STIHL TIMBERSPORTS® is an international extreme sport competition series. Not for nothing is it regarded as the top class in the sport – it has the best athletes, the highest spectator numbers and the biggest media coverage. In 1985, STIHL USA joined forces with sports channel ESPN to create the STIHL TIMBERSPORTS® Series; 2018 marked the 18th year for the competition series in Europe. STIHL, the series’ main sponsor, has now been joined by a number of other partners, including LIEBHERR and Ford. National championships all over the world have long become established. Since 2005 the best competitors worldwide match in the annual World Championships. Since 2010 the Champions Trophy is part of the international competitions where the athletes go head-to-head in four consecutive disciplines.
