A typical post picks up 549 interactions against 125K followers, an engagement rate of 0.44%. Measured over 27 original posts, its engagement rate beats 80% of 20,444 tracked accounts of a similar size. Comparing inside a size band matters here: engagement rate falls as accounts grow, so a raw rate would mostly just re-measure the follower count. Posts are seen about 4.8K times each, and 11.5% of those impressions turn into an interaction. That is about 3.83% of the follower count, which is the gap between an audience on paper and an audience in a timeline. Posting runs at about 0.93 post a day over the last 30 days, with activity on roughly 67% of days. Most posts go out around 16:00 UTC, and Monday is the busiest day of the week. Of the 27 posts sampled, 59% carry an image or video and 15% link out. The account's strongest tracked post pulled 4.7K interactions, about 8.5x its own typical post.

Compared with accounts its own size

Archbishop Salvatore J. Cordileone's engagement rate beats 80% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (20,444 accounts, accounts of similar size (decile 8 of 10)). A percentile is spread evenly by construction, so 50 really is the middle of that group and 90 really is its top tenth.

On engagement per impression rather than per follower it beats 98% of the same group. When those two numbers disagree, the gap is about how far its posts travel rather than how people react to them.

Where this sits in the catalog

At 0.44%, Archbishop Salvatore J. Cordileone sits above the 50th percentile of the 204,956 accounts in this comparison. That places it in the above the median band, which runs 0.143% to 0.678%.

Engagement rate as a share of followers, across the 204,956 accounts we have scanned enough to measure. The axis is logarithmic, because the top and bottom of this population are about 22,894 times apart and a linear axis would flatten everything below the median into a single point.

Formats this account uses

Its own posting mix on the left, and what each of those formats does across every account we track on the right. Only formats where the effect clears our publish test appear here, so an empty row is a format we could not measure rather than one that does nothing.

  • Its average post runs 370 characters, which falls in the over 280 characters band. Across the catalog, posts over 280 characters run 15% above the same accounts' other posts.

These are catalog-wide differences applied to this account's own posting mix, not a measurement of how each format performs for this account specifically. We keep one median per account, not one per format per account, so the second thing is not something this data can tell you.

At the end of her life, St. Monica told her son, St. Augustine, that the one thing she hoped for in this life had come to pass: “To see you a Catholic Christian before I died. And my God has granted this to me more lavishly that I could have hoped, letting me see even you spurning earthly happiness to be His servant.”   May her example inspire us to never give up on praying for our loved ones, trusting in God to accomplish what seems impossible.   St. Monica, pray for us.

Today, the Church in the United States rejoices in the beatification of Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen, a brilliant teacher and evangelist who understood that faith is more than intellectual knowledge and great oratory. It is a matter of the heart as well. Archbishop Sheen was remarkably prescient. What he said about the secularizing trends in society, the dehumanization of materialism, and the threats of Communism and Marxism applies today just as much or more so than it did in the 1950s and 1960s. These threats continue, sometimes in different guises. We still stand to learn much from his great discourses and writings. Archbishop Sheen is also an inspiration to us priests through his commitment to a daily Holy Hour. He has personally inspired me to maintain that daily Holy Hour before the Blessed Sacrament. Blessed Fulton Sheen, pray for us!

Birthdays are a day to give thanks for the gift of a person’s life. Today, on the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, we give thanks to God for the gift of the woman Jesus gave to us as our Mother. Mary’s maternal care continues to draw us toward her Son. On her birthday, may we entrust ourselves anew to her prayers and ask her to teach us to love Jesus as she does. Happy birthday, Blessed Mother!

Today, we commemorate the Stigmata of Saint Francis of Assisi, the wounds of Christ he received on Mount La Verna. Saint Francis experienced an encounter with the passion of Christ that was so intense it left the marks of the Crucified on his body. This Jubilee Year, as we commemorate the 800th anniversary of Saint Francis’ passage into eternal life, San Francisco will have a special connection to that holy mountain: relics from La Verna will come to our city in October. May St. Francis teach us as he did throughout his life to embrace the Cross and become ever more closely conformed to Christ. https://t.co/mbWoeTL7i4

St. Augustine, the "Doctor of Grace," reminds us that holiness begins not with our own strength but with God's grace. He boldly defended the truth that apart from Jesus we cannot save ourselves, but by His grace all things are possible. May we humbly surrender to the Lord and trust in His providence each day. St. Augustine, pray for us.

Archbishop Salvatore J. Cordileone (@ArchCordileone) has an engagement rate of 0.44%, based on the median interactions across 27 original posts from the last 30 days against 124,966 followers. Replies, reposts and quote-posts of other people are excluded from that sample.
Is that a good engagement rate?
At 0.44%, Archbishop Salvatore J. Cordileone sits above the 50th percentile of the 204,956 accounts in this comparison.
