A typical post picks up 258 interactions against 916K followers, an engagement rate of 0.028%. Measured over 24 original posts, its engagement rate beats 49% of 20,444 tracked accounts of a similar size, which puts it in the middle of its size range rather than at either end. Posts are seen about 13K times each, and 1.99% of those impressions turn into an interaction. That is about 1.41% of the follower count, which is the gap between an audience on paper and an audience in a timeline. Posting runs at about 1.3 post a day over the last 30 days, with activity on roughly 77% of days. Most posts go out around 15:00 UTC, and Tuesday is the busiest day of the week. Of the 24 posts sampled, 96% carry an image or video. The account's strongest tracked post pulled 6.3K interactions, about 30x its own typical post. Recurring topics include #alopecia, #boston, #cambridgema.

Compared with accounts its own size

Ayanna Pressley's engagement rate beats 49% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (20,444 accounts, accounts of similar size (decile 10 of 10)). A percentile is spread evenly by construction, so 50 really is the middle of that group and 90 really is its top tenth.

On engagement per impression rather than per follower it beats 67% of the same group. When those two numbers disagree, the gap is about how far its posts travel rather than how people react to them.

Where this sits in the catalog

At 0.028%, Ayanna Pressley sits above the 25th percentile of the 204,694 accounts in this comparison. That places it in the below the median band, which runs 0.024% to 0.143%.

They do not show how this account performs at each hour: we keep one aggregate per account, not one per hour, so that measurement does not exist in our data.

Formats this account uses

Its own posting mix on the left, and what each of those formats does across every account we track on the right. Only formats where the effect clears our publish test appear here, so an empty row is a format we could not measure rather than one that does nothing.

  • 4% of its posts carry a link off X. Across the catalog, posts with an outbound link run 41% below the same accounts' other posts.
  • Its average post runs 373 characters, which falls in the over 280 characters band. Across the catalog, posts over 280 characters run 15% above the same accounts' other posts.

These are catalog-wide differences applied to this account's own posting mix, not a measurement of how each format performs for this account specifically. We keep one median per account, not one per format per account, so the second thing is not something this data can tell you.

Despite everything the right-wing has thrown at @IlhanMN, the people of Minnesota continue to reelect her.  I continue to be inspired by her fearlessness, love for her district, and commitment to justice for all, and I'm so grateful for our sisterhood.

Emmett Till was robbed of his life but also of his own unique Black future. And to remember him is to honor not only the life stolen from him, but the one he deserved to live. This weekend, I visited "If Emmett Till Lived," the powerful new exhibition in Chicago that affirms the fullness of the man he could have become. I was honored to select a work of art and contribute a reflection for this exhibit, and it was a joy to spend time with the visionary @sarahelizalewis and Rev. Wheeler Parker Jr., Emmett's cousin, best friend, and last surviving witness to his kidnapping, who helped bring it to life. For the first time, I invoked Emmett Till's name and didn't feel heaviness. Instead, I was immersed in blissful opportunities to imagine him as a father, a husband, and a Black man who loved softball and dreamed of being a police officer. While the strange fruit of Black bodies hang from trees across America and Black history is under attack, exhibitions like these are a necessary reminder not only of America's legacy of lynching and racial terror—but also of the Black futures that are lost when Black lives are stolen. It's why I'll continue demanding a thorough, transparent, and comprehensive federal investigation into the suspicious deaths of Black folks found hanging across the country, as authorized by the Emmett Till Antilynching Act of 2022. It's why I'll continue defending Black history and our museums—including the Smithsonian and other cultural institutions—from the unprecedented, anti-Black, and fascist assault from the occupant of the White House. And it's why I'll always fight for Black lives, Black families, Black futures, and our collective liberation. "If Emmett Till Lived" will be on display until December 19th and you can check it out at the Museum of Contemporary Photography on S Michigan Ave in Chicago.

As a child experiencing abuse, when I read Maya Angelou’s “I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings,” I knew for the first time that I was not alone in the world. So when we say “books save lives,” we mean it. That’s why I was so proud to introduce the Books Save Lives Act of 2026 — my bill to confront the rise of book bans in America, promote inclusive literature, and protect our freedom to read. This fight is about honoring the brilliance of Black and queer authors, educators, students, and librarians—and it’s a fight for education, democracy, and justice. Because from bans on our bodies to bans on our books, Trump and Republicans are stopping at nothing to rip away our fundamental freedoms, censor Black, queer and other marginalized authors, and deny us the right to learn and see ourselves reflected in our literature. Thank you to my colleagues and movement partners for your partnership on this legislation. Congress must pass our bill without delay.

What is Ayanna Pressley's engagement rate on X?
Ayanna Pressley (@AyannaPressley) has an engagement rate of 0.028%, based on the median interactions across 24 original posts from the last 30 days against 915,935 followers. Replies, reposts and quote-posts of other people are excluded from that sample.
Is that a good engagement rate?
At 0.028%, Ayanna Pressley sits above the 25th percentile of the 204,694 accounts in this comparison. Those comparison accounts are all large ones, because our scanning cadence is weighted towards big accounts, so this is a ranking among peers of similar scale rather than a ranking across X.
Does @AyannaPressley have real engagement?
Its engagement rate beats 49% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (20,444 accounts), which puts it in the middle of its size range group. Ranking inside a size band matters because engagement rate falls as accounts grow, so a raw rate would mostly re-measure the follower count. It is a starting point for a look at follower quality, not a verdict on it.
When does @AyannaPressley post?
Most posts go out around 15:00 UTC, and Tuesday is its busiest day, at roughly 1.3 posts per day across the measured window.
