Desde esta mañana estoy haciéndole seguimiento, junto con la Policía Metropolitana de Barranquilla, a la instalación de una bandera y cilindros alusivos al ELN en Barranquilla y Soledad. ¡Ya hay una captura! En coordinación con la Fiscalía, la Policía capturó mediante allanamiento a alias “Kleiver”, integrante de Los Costeños, quien tenía una orden de captura vigente por hurto calificado y agravado. La investigación lo identifica como el conductor del vehículo utilizado para transportar los cilindros y la bandera. Los primeros elementos fueron hallados esta madrugada en Ciudadela 20 de Julio, en Barranquilla. Horas después se encontraron otros dos cilindros en un parqueadero cercano a la Terminal de Transportes de Soledad. Los elementos inspeccionados no contenían explosivos. La operación continúa para localizar el vehículo y a la otra persona que participó en estos hechos. La general Sandra Liliana Rodríguez está al frente de las verificaciones para esclarecer el caso. Frente a los narcoterroristas que buscan unir fuerzas para intimidar a los colombianos y atacar al Estado, el Estado en pleno tiene que actuar unido: Fuerza Pública, Fiscalía y justicia, con toda su capacidad para desmantelar sus estructuras, cortar sus rentas criminales y llevar a sus integrantes ante la ley. No voy a permitir que intimiden a los colombianos mientras yo sea presidente. ¡Llovió en Barranquilla y miren lo que pasó debajo de la calle 85! Este es el detrás de cámaras de una solución que no se ve desde la superficie, pero que ya está haciendo su trabajo: el agua lluvia que antes veíamos correr por la calle ahora pasa por el sistema subterráneo. Tal cual lo ordené, entre el 22 y el 31 de agosto, nuestra Policía Nacional ejecutó 7 operaciones y 22 allanamientos, logrando 39 capturas, entre ellas 4 cabecillas, y afectando estructuras como Los Costeños, el Clan del Golfo, Los Pepes y Los Porteños. Además, se realizaron 165 incautaciones, entre ellas 10 armas de fuego, una granada, celulares, SIM cards y otros elementos, golpeando sus economías criminales en $210 millones. Y hay un resultado que habla por sí solo: la semana pasada Barranquilla registró 8 homicidios, una reducción del 58 % frente a la semana anterior y por debajo del promedio de las últimas siete semanas. La seguridad se recupera con autoridad, inteligencia y presencia permanente en las calles. A los criminales de Barranquilla: vamos por ustedes.
