Today, I celebrate Mallam and Aunty @AsiaAhmad El-Rufai as they mark 27 years of marriage. Aunty Asia is the glue of our family. She is my mother and I am proud to call myself her son. I still remember her taking me back to Zaria Academy when I was in JSS1. She is an avid reader, a brilliant lawyer, and a woman whose compassion has always extended beyond her immediate family. During Mallam’s time as Governor of Kaduna State, she devoted herself to supporting and working with some of the most vulnerable people in our society, particularly widows and orphans. As her children, we are very proud of her and we pray for her everyday. She has always protected and guided me and went out of her way to campaign for my candidature. Every good thing we continue to do for Kaduna North is due to the teachings and knowledge she has imparted in me since I was 11 years old. Every bad thing is my fault. Over the years, I have also witnessed her strength and unwavering support for Mallam through the different seasons of his life. And especially now, as he continues to endure his illegal detention, her steadfastness, strength and presence have been a source of comfort and support. Twenty-seven years is a significant milestone, and today is a moment to appreciate the journey, the memories and the many lives touched along the way. Happy 27th wedding anniversary, Baba El-Rufai my mother, Aunty Asia. May Allah continue to bless your marriage, grant you both good health and peace, and give you many more years of grace, happiness and beautiful memories together. Press Release: Fake letter written in horrible English and a more horrendous hand writing. ‘The former Director General of the Bureau of Public Enterprises (BPE), former Minister of the Federal Territory (FCT), Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, CON wishes to alert the public that a fake letter is in circulation, purported to have been signed by him, titled Urgent Message. The spurious letter, purportedly dated 14 July 2026 and addressed to the National Chairman and National Secretary of the ADC, should be disregarded as the shabby fake that it is. Neither the poor content nor the handwriting have anything to do with Malam Nasir El-Rufai. The fake letter shows another resort to desperation by Malam’s traducers who seek to sow confusion and division. Their attempt at politics by fakery should be dismissed and condemned. In the name of Allah SWT, the most Beneficent, the most Merciful. Under the counsel of my Senior Advisers, particularly through Yusuf Gambo. I approved the payment of school fees under the first batch of our School Fees Intervention Programme for Married Women Students in selected Islamic schools across Gabasawa, Unguwan Dosa, Gaji, and Unguwan Shanu/Abakpa Wards. I firmly believe that the pursuit of knowledge should never be limited by financial constraints or personal circumstances. I am also a strong believer in the African proverb that says, "If you educate a woman, you educate a nation." It is in that spirit that this intervention is designed to support married women in continuing their Islamic education by easing the burden of school fees and encouraging lifelong learning. My commitment to Islamic education did not begin with my election to the House of Representatives. For many years, we have supported the construction and rehabilitation of Islamic schools, paid school fees for orphans and less privileged students, and distributed exercise books to selected Islamic schools across Kaduna North. Education remains one of the most meaningful investments we can make in our people. Through initiatives like this, we will continue to expand access to learning, empower women, and strengthen Islamic education across Kaduna North Federal Constituency. Update II: I am pleased to announce that the ongoing block of classrooms in Government Secondary School has been completed. It is located in Kabala Ward. The classrooms were done in the name of Alhaji Lawal Musa, fondly remembered as Baba Lawal Protocol. Alhaji Lawal Musa Protocal was an elder statesman and a seasoned civil servant whose achievements (having served the administration of three Governors of Kaduna State) will echo in the history of our dear state. Local gardeners and flower sellers across Kaduna North are currently planting trees and adding some greenery to the school. Once it is a done, the ad hoc committee alongside elders and traditional leaders will flag it off. They deserve all the credit so they should the do the flag off. Update VIII: Hayin Banki Ward. In the name of Allah, the most Beneficent, the most Merciful. We have continued the ongoing Primary Healthcare Support Initiative with the delivery of 2,000 syringes and other essential medical supplies to the Primary Health Care Centre in Hayin Banki Ward. The supplies will be made available at no cost to residents of the ward, regardless of ethnicity, religion or political affiliation. The value of an intervention is not always measured by its size. For a primary healthcare centre, having essential consumables readily available can mean fewer delays, better support for healthcare workers and one less cost for thousands of families seeking care. This latest intervention builds on the support already provided to PHCs in several wards across Kaduna North. Our objective remains consistent: practical support that reaches thousands of lives where they need it most. Today, we join Muslims across Nigeria and around the world in commemorating Eid Maulud and reflecting on the life, character and teachings of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW). The Prophet’s life reminds us that faith must be reflected in how we treat others, with compassion, humility, patience, justice and genuine concern for the vulnerable. In the name of Allah SWT, after consulting my team, we have decided to name the block of classrooms we constructed in Rafin Guza, the first we did a year and some months ago, after our late brother, the former Councillor of Kawo Ward, Hon. Aminu Ayuba, fondly called MC. About a year ago, we completed multiple classrooms in other wards. We will continue to invest in education across Kaduna North until the last day. On behalf of the people of Kaduna North that I proudly represent, the newly completed block at Rafin Guza, has now been named after the late Hon. Aminu Ayuba MC, former Councillor of Kawo Ward, who passed away just two days ago. Aminu MC was a brother and friend to many across party lines, a good man who contributed immensely to Kawo. After consulting with our advisers, we felt it was fitting to honour his memory in this way. He is the youngest person we have named an initiative after. We have also rebuilt the school fence, because every child, regardless of their background, deserves access to a safe place to learn. This joins our other recently named projects: L.E.A Kabala Primary School, named after the late Alhaji Musa Lawal (Baba Lawal Protocol); Government Secondary School, Unguwan Rimi, named after our late father, Baba Mouftahu Baba Ahmed; and the ICT Centre at Government Girls Secondary School, Kigo Road, named after my former Principal, the late Mrs. Dolores Lami Mohammed (MFR). In the coming days, together with traditional leaders, elders and the management of the schools, we will launch these projects. May the souls of those we have honoured continue to rest in peace. Yesterday, I had the pleasure of attending an event organised by Rise Up Nigeria, a credible organisation and pressure group affiliated with our great party, the African Democratic Congress (ADC). I attended in representation of the ADC Caucus in the House of Representatives on the directive of our Deputy Minority Leader, Hon. Abdussamad Dasuki. It was an honour to join our presidential candidate, His Excellency Atiku Abubakar (@Atiku), GCON, alongside senior party leaders and my father, Mallam Kashim Imam, at what was an inspiring gathering of committed Nigerians united by a shared vision for our country's future. I was also pleased to meet our Lagos State governorship candidate, Mr. Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, and used the opportunity to once again convey my heartfelt condolences on the passing of his beloved mother, Mrs. Nkechi Stella Rhodes-Vivour. I pray that Almighty God grants her eternal rest and continues to comfort the entire family. I commend the leadership of Rise Up Nigeria for their impressive work in registration, sensitisation, mobilisation and grassroots engagement. I also recognise the commitment of Mallam Salihu Tanko Yakassai, @Dawisu, my brother @Jack_ng01, Hon. Aliyu Audu @OfficialAceman, whom I first met through Barrister Ismail Ahmed in 2014, my sister, the courageous Zainab Buba Galadima, my brother Hon. Mukhtar Baloni, the 36 state coordinators, and the many volunteers driving this movement. The address by His Excellency Atiku Abubakar was one of the most compelling political speeches I have heard in recent times. His message was simple but profound: winning power alone is not enough. Unless we re-engineer the system that has failed millions of Nigerians, electoral victory will mean very little. Our young people have not failed this country; political leadership has failed them. That message resonated deeply with me because it reflects a conviction I have consistently held. The task before us is not just to win elections, but to rebuild institutions, restore public trust, and create opportunities that improve the lives of our people.
