PlayerSells Creator Score

One number from 0 to 100 for a social or streaming account, built only from things we measure: how big the audience is, how much of it shows up, how fast it is growing and how steadily the account posts. Each part is a percentile against comparable accounts on the same platform, and the parts are always shown next to the total.

The formula

The score is the weighted mean of up to four percentiles: audience size (30%), engagement (35%), 30-day growth (20%), posting consistency (15%).

A component we do not hold for an account is dropped and the other weights are scaled up so they still add to 100%. The score never treats a missing measurement as a bad one.

The total is rounded to a whole number and named by band: Exceptional from 90, Strong from 75, Solid from 55, Developing from 35, Early from 0. A score that rests on a single signal is labelled Limited data instead of a band, because on its own it is only the audience percentile. The bands are words for a range, not a verdict.

See the score on any profile you open with Creator Rank, the free Chrome extension.

What each component measures

  • Audience size (30%). The follower or subscriber percentile from the PlayerSells follower rank ladders, the same number the free rank checkers show.
  • Engagement (35%). Ranked against accounts of a similar size, because engagement falls as audiences grow and comparing a small account with a huge one would only measure size again.
    • X (Twitter): Median engagement per post as a share of followers, ranked against tracked X accounts in the same follower decile.
    • Telegram: Average views per post as a share of subscribers, ranked against public channels of a similar size.
    • YouTube: Channel views gained per day over the last 14 days, ranked against channels in the same subscriber band. Channels under 1M subscribers are not ranked.
    • Kick: Average concurrent viewers over 30 days, ranked against Kick channels we have measured live.
    • Twitch: Average concurrent viewers over 30 days, ranked against Twitch channels we have measured live.
  • 30-day growth (20%). The relative change in followers over 30 days, ranked against every account we recorded daily on both days that had at least 100 followers at the start. Only networks where that comparison set holds at least 500 accounts are scored.
  • Posting consistency (15%). How evenly an account's posts are spread across the measurement window, from 0 to 100. Only measured on X, where we read accounts' posts.

YouTube growth is not scored because YouTube rounds public subscriber counts, so most channels show no change over 30 days. Kick and Twitch growth are not scored because our daily follower history for them is too thin to rank against.

What the score does not tell you

It does not judge content, audience location, brand safety or whether followers are real. It ranks an account on numbers we can measure from public data, against the accounts we measure, and on TikTok, YouTube, Kick and Twitch that comparison set is the accounts PlayerSells tracks rather than the whole platform.

Frequently asked questions

Is the Creator Score a measure of quality?

No. Every component is a percentile: the share of comparable accounts on the same platform this account is ahead of, on one thing PlayerSells measured. A small account with a very engaged audience and a huge account with a quiet one can land on the same score for opposite reasons, which is why the components are always shown next to the number.

Why do some accounts have fewer signals than others?

Because we do not hold every measurement for every account. A missing component is never counted as zero: it is dropped, the remaining weights are scaled back up to 100%, and the score says how many signals it rests on. A score from a single signal is the audience percentile and nothing more, so it is labelled Limited data instead of a band.

Is the score comparable across platforms?

Only loosely. Each component ranks an account against accounts on its own network, and the networks measure different things: engagement on X is engagement per follower, on Telegram it is views per subscriber, on YouTube it is view velocity, and on Kick and Twitch it is live viewers. A 70 on X and a 70 on Telegram both mean ahead of most comparable accounts on that network, not the same thing.

How often does it change?

Follower counts and the daily history move every day. The engagement aggregates are recomputed as the engines rescan accounts, and the ladders an account is ranked against are re-measured periodically. A single account's score is cached for up to an hour.

Where can I see the score?

In the free Creator Rank browser extension, which shows it on profile pages, and through the PlayerSells tools. The follower rank checkers show the audience component on its own.

PlayerSells is not affiliated with X, Telegram, YouTube, TikTok, Bluesky, Kick or Twitch. The score is computed from public data PlayerSells collects and is shown for information only.
