Bill Melugin engagement report
@BillMelugin_ - 650K followers on X
Measured over 10 original posts from a 30-day window, last computed on October 5, 2026.
Engagement
A typical post picks up 4.3K interactions against 650K followers, an engagement rate of 0.656%. Measured over 10 original posts, its engagement rate beats 94% of 19,932 tracked accounts of a similar size. Comparing inside a size band matters here: engagement rate falls as accounts grow, so a raw rate would mostly just re-measure the follower count. Posts are seen about 54K times each, and 7.93% of those impressions turn into an interaction. That is about 8.25% of the follower count, which is the gap between an audience on paper and an audience in a timeline. Posting runs at about 2.3 posts a day over the last 30 days, with activity on roughly 47% of days. Most posts go out around 14:00 UTC, and Friday is the busiest day of the week. Of the 10 posts sampled, 70% carry an image or video, 10% are part of a thread and 20% link out. The account's strongest tracked post pulled 37K interactions, about 8.8x its own typical post. Recurring topics include #exclusive, #txsen.

Compared with accounts its own size
Bill Melugin's engagement rate beats 94% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (19,932 accounts, accounts of similar size (decile 10 of 10)). A percentile is spread evenly by construction, so 50 really is the middle of that group and 90 really is its top tenth.
On engagement per impression rather than per follower it beats 96% of the same group. When those two numbers disagree, the gap is about how far its posts travel rather than how people react to them.
Where this sits in the catalog
At 0.656%, Bill Melugin sits above the 50th percentile of the 201,342 accounts in this comparison. That places it in the above the median band, which runs 0.141% to 0.671%.

Formats this account uses
Its own posting mix on the left, and what each of those formats does across every account we track on the right. Only formats where the effect clears our publish test appear here, so an empty row is a format we could not measure rather than one that does nothing.
| Format | This account | Catalog effect | 95% interval | Accounts behind it |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Image or video | 70% of posts | +111% | +108% to +115% | 34K |
| Outbound link | 20% of posts | -41% | -42% to -40% | 32K |
| Typical length | - | +15% | +14% to +16% | 32K |
- 70% of this account's sampled posts carry an image or video. Across the catalog, posts with an image or video run 111% above the same accounts' other posts.
- 20% of its posts carry a link off X. Across the catalog, posts with an outbound link run 41% below the same accounts' other posts.
- Its average post runs 852 characters, which falls in the over 280 characters band. Across the catalog, posts over 280 characters run 15% above the same accounts' other posts.
These are catalog-wide differences applied to this account's own posting mix, not a measurement of how each format performs for this account specifically. We keep one median per account, not one per format per account, so the second thing is not something this data can tell you.

BREAKING: The Venezuelan illegal alien DoorDash driver who was shot by ICE in Austin, TX last week after a pursuit has just been charged by DOJ w/ assault on a federal officer after Feds say they have ICE bodycam showing Wilber Rafael Garces Perez clipping an officer with his vehicle when he fled the scene of the initial encounter. According to the federal complaint: - Encounter began when ICE agents saw Perez’s vehicle sitting in front of a restaurant with its hazard lights on. They ran the vehicle plates and learned he had a deportation order. - They initiated a traffic stop when he left the restaurant. Two ICE vehicles boxed him in. The encounter was cordial, Perez gave his ID, then asked if he could move his car before being arrested. ICE said no, and told him to get out of the vehicle. He then rolled the window up and drove off, hitting an officer with his side mirror in the process. - This began a roughly 8 minute pursuit in which ICE chased him using lights and sirens. The original ICE agent with the bodycam lost track and pulled off. - His partner, the other ICE agent, then called him and told him Garces Perez had just tried to ram him, so he shot him. He had no bodycam during the shooting. - Garcés Perez agreed to be interviewed without an attorney after the shooting. He admitted to disregarding ICE's command to get out of the vehicle, and driving away instead. DOJ says Garces-Perez made his first appearance in federal court today. I convicted, he will face up to 20 years in federal prison.

NEW: OC DA @toddspitzeroc just threw the book at the woman arrested for purposely fatally crushing a puppy with her vehicle in Santa Ana, CA. 75-year-old Hahn Nguyen has now been charged w/ felony animal cruelty and felony animal abuse w/ a felony enhancement for personal use of a weapon. DA Spitzer is charging these "wobbler" offenses as felonies instead of misdemeanors and the felony enhancement will add potential prison time. OC DA statement to @FoxNews: “This act of violence not only ended the life of an innocent puppy, but it also inflicted trauma on every single person who came across the video footage of the murder of an animal,” said Orange County District Attorney Todd Spitzer. “Violence is not a singular act. It inflicts pain and suffering on those who are subjected to it and on those who witness it. As the elected District Attorney of Orange County, I refuse to accept a society in which violence of any kind is acceptable. Let me be clear that those who engage in violence in Orange County, whether it is against human beings or animals, will be prosecuted to the fullest extent.”

NEW: The DHS Inspector General just dropped a new, heavily redacted report that found a 40% failure rate in the vetting of asylum claims for Afghan nationals brought to the US by the Biden administration in 2021 after the Afghanistan withdrawal, including two cases that involved potential inadmissibility due to terrorism related concerns, but were missed because of missed aliases and incomplete documentation. As part of a random audit, the DHS IG analyzed 678 out of 13,682 asylum cases adjudicated by the Biden administration USCIS (US Citizenship and Immigration Services) as part of Operation Allies Welcome, and found the following: - 303 missed aliases - 23 missing security checks (failure to run names vs FBI/national security databases). - 45 unresolved records (failure to resolve potential matches to derogatory information). - 115 other documentation issues A reminder, one of the Afghans brought into the U.S. via Operation Allies Welcome has been charged in the shooting of two National Guard soldiers in DC last year, which left one of them dead. NEW: Two Mexican nationals have been extradited to the US to face federal charges for allegedly running a network that smuggled unaccompanied migrant children into the US across the southern border during the Biden administration, and using THC laced gummies to drug the children so they couldn't answer questions from US border agents about who their guardians were. The children were between the ages of 5 and 13 and one had to be hospitalized for marijuana poisoning. Per DOJ, Susana Guadian and Daniel Guadian, both from Juarez, MX, have been charged with conspiracy to transport aliens and bringing aliens illegally to the United States for financial gain. Per the indictment, they ran the child smuggling network from May-October of 2024, recruiting drivers to transport the children via vehicle to US ports of entry from Mexico, who would then present false documents to pretend they were the parents of the children. Once the children were in the US, they were transported to El Paso, TX, where others would pick up the children and pay the drivers $900 for each child they smuggled across the border. Photo below is of some of the THC laced gummies that Feds say they recovered as part of the investigation.
