Suddenly everyone who wants to interact with Gen Z and Gen Alpha, and some who have taken it on themselves to preach “culture” to them via social media, the simple question to all of them is… Where were you when they were facing AK-47s, lathis with rusted nails, electric shock guns and electric barricades, tear gas and when women were manhandled in the name of “law and order”? Where were you when they were detained at home while leaving for peaceful protests, or when they were arrested? Why didn’t you step in then?

The bjp has a weird obsession with grabbing open spaces in Mumbai and handing it over to its own people. This is why they contest elections in Mumbai. Apart from wanting to grab the city’s only artificial turf football ground- for a convention centre and naming it after one of their leaders, now they have gifted another 16 acres… 16 acres to another member of their party! One is a cricket ground, that we made during our term for all Mumbaikars to play on… and 2 MHADA plots that will be given for free. We will oppose this and we will ask all Mumbaikars to step out on the streets against this blatant landgrab by the bjp regime. They want to steal open spaces away from Mumbaikars and hand it over to its own people. These allotments must be scrapped by the Chief Minister, but I guess he won’t, since his party stands to benefit from these landgrabs

Special Case. They don’t have funds for public transport, or education or health. They have funds for “special cases” to help bjp MLAs. Just like the @CMOMaharashtra is gifting 16 acres of open spaces to a bjp MLC in Mumbai. And indulging in a land grab of a football ground to benefit his contractor friend. The voter will make a special case to vote them out at the earliest!

Today I visited the plots in Mulund that the CM wants to convert from a “sports complex” reservation into a petrol pump. The shocking fact is that there is a plot reserved for a petrol pump right opposite the said plot, and that too one which can be linked to the highway. The question is why is the @CMOMaharashtra so keen on handing out all of Mumbai’s open spaces, playgrounds to concrete pouring friends? What is this anger against the youth that the regime wants to ensure no open space in Mumbai?? We will fight this. Tomorrow, our first step: 5 pm, Sunday Neville D’Souza Football Turf, Bandra West! Come to show a Red Card to the BJP regime that is snatching away the playgrounds from Mumbaikars.
