A typical post picks up 298 interactions against 231K followers, an engagement rate of 0.129%. Measured over 48 original posts, its engagement rate beats 66% of 15,519 tracked accounts of a similar size, which puts it in the middle of its size range rather than at either end. Posts are seen about 45K times each, and 0.661% of those impressions turn into an interaction. That is about 19.5% of the follower count, which is the gap between an audience on paper and an audience in a timeline. Posting runs at about 4.2 posts a day over the last 30 days, with activity on roughly 53% of days. Most posts go out around 19:00 UTC, and Monday is the busiest day of the week. Of the 48 posts sampled, 73% carry an image or video and 27% link out. The account's strongest tracked post pulled 25K interactions, about 85x its own typical post. Recurring topics include #btc, #blackferns, #redroses.

Compared with accounts its own size

dave the wave🌊🌓's engagement rate beats 66% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (15,519 accounts, accounts of similar size (decile 9 of 10)). A percentile is spread evenly by construction, so 50 really is the middle of that group and 90 really is its top tenth.

On engagement per impression rather than per follower it beats 35% of the same group. When those two numbers disagree, the gap is about how far its posts travel rather than how people react to them.

Where this sits in the catalog

At 0.129%, dave the wave🌊🌓 sits above the 50th percentile of the 157,752 accounts in this comparison. That places it in the above the median band, which runs 0.128% to 0.604%.

Formats this account uses

Its own posting mix on the left, and what each of those formats does across every account we track on the right. Only formats where the effect clears our publish test appear here, so an empty row is a format we could not measure rather than one that does nothing.

  • 73% of this account's sampled posts carry an image or video. Across the catalog, posts with an image or video run 111% above the same accounts' other posts.
  • 27% of its posts carry a link off X. Across the catalog, posts with an outbound link run 41% below the same accounts' other posts.
  • Its average post runs 413 characters, which falls in the over 280 characters band. Across the catalog, posts over 280 characters run 15% above the same accounts' other posts.

These are catalog-wide differences applied to this account's own posting mix, not a measurement of how each format performs for this account specifically. We keep one median per account, not one per format per account, so the second thing is not something this data can tell you.

BREAKING: The Trump administration announces state-run media, similar to Russia and North Korea, launching "Trump TV," its own 24/7 streaming channel of the administration's remarks and events, going live tonight at 7 PM and claiming "just the news that matters most - straight from the Trump Administration." This is the first time in US history an American president has launched a formal state-media channel in his own name. It comes 3 days after the White House banned CNN, MS NOW and Politico, and hours after the five-network TV pool stopped covering Trump's events in response, leaving a White House event today with video but no sound. The White House is now broadcasting the president itself.

The world hasn’t seen anything like the destruction in Gaza since Second World War. Gaza is nearly 3 times smaller than Hiroshima, and Israel dropped 223,000+ tonnes of explosives, equivalent of ~15 "Little Boy" ATOMIC BOMBS, on Gaza. Gaza is nearly the same size as Nagasaki, and Israel dropped 223,000+ tonnes of explosives, equivalent of ~12 "Fat Man" ATOMIC BOMBS, on Gaza. Gaza is nearly 3 times smaller than Berlin, and Israel dropped over 3 times more explosives than dropped on Berlin, over 25 times than what dropped on Hamburg, and almost 57 times what dropped on Dresden. Gaza is nearly 5 times smaller than London, and Israel dropped over 12 times more explosives than dropped on London, almost 20 times than what dropped on Paris, and nearly 45 times than what dropped on Warsaw. The destructions of Gaza cities is more severe than the destructions of European Cities in WWII. According to Article II of the UN Genocide Convention, genocide involves specific acts committed with the "intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial or religious group." Wanton devastation not justified by military necessity; deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction is also an act of genocide according to Article Il of the UN Genocide Convention.

I rarely post things about this kind of stuff, but sometimes you have to speak up. I have been an Ed Sheeran super fan since before anyone knew who he was. I’ve spent hundreds if not thousands on concert tickets. He has so many Jewish fans AND friends. He doesn’t need to make a political statement and he doesn’t need to share his views. But to not come out and condemn what happened at his shows this weekend - a deafening silence - is sickening, unfathomable, and has lost him every Jewish fan I know.

https://t.co/FDw7q4eIBv

🇺🇸🇮🇷🇮🇱 Trump one again says he went to war with Iran to save Israel: “I went to war to stop what could be one of the worst things that could ever happen to the world — to us, but to the world. Israel would be wiped out right now. There would be no Israel, there'd be no Middle East, and then the rockets and the bombs would start coming our way and Europe's way. And I stopped it.”

What is dave the wave🌊🌓's engagement rate on X?
dave the wave🌊🌓 (@davthewave) has an engagement rate of 0.129%, based on the median interactions across 48 original posts from the last 30 days against 230,975 followers. Replies, reposts and quote-posts of other people are excluded from that sample.
Is that a good engagement rate?
At 0.129%, dave the wave🌊🌓 sits above the 50th percentile of the 157,752 accounts in this comparison. Those comparison accounts are all large ones, because our scanning cadence is weighted towards big accounts, so this is a ranking among peers of similar scale rather than a ranking across X.
Does @davthewave have real engagement?
Its engagement rate beats 66% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (15,519 accounts), which puts it in the middle of its size range group. Ranking inside a size band matters because engagement rate falls as accounts grow, so a raw rate would mostly re-measure the follower count. It is a starting point for a look at follower quality, not a verdict on it.
When does @davthewave post?
Most posts go out around 19:00 UTC, and Monday is its busiest day, at roughly 4.23 posts per day across the measured window.
