A typical post picks up 57 interactions against 357K followers, an engagement rate of 0.016%. Measured over 80 original posts, its engagement rate beats 41% of 20,182 tracked accounts of a similar size, which puts it in the middle of its size range rather than at either end. Posts are seen about 4.5K times each, and 1.28% of those impressions turn into an interaction. That is about 1.25% of the follower count, which is the gap between an audience on paper and an audience in a timeline. Posting runs at about 2.9 posts a day over the last 30 days, with activity on roughly 67% of days. Most posts go out around 22:00 UTC, and Thursday is the busiest day of the week. Of the 80 posts sampled, 100% carry an image or video and 8% are part of a thread. The account's strongest tracked post pulled 6.0K interactions, about 105x its own typical post.

Compared with accounts its own size

Andrew Holness's engagement rate beats 41% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (20,182 accounts, accounts of similar size (decile 10 of 10)). A percentile is spread evenly by construction, so 50 really is the middle of that group and 90 really is its top tenth.

On engagement per impression rather than per follower it beats 54% of the same group. When those two numbers disagree, the gap is about how far its posts travel rather than how people react to them.

Where this sits in the catalog

At 0.016%, Andrew Holness sits above the 10th percentile of the 202,076 accounts in this comparison. That places it in the bottom 25% band, which runs below 0.024%.

Formats this account uses

Its own posting mix on the left, and what each of those formats does across every account we track on the right. Only formats where the effect clears our publish test appear here, so an empty row is a format we could not measure rather than one that does nothing.

Jamaica has welcomed 43 nurses from Ghana as part of the health partnership between both countries. The nurses have expertise in areas such as emergency care, critical care, paediatrics, oncology, mental health and midwifery. They will be placed in public hospitals across Jamaica, including hospitals in the Western and South East regions and the University Hospital of the West Indies. The four-year agreement allows for up to 400 healthcare professionals from Ghana to support Jamaica’s health system. The partnership will also allow Jamaican and Ghanaian healthcare professionals to share knowledge and strengthen areas such as primary healthcare, health insurance and the management of chronic diseases.

I am proud to celebrate Brandon Brown, a young Jamaican who has taken our skills and talent to the world stage! Brandon, a trainee at the HEART/NSTA Trust’s National Tool and Engineering Institute, has won gold in Optoelectronic Technology at the WorldSkills Competition in Shanghai, China. Optoelectronic technology involves using electrical systems to create, control and work with light, including technologies such as LED displays and other electronic systems. At the competition, Brandon built and programmed LED displays. His achievement makes him Jamaica’s first medalist at the competition and the first from the Caribbean to win a medal. I congratulate Brandon, his family, his trainers and the HEART/NSTA Trust. I also salute the entire Team Jamaica delegation for carrying our flag with pride. Brandon has shown that Jamaican talent belongs on the world stage, and I hope his achievement will inspire many more young Jamaicans to pursue skills, technology and the opportunities that come with them.

Slinger Francisco, ORTT, CM, OBE, known to the world as The Mighty Sparrow, was a true Caribbean music icon and legend. Growing up, I enjoyed his music, humour and sharp social commentary. His songs became part of the soundtrack of Caribbean life and culture, beloved by generations of Jamaicans and people across the region. I extend my condolences to his family, the people of Trinidad and Tobago, and the people of Grenada, where he was born. What is your favourite Mighty Sparrow song? Congo Man, Saltfish, Jean and Dinah…?

I had a surprise informal courtesy call from two of our top athletes and sports ambassadors, Asafa Powell and Junelle Lyles. We had a long chat about life after sports, Jamaica’s athletic institutions and what is needed to keep it strong and dominant. We also reflected on the life of coach Francis and the contribution of all our great coaches, not only to Jamaican athletes, but to the sport in general using coaching innovations and integrating technology.

Some moments stay with you. 🌸 During the 2025 election campaign, we were driving through when, out of nowhere, I saw a bouquet of flowers coming towards me. I reached out, caught it, and before I knew it, we had driven on. I never got the chance to properly thank the person who had made such a thoughtful gesture. So imagine how lovely it was to finally meet her! I was able to tell her that I remembered that moment, that her kindness meant something to me, and, most importantly, that I still have the bouquet. Campaigns move quickly. There are crowds, long days and countless encounters, but it is often the simple, genuine acts of kindness that you remember long after. Thank you for that beautiful gesture and for the love and support behind it. It was such a pleasure finally meeting you.

Abi-Gaye Smythe, Founder of the “I Have a Heart Foundation,” shared a heartfelt account of what can happen when advocacy meets a government that listens and acts. She recalled meeting me in 2020 to raise concerns about the need for trained perfusionists in Jamaica’s cardiac care system. I listened and took action, leading to scholarships for perfusion medicine and the training of two Jamaican perfusionists. As someone living with a serious heart condition and who has undergone multiple cardiac surgeries at the University Hospital of the West Indies, Abi-Gaye said she remains committed to advocating for stronger cardiac care in Jamaica.

I warmly congratulate Celene Hall on winning the 2026 Miss Universe Jamaica title! I also congratulate Dr. Tianna McDaniel on being named first runner-up, and Kadejah Anderson on being named second runner-up. Each of you represented yourselves and your parishes with pride, and your accomplishments are worthy of recognition. I wish Celene every success as she prepares to represent Jamaica at the 75th Miss Universe pageant in Puerto Rico on November 24. Congratulations, Celene. Jamaica is proud of you! 🇯🇲

I am deeply saddened by the passing of veteran broadcaster Dervan Malcolm. For more than 30 years Jamaicans listened to Dervan’s calm, distinct and trusted voice. Through his work at Power 106 and especially his programme, Both Sides of the Story, he created space for meaningful conversations on the issues that matter to Jamaicans at home and in the Diaspora. Dervan was a consummate communicator who used his platform to inform, educate and empower. His commitment to public discourse, road safety, child protection, entrepreneurship and the Jamaican Diaspora reflected a deep desire to make a positive difference. I extend sincere condolences to his family, friends, colleagues and the wider media fraternity. Jamaica has lost a respected broadcaster and a distinctive voice whose contribution will not be forgotten. May his soul rest in peace.

This morning, I met with Faith Johnson and Moses Linton, who have returned to Jamaica after completing their Master of Science degrees in Cardiovascular Perfusion at the University of Bristol. Their journey began when Ms. Abi-Gaye Smythe of the I Have a Heart Foundation brought to my attention the shortage of trained perfusionists in Jamaica. Through the CHASE Fund, we were able to support their specialised training. Now back on the island, they are ready to put their specialised training to work, helping to strengthen Jamaica’s capacity to provide life-saving cardiac care. It is encouraging to see our young professionals return home ready to serve and make a difference.

What is Andrew Holness's engagement rate on X?
Andrew Holness (@AndrewHolnessJM) has an engagement rate of 0.016%, based on the median interactions across 80 original posts from the last 30 days against 357,246 followers. Replies, reposts and quote-posts of other people are excluded from that sample.
Is that a good engagement rate?
At 0.016%, Andrew Holness sits above the 10th percentile of the 202,076 accounts in this comparison. Those comparison accounts are all large ones, because our scanning cadence is weighted towards big accounts, so this is a ranking among peers of similar scale rather than a ranking across X.
Does @AndrewHolnessJM have real engagement?
Its engagement rate beats 41% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (20,182 accounts), which puts it in the middle of its size range group. Ranking inside a size band matters because engagement rate falls as accounts grow, so a raw rate would mostly re-measure the follower count. It is a starting point for a look at follower quality, not a verdict on it.
When does @AndrewHolnessJM post?
Most posts go out around 22:00 UTC, and Thursday is its busiest day, at roughly 2.87 posts per day across the measured window.
