A typical post picks up 47 interactions against 316K followers, an engagement rate of 0.015%. Measured over 9 original posts, its engagement rate beats 28% of 20,444 tracked accounts of a similar size, which puts it in the middle of its size range rather than at either end. Posts are seen about 9.3K times each, and 0.505% of those impressions turn into an interaction. That is about 2.94% of the follower count, which is the gap between an audience on paper and an audience in a timeline. Posting runs at about 0.53 post a day over the last 30 days, though only 27% of days saw any activity at all. Most posts go out around 17:00 UTC, and Monday is the busiest day of the week. Of the 9 posts sampled, 67% carry an image or video and 22% link out. The account's strongest tracked post pulled 166K interactions, about 3524x its own typical post. Recurring topics include #adkaysi, #somalia.

Compared with accounts its own size

Abdirahman Abdishakur's engagement rate beats 28% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (20,444 accounts, accounts of similar size (decile 9 of 10)). A percentile is spread evenly by construction, so 50 really is the middle of that group and 90 really is its top tenth.

On engagement per impression rather than per follower it beats 27% of the same group. When those two numbers disagree, the gap is about how far its posts travel rather than how people react to them.

Where this sits in the catalog

At 0.015%, Abdirahman Abdishakur sits above the 10th percentile of the 204,694 accounts in this comparison. That places it in the bottom 25% band, which runs below 0.024%.

Formats this account uses

Its own posting mix on the left, and what each of those formats does across every account we track on the right. Only formats where the effect clears our publish test appear here, so an empty row is a format we could not measure rather than one that does nothing.

We stand with Omar Abdulkadir Artan. It is deeply disappointing and regrettable that Omar was denied entry to the United States, preventing him from officiating at the FIFA World Cup despite earning his place through talent, professionalism, integrity, and years of hard work. Omar was not selected because of his nationality. He was selected because he is one of Africa’s finest referees and the 2025 CAF Referee of the Year. His place at the World Cup was earned on merit. It is therefore particularly troubling that a professional of his calibre appears to have lost this historic opportunity not because of his conduct, qualifications, or achievements, but because of the circumstances of his country of origin. Individuals should be judged by their character, accomplishments, and abilities, not by factors beyond their control. This is a disappointment not only for Omar, but for Somalia, African football, and all those who believe that sport should transcend borders and reward excellence. While he has been denied the opportunity to officiate at this World Cup, nothing can diminish what he has already achieved. Omar remains a pioneer, a role model, and a source of immense pride for Somalia. We stand with Omar. We stand for fairness, equal opportunity, and the principle that excellence should be recognized regardless of nationality or origin.

I strongly condemn the drone attack on the residence of General Mahad Abdirahman, former Commander of the Custodial Corps. It is a dangerous escalation that threatens peace, undermines state-building, and further erodes public trust in the state. General Mahad’s case epitomizes the personalization and abuse of state power. Hassan Sheikh removed him from office and detained him amid a political dispute linked to his family relationship with South West President Abdiaziz Laftagareen. Now his residence has been attacked by a drone. This is state power weaponized for political revenge. Even more alarming is the use of weapons, drones, intelligence, and capabilities provided to Somalia to fight Al-Shabaab in domestic political confrontations. Somalia has already paid a devastating price for subordinating state institutions to the will of individuals. This attack does not demonstrate strength; it reveals desperation, recklessness, and political failure. It also raises a fundamental question: if Hassan Sheikh uses military force and drones to settle an electoral dispute in South West, how can he be trusted to guarantee a neutral environment for a federal election that will determine his own political future? International partners cannot remain silent while counter-terrorism assistance is diverted into domestic political repression. They must ensure their support is not used against political opponents or to influence electoral outcomes. Supporting Somalia is not the same as supporting the occupant of Villa Somalia whose constitutional term has expired. If drones are used to settle South West’s political dispute today, what will be used to settle Somalia’s federal electoral dispute tomorrow? #Somalia @US2SOMALIA @UKinSomalia @EU_in_Somalia @SwedeninSomalia @_AfricanUnion @UNTMIS_ @TC_MogadisuBE @GermanyinSOM @ItalyinSomalia @NLinSomalia @aussom_

Congratulations to @Sagal_AW on her historic election as the first person of Somali heritage to serve in the House of Commons. This is a moment of immense pride for British Somalis. Her victory carries particular political significance because Holborn and St Pancras is the seat vacated by former Prime Minister Keir Starmer. Her opponents included Zack Polanski, leader of the Green Party of England and Wales, making this a contest watched closely across British politics. This achievement honours Sagal’s parents, particularly her mother, with whom I worked in community service. She worked tirelessly to rebuild her family’s life and secure her children’s education and future. Sagal grew up with that commitment to helping others. Her election continues a tradition of service rooted in her upbringing. Her success will strengthen the confidence, aspirations and self-belief of young British Somalis. It shows that they can take pride in their Somali heritage and play a leading role in the country they call home. For British Somalis, having someone in Parliament who understands their circumstances, recognises their challenges and shares their experiences matters. It creates an opportunity for their needs to be heard, their concerns understood and their interests represented where decisions are made. Equally important is the opportunity for Somalis to speak for themselves: to tell their own stories, articulate their contribution to Britain and express their ambitions for its future. When a community’s voice goes unheard, it becomes easier for others to portray it in ways that bear little resemblance to its lived experience. Sagal’s responsibility is to serve everyone in her constituency. I wish her every success in fulfilling that duty with competence, integrity and dedication. May her achievement inspire more young people to prepare themselves for leadership and public service. Congratulations, Sagal.

Xasan Sheekh markii ay ku filnaan waayey xaraashka dhulkii danta guud ee gudaha dalka, ayuu u gudbay hantidii Soomaaliyeed ee dibadda taalay. Haddii aan si degdeg ah la iskaga qaban, wuxuu u socdaa in uu jasiiradaha dalka iibiyo. This is the consequence of installing an illegitimate, inexperienced and handpicked individual in one of the highest offices of the state. His statement represents a reckless departure from Somalia’s established foreign-policy position on a highly sensitive international dispute and risks undermining Somalia’s own argument for sovereignty and territorial integrity. #Somalia #ForeignPolicy #Statecraft

What is Abdirahman Abdishakur's engagement rate on X?
Abdirahman Abdishakur (@AAbdishakur) has an engagement rate of 0.015%, based on the median interactions across 9 original posts from the last 30 days against 316,328 followers. Replies, reposts and quote-posts of other people are excluded from that sample.
Is that a good engagement rate?
At 0.015%, Abdirahman Abdishakur sits above the 10th percentile of the 204,694 accounts in this comparison. Those comparison accounts are all large ones, because our scanning cadence is weighted towards big accounts, so this is a ranking among peers of similar scale rather than a ranking across X.
Does @AAbdishakur have real engagement?
Its engagement rate beats 28% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (20,444 accounts), which puts it in the middle of its size range group. Ranking inside a size band matters because engagement rate falls as accounts grow, so a raw rate would mostly re-measure the follower count. It is a starting point for a look at follower quality, not a verdict on it.
When does @AAbdishakur post?
Most posts go out around 17:00 UTC, and Monday is its busiest day, at roughly 0.53 posts per day across the measured window.
