +16% | 32K |
- 100% of this account's sampled posts carry an image or video. Across the catalog, posts with an image or video run 111% above the same accounts' other posts.
- 0% of its posts carry a link off X. Across the catalog, posts with an outbound link run 41% below the same accounts' other posts.
- Its average post runs 714 characters, which falls in the over 280 characters band. Across the catalog, posts over 280 characters run 15% above the same accounts' other posts.
These are catalog-wide differences applied to this account's own posting mix, not a measurement of how each format performs for this account specifically. We keep one median per account, not one per format per account, so the second thing is not something this data can tell you.

MSU student in court over US$1,1m cyber theft A 24-year-old Midlands State University final-year Computer Science student, Sabelo Malunga, has appeared in court accused of stealing more than US$1.1 million from CABS using malware. The State alleges that Malunga gained access to CABSβ computer systems while working as an IT intern between November last year and February 23 this year. Prosecutors allege that on January 23, while using a CABS-issued laptop, Malunga downloaded SUPREMO, a remote-access application, without authorisation. He allegedly hid the application within system files to avoid detection. He continued accessing CABS systems even after his internship ended. The malware allegedly allowed him to bypass the bankβs internal controls and create fraudulent ZIPIT and VISA transactions. The cyberattack was discovered after VISA flagged two suspicious international ATM transactions on March 27. CABS blocked the affected accounts but had already lost US$210,500. During a further investigation on April 13, CABSβ IT team found multiple malware infections on its servers. Investigators discovered 1,911 fraudulent ZIPIT transactions worth US$925,679, with funds allegedly sent to EcoCash, InnBucks, CBZ and Ecobank. CABS later engaged a South African digital forensics company, MWR, to investigate and remove the malware. The forensic investigation allegedly linked Malunga to the cyberattack. The State further alleges that the malware was used to create fraudulent transactions, bypass authorisation systems, make fictitious transfers and generate fake telegraphic transfers. CABS is alleged to have suffered an actual loss of US$1,136,179, with nothing recovered so far. Malunga is facing a hacking charge and was remanded in custody pending his bail application. The allegations are yet to be tested in court. ~Herald Zimbabwe

Sensei Tendai, also known as Tendai Maduwa, released a statement yesterday clarifying the incident in which he was captured on video confronting two TTI parking marshals in Bulawayo CBD. In his statement, he explained what happened and said the matter was eventually resolved amicably. Here is the full statement: Greetings fam, just to clarify the case thatβs trending on social media between myself and TTI officers. I was along five street at NRZ building in Bulawayo town. I had my car in drive, with my blinkers on indicating that I wanted to get into the parking lot, there was a car backing up in reverse at the spot I wanted to occupy. Immediately as I was about to drive, my window was knocked, I scrolled down, βPlease donβt drive we have clamped your carβ one officer said. Put my car in parking. Got out, asked them why they clamped a moving vehicle, arrogantly he said I was obstructing traffic. βHowβ I asked. βMudhara we donβt careβ he responded. I asked him to take it off and he said he wanted money. Honestly why would you guys behave like animals? A car in motion, a driver not parked but getting into the parking lot, what if I had backed up in reverse and hit the guy without me knowing he was there? Or what if I hit vehicles parked in the parking lot or people walking around? What kind of behavior is that? Their 3 supervisors, apologized and said they will deal with their staff for behaving inappropriately. I had a length talk with them to stop abusing the public and atleast provide basic training to their staff before releasing them. I am offering free sessions to help them do better in future and better still provide proper training. If they had not handled the case satisfactorily, I could have sued the TTI company. But all was handled amicably. #Villager

Shocking pictures have shown the terrible conditions that some members of the Zimbabwe national rugby team, the Sables, are living in while in camp as they prepare for the 2027 Rugby World Cup. The players reportedly refer to the house as the βghost house.β Zimbabwean community leader and migrant advocate Shelton Chiyangwa, who is based in Port Elizabeth, South Africa, shared the pictures after visiting the players. He said he personally took the photos and was very disappointed by what he saw. Chiyangwa said he had hosted the same team in Port Elizabeth a few weeks ago when they played against the Springboks, losing 40β0. He said he provided the players with energy drinks and other goodies and also arranged a massage session for the entire team. βI took these pictures myself, and I am heartbroken as a patriotic Zimbabwean. I am angry and upset. Until the welfare of these players is addressed, I will use all my platforms to speak about this,β he said. Chiyangwa also raised concerns about a reported US$15,000 bonus promised to each player for qualifying for the 2027 World Cup. He said the players have not received the money and called on Nedbank Zimbabwe to explain what happened. @NedbankZimbabwe @ZimRugbyZW @MinSport_ArtsZw

- What is ππ«π’π¦π πππππ‘ ππ's engagement rate on X?
- ππ«π’π¦π πππππ‘ ππ (@CrimeWatchZW) has an engagement rate of 0.131%, based on the median interactions across 69 original posts from the last 30 days against 105,321 followers. Replies, reposts and quote-posts of other people are excluded from that sample.
- Is that a good engagement rate?
- At 0.131%, ππ«π’π¦π πππππ‘ ππ sits above the 25th percentile of the 205,374 accounts in this comparison. Those comparison accounts are all large ones, because our scanning cadence is weighted towards big accounts, so this is a ranking among peers of similar scale rather than a ranking across X.
- Does @CrimeWatchZW have real engagement?
- Its engagement rate beats 56% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (20,444 accounts), which puts it in the middle of its size range group. Ranking inside a size band matters because engagement rate falls as accounts grow, so a raw rate would mostly re-measure the follower count. It is a starting point for a look at follower quality, not a verdict on it.
- When does @CrimeWatchZW post?
- Most posts go out around 18:00 UTC, and Friday is its busiest day, at roughly 2.83 posts per day across the measured window.
