Andrea Horwath engagement report
@AndreaHorwath - 140K followers on X
Measured over 39 original posts from a 30-day window, last computed on September 28, 2026.
Engagement
A typical post picks up 15 interactions against 140K followers, an engagement rate of 0.011%. Measured over 39 original posts, its engagement rate beats 21% of 20,444 tracked accounts of a similar size. That is a reason to look at how the audience behaves - reply depth, saves, whether the followers are recent - rather than a conclusion about it on its own. Posts are seen about 2.2K times each, and 0.685% of those impressions turn into an interaction. That is about 1.57% of the follower count, which is the gap between an audience on paper and an audience in a timeline. Posting runs at about 1.4 post a day over the last 30 days, with activity on roughly 63% of days. Most posts go out around 02:00 UTC, and Sunday is the busiest day of the week. Of the 39 posts sampled, 97% carry an image or video and 5% link out. The account's strongest tracked post pulled 191 interactions, about 13x its own typical post.

Compared with accounts its own size
Andrea Horwath's engagement rate beats 21% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (20,444 accounts, accounts of similar size (decile 8 of 10)). A percentile is spread evenly by construction, so 50 really is the middle of that group and 90 really is its top tenth.
On engagement per impression rather than per follower it beats 32% of the same group. When those two numbers disagree, the gap is about how far its posts travel rather than how people react to them.
Where this sits in the catalog
At 0.011%, Andrea Horwath sits above the 10th percentile of the 205,676 accounts in this comparison. That places it in the bottom 25% band, which runs below 0.024%.

Posting timing
This account posts most often around 02:00 UTC, and Sunday is its busiest day of the week. The bars below are the catalog-wide pattern, with this account's own busiest slot marked. They do not show how this account performs at each hour: we keep one aggregate per account, not one per hour, so that measurement does not exist in our data.

Formats this account uses
Its own posting mix on the left, and what each of those formats does across every account we track on the right. Only formats where the effect clears our publish test appear here, so an empty row is a format we could not measure rather than one that does nothing.
| Format | This account | Catalog effect | 95% interval | Accounts behind it |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Image or video | 97% of posts | +111% | +108% to +115% | 34K |
| Outbound link | 5% of posts | -41% | -42% to -40% | 32K |
| Typical length | - | +15% | +14% to +16% | 32K |
- 97% of this account's sampled posts carry an image or video. Across the catalog, posts with an image or video run 111% above the same accounts' other posts.
- 5% of its posts carry a link off X. Across the catalog, posts with an outbound link run 41% below the same accounts' other posts.
- Its average post runs 618 characters, which falls in the over 280 characters band. Across the catalog, posts over 280 characters run 15% above the same accounts' other posts.
These are catalog-wide differences applied to this account's own posting mix, not a measurement of how each format performs for this account specifically. We keep one median per account, not one per format per account, so the second thing is not something this data can tell you.

#Hamont Great conversation with Premier Ford this afternoon about Hamilton, and the opportunities ahead. #HamOnt Thank you to Phil Mattingly and CNN for inviting me join you yesterday to talk about Hamilton and the issues facing our community. What happens in the Canada-U.S. trade relationship has very real consequences here at home - for Hamilton workers, businesses and families. My focus as Mayor remains on Hamiltonians: protecting jobs, supporting local businesses, attracting investment and making sure our city has the supports and opportunities it needs. And yes, here in Hamilton, it’s Lake Ontario - and that’s what we’ll continue to call it. But there are much bigger issues that need our attention. I’ll keep working with business and labour leaders and every level of government to advocate for Hamilton and keep our city building, working and moving forward. @cityofhamilton @CNN @TheLeadCNN @Phil_Mattingly

#HamOnt - Statement on the Release of the 2027 Budget Forecast Let me be very clear: today we received a forecast, not a budget. The budget will be finalized early next year and I can guarantee it will be nowhere near as high as the forecast. Trump's tariffs are creating massive uncertainty for our workers, businesses and families while Hamiltonians are being squeezed from every direction. The cost of groceries, housing and basic necessities keeps climbing and household budgets are stretched to the max. These realities must be at the centre of every single City budget decision. I will fight to protect the services people rely on and the critical infrastructure investments our city needs while I push for more support from the Federal and Provincial governments. That's how we keep building Hamilton affordably.

Hamilton is bringing home another $210,000 in federal funding. I’ve made it a priority to build strong partnerships with other orders of government and fight for Hamilton’s fair share. We’re seeing that advocacy pay off, with significant new investments coming into our city for housing, infrastructure and stronger communities. Building a climate-resilient Hamilton is not an option — it’s a necessity. Thank you to the Government of Canada and the Federation of Canadian Municipalities for continuing to invest in Hamilton and partner with us to build a safer, stronger and more resilient city.

#HamOnt Today, on Ukrainian Heritage Day, we celebrate Hamilton’s vibrant Ukrainian community and all that you bring to our city. I’ve been proud to stand alongside our Ukrainian community, especially as Hamilton opened its doors to families fleeing the war in Ukraine. Your strength, resilience, culture and generosity make Hamilton a better place for everyone. Happy Ukrainian Heritage Day! Slava Ukraini!

This morning, I joined Patrick Chiasson in Hamilton’s east end for a few steps of a much bigger journey. Patrick is walking 400 km from Bowmanville to Niagara Falls for his 3rd annual Walk to Get Better, sharing a powerful message along the way: there is no weakness or shame in struggling with mental health or addiction, and no shame in asking for help. It was incredibly moving to hear Patrick speak about his own journey and his vision for a society where no one has to struggle alone. September is Suicide Awareness Month — an important reminder that compassion matters, conversations matter, and accessible mental health and addiction supports can save lives. Thank you, Patrick, for walking the walk and reminding people across our communities that they are not alone. Wishing you strength, good weather and lots of support for the rest of your 400 km journey! 💙 Follow Patrick’s journey, learn more about his message and support the Walk to Get Better at https://t.co/1tuKrIfFwk.

#HamOnt Please see below an update to my earlier Statement on the Canada - U.S Tariff Negotiations. “Having heard the details from the Prime Minister, I fully agree with his decision to reject a bad trade deal, and I continue to support the Team Canada approach. Hamilton is well positioned to help lead Canada’s economic diversification, strengthen interprovincial trade and national supply chains, expand direct access to global markets, and create opportunities across our steel, advanced manufacturing, agriculture, life sciences and other key sectors. I have reached out to the Premier, as well as business and union leaders, and will continue those conversations in the days ahead as I continue to advocate for Hamilton’s workers and businesses.” @cityofhamilton

Reading these numbers
- What is Andrea Horwath's engagement rate on X?
- Andrea Horwath (@AndreaHorwath) has an engagement rate of 0.011%, based on the median interactions across 39 original posts from the last 30 days against 139,666 followers. Replies, reposts and quote-posts of other people are excluded from that sample.
- Is that a good engagement rate?
- At 0.011%, Andrea Horwath sits above the 10th percentile of the 205,676 accounts in this comparison. Those comparison accounts are all large ones, because our scanning cadence is weighted towards big accounts, so this is a ranking among peers of similar scale rather than a ranking across X.
- Does @AndreaHorwath have real engagement?
- Its engagement rate beats 21% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (20,444 accounts), which puts it in the bottom quarter for its size group. Ranking inside a size band matters because engagement rate falls as accounts grow, so a raw rate would mostly re-measure the follower count. It is a starting point for a look at follower quality, not a verdict on it.
- When does @AndreaHorwath post?
- Most posts go out around 02:00 UTC, and Sunday is its busiest day, at roughly 1.37 posts per day across the measured window.
