A typical post picks up 696 interactions against 215K followers, an engagement rate of 0.324%. Measured over 14 original posts, its engagement rate beats 77% of 15,519 tracked accounts of a similar size. Comparing inside a size band matters here: engagement rate falls as accounts grow, so a raw rate would mostly just re-measure the follower count. Posts are seen about 32K times each, and 2.15% of those impressions turn into an interaction. That is about 15.1% of the follower count, which is the gap between an audience on paper and an audience in a timeline. Posting runs at about 3.1 posts a day over the last 30 days, with activity on roughly 60% of days. Most posts go out around 10:00 UTC, and Tuesday is the busiest day of the week. Of the 14 posts sampled, 14% carry an image or video, 14% are part of a thread and 64% link out. The account's strongest tracked post pulled 6.1K interactions, about 8.7x its own typical post.

Compared with accounts its own size

Amanda Carpenter's engagement rate beats 77% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (15,519 accounts, accounts of similar size (decile 8 of 10)). A percentile is spread evenly by construction, so 50 really is the middle of that group and 90 really is its top tenth.

On engagement per impression rather than per follower it beats 66% of the same group. When those two numbers disagree, the gap is about how far its posts travel rather than how people react to them.

Where this sits in the catalog

At 0.324%, Amanda Carpenter sits above the 50th percentile of the 157,374 accounts in this comparison. That places it in the above the median band, which runs 0.128% to 0.604%.

This account posts most often around 10:00 UTC, and Tuesday is its busiest day of the week. The bars below are the catalog-wide pattern, with this account's own busiest slot marked. They do not show how this account performs at each hour: we keep one aggregate per account, not one per hour, so that measurement does not exist in our data.

Formats this account uses

Its own posting mix on the left, and what each of those formats does across every account we track on the right. Only formats where the effect clears our publish test appear here, so an empty row is a format we could not measure rather than one that does nothing.

This account's posting mix compared with catalog-wide effects

  • 14% of this account's sampled posts carry an image or video. Across the catalog, posts with an image or video run 111% above the same accounts' other posts.
  • 64% of its posts carry a link off X. Across the catalog, posts with an outbound link run 41% below the same accounts' other posts, so a large share of this account's output sits in the weakest bucket we measure.
  • Its average post runs 395 characters, which falls in the over 280 characters band. Across the catalog, posts over 280 characters run 15% above the same accounts' other posts.

These are catalog-wide differences applied to this account's own posting mix, not a measurement of how each format performs for this account specifically. We keep one median per account, not one per format per account, so the second thing is not something this data can tell you.

Huge WSJ reporting breaking down Kristi Noem's DHS corruption and the role Corey Lewandowski played. Here's the gist: • Kristi Noem installed Corey Lewandowski at DHS as a “special government employee.” • Noem asserted control of DHS contracts over $100,000. Lewandowski signed off on big contracts before she approved. • While acting as a contract approver, WSJ reports Lewandowski pitched Qatar and the UAE on hiring him on the side to help with matters under DHS’s authority, like visas. • DHS’s IG is investigating potential contracting improprieties. Dems are also investigating allegations Lewandowski wanted kickbacks from government contractors. • Lewandowski has reportedly told he expects Trump to pardon him. https://t.co/pVbUHxND6m

Good news! Remember when the Trump Admin started using loyalty questions to screen people for government work? These questions have been used in more than 70,000 federal job postings. (!!!) That was blocked today. My colleagues and coalition friends have been fighting this from the start and scored a big win. https://t.co/BBeTWUj0Cc

If Fox fired Bartiromo because they decided pushing Trump’s election conspiracies presented too much liability, that should be a warning to all the other folks considering doing his bidding this election cycle. These lies are dangerous and have consequences. 787 million of them. Fox is not the only one who paid the price, either.

“You may wanna vote for people who back the blue.” @FBIDirectorKash delivers a pointed message on @seanhannity, saying Americans may want to support candidates who fund law enforcement, reject what he calls “socialism” and a “police state,” and put terrorists, rapists and drug dealers behind bars. The FBI director says agents and law enforcement partners across the country are “energized more than ever” by President Trump and his administration’s backing and resources. Then Patel points to the FBI’s work hunting down people around the world who seek to harm Americans, saying it’s happening “thanks to President Trump.”

I know some people are ambivalent or hostile to the idea of stopping the ballroom or tearing it up, but if you watched the Reflecting Pool debacle, you would have known the chance for shoddy work that needs to be torn up and redone ANYWAY was always the likely outcome. And, here we go. Corruption sucks; it always leads to crappy outcomes for taxpayers, and the bunker ballroom is our next example. https://t.co/VX4cRZlHRI

Here's a take. Why Trump's $5,000 bribe fiasco presents some good news. • Republicans are publicly trashing the idea, perhaps because they sense how weak he is ATM. • Trump’s polls are low, and they have more leeway to resist. As evidenced by their actions today. The more they say no to his big government overreaches, the better. • Trump has tried to tilt the midterms: by changing voting rules, restricting mail voting, redistricting. It's not working. So now he’s trying something else: Vote Republican and I’ll send you $5,000. • This won't work either. His authoritarian ideas are losing, all around. AND THAT'S GOOD NEWS.

Did you know spending taxpayer money on propaganda IS illegal and yes, there is a way to define that? Or, maybe just look at Trump TV. You know it when you see it. https://t.co/Utl9bQrmny

If the reporting is that Bartiromo was fired over telling Trump there was a secret policy against promoting his election lies on air, this is a Fox-Trump fight over his election lies. Not some obscure policy. About their unwillingness to promote the lies and also publicly cross Trump over it.

Reading these numbers

What is Amanda Carpenter's engagement rate on X?
Amanda Carpenter (@amandacarpenter) has an engagement rate of 0.324%, based on the median interactions across 14 original posts from the last 30 days against 214,691 followers. Replies, reposts and quote-posts of other people are excluded from that sample.
Is that a good engagement rate?
At 0.324%, Amanda Carpenter sits above the 50th percentile of the 157,374 accounts in this comparison. Those comparison accounts are all large ones, because our scanning cadence is weighted towards big accounts, so this is a ranking among peers of similar scale rather than a ranking across X.
Does @amandacarpenter have real engagement?
Its engagement rate beats 77% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (15,519 accounts), which puts it in the top quarter for its size group. Ranking inside a size band matters because engagement rate falls as accounts grow, so a raw rate would mostly re-measure the follower count. It is a starting point for a look at follower quality, not a verdict on it.
When does @amandacarpenter post?
Most posts go out around 10:00 UTC, and Tuesday is its busiest day, at roughly 3.13 posts per day across the measured window.
