Early reading. We have captured 7 original posts for this account, below the 8 we require before treating a median as settled. The numbers above describe what we have seen so far, not a finished profile of the account.

A typical post picks up 436 interactions against 739K followers, an engagement rate of 0.059%. Posts are seen about 82K times each, and 0.533% of those impressions turn into an interaction. That is about 11.1% of the follower count, which is the gap between an audience on paper and an audience in a timeline. Posting runs at about 0.8 post a day over the last 30 days, though only 43% of days saw any activity at all. Most posts go out around 17:00 UTC, and Tuesday is the busiest day of the week. Of the 7 posts sampled, 29% carry an image or video, 14% are part of a thread and 14% link out. The account's strongest tracked post pulled 14K interactions, about 31x its own typical post. Only 7 original posts have been captured so far, fewer than the 8 posts we want behind a median before treating it as settled. Read the figures above as an early measurement of this account, not as a finished profile of it.

Engagement rate as a share of followers, across the 204,694 accounts we have scanned enough to measure. The axis is logarithmic, because the top and bottom of this population are about 22,880 times apart and a linear axis would flatten everything below the median into a single point.

Posting timing

This account posts most often around 17:00 UTC, and Tuesday is its busiest day of the week. The bars below are the catalog-wide pattern, with this account's own busiest slot marked. They do not show how this account performs at each hour: we keep one aggregate per account, not one per hour, so that measurement does not exist in our data.

Formats this account uses

Its own posting mix on the left, and what each of those formats does across every account we track on the right. Only formats where the effect clears our publish test appear here, so an empty row is a format we could not measure rather than one that does nothing.

  • 29% of this account's sampled posts carry an image or video. Across the catalog, posts with an image or video run 111% above the same accounts' other posts.
  • 14% of its posts carry a link off X. Across the catalog, posts with an outbound link run 41% below the same accounts' other posts.
  • Its average post runs 282 characters, which falls in the over 280 characters band. Across the catalog, posts over 280 characters run 15% above the same accounts' other posts.

These are catalog-wide differences applied to this account's own posting mix, not a measurement of how each format performs for this account specifically. We keep one median per account, not one per format per account, so the second thing is not something this data can tell you.

I am delighted to have accepted the position of Secretary of State at the Ministry for Housing, Communities and Local Government. Andy Burnham's vision of good growth in every postcode demands we build on the foundations we have already laid to bring the change we have promised. I look forward to returning to government with renewed drive and determination to put power back in people’s hands - and hope back in our hearts.

This photo takes me right back. Working as a home carer for Stockport Council. It was my first proper job. A special job. But one of the toughest I've ever done. I know what it’s like to wash someone, cook for them, and make time to actually listen to them before rushing off to the next call with the clock ticking. I know how it feels to graft hard day and night doing tough, physical shifts for wages I struggled to get by on. That's why I've always fought for a fairer deal for social care. And I'm proud we started laying the foundations for change through the Employment Rights Act with the framework for the first ever fair pay agreement for adult social care workers. But that’s also why the Prime Minister's announcement today matters so much. A National Care Service could be genuinely transformative. For decades, governments have kicked this issue down the road because they have seen it as too risky, too difficult and too complicated. That changes today.

No amount of headline-chasing, or following Reform to the extremes, can conceal the damage the Tories did to housing in this country. People without ILR are already ineligible for social housing, so the Tories are targeting refugees and long-term UK residents who have contributed to this country but are not British citizens, including NHS staff. It would leave more families at risk of homelessness, while driving up the use of temporary accommodation at taxpayers’ expense. This unserious, unworkable proposal, copied from Reform, would do nothing to tackle the housing crisis the Tories themselves created. https://t.co/i6og8Qi61V

Today we remember Alice, Bebe and Elsie, and hold in our thoughts their families, loved ones, the survivors, and everyone whose lives were changed forever by the devastating attack in Southport. The courage and strength shown by those affected, and by the wider Southport community, continues to inspire us. We stand with them today and always.

I’m so pleased to have an MHCLG ministerial team of Matthew Pennycook, Florence Eshalomi, Jim McMahon, and Sally Jameson - with Baroness Taylor and Baroness Blake in the Lords - and ably supported by Olivia Blake, Luke Charters, Kirith Entwistle and Mary Kelly Foy as PPSs. Looking forward to working with you all as we deliver together as a department.
