رحم الله الشيخ الفاضل خالد راشد المبارك عرفته وانا شاب في المرحلة الثانوية من خلال مكتبته الكبيرة في بيته في منطقة الصليبخات وهالني كثرة اطلاعه وتلخيصه للفوائد التي يقرأها في كروت وله مواقف مشهودة أثناء الاحتلال العراقي حتى كان مطلوبا للمخابرات العراقية فنجاه الله منهم ثم بعد التحرير قام على مشروع رائد في استضافة علماء متقنين وعلى نفقته الخاصة لتعليم طلبة العلم الشرعي فدرست في بيته في الخالدية علوم اللغة على يد العلامة الشنقيطي محمد سعيد أبومية حفظه الله فحفظت المعلقات العشر وشرحها وإعرابها وقصيدة بانت سعاد وغيرها ودرست الآجرومية في النحو ثم ألفية ابن مالك لكن لم أتمكن من استكمالها لظروف البعثة ثم انقطعنا سنين لكنني كنت دائم السؤال عنه فلما قررت النزول في الانتخابات لعام 2003 شاورته فقال "لو كان الخيار لي لاوصيتك بالانقطاع للعلم الشرعي ولكن كن حيث تجد نفسك انفع لدينك و البلاد والعباد وارجو ان تكون نافعا أينما كنت ." رحمك الله وجزاك عنا خير الجزاء وأبدلك دارا خيرا من دارك وبارك في ذريتك مبارك واخوانه ويعز علي عدم وجودي في البلاد لحضور جنازتك و إنا لله وإنا إليه راجعون
