A typical post picks up 161 interactions against 289K followers, an engagement rate of 0.056%. Measured over 41 original posts, its engagement rate beats 51% of 15,519 tracked accounts of a similar size, which puts it in the middle of its size range rather than at either end. Posts are seen about 9.2K times each, and 1.76% of those impressions turn into an interaction. That is about 3.17% of the follower count, which is the gap between an audience on paper and an audience in a timeline. Posting runs at about 4.2 posts a day over the last 30 days, though only 23% of days saw any activity at all. Most posts go out around 01:00 UTC, and Sunday is the busiest day of the week. Of the 41 posts sampled, 93% carry an image or video, 12% are part of a thread and 7% link out. The account's strongest tracked post pulled 6.9K interactions, about 43x its own typical post. Recurring topics include #wwe, #aew, #aewcollision.

Compared with accounts its own size

Wrestling News's engagement rate beats 51% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (15,519 accounts, accounts of similar size (decile 9 of 10)). A percentile is spread evenly by construction, so 50 really is the middle of that group and 90 really is its top tenth.

On engagement per impression rather than per follower it beats 61% of the same group. When those two numbers disagree, the gap is about how far its posts travel rather than how people react to them.

Where this sits in the catalog

At 0.056%, Wrestling News sits above the 25th percentile of the 156,969 accounts in this comparison. That places it in the below the median band, which runs 0.022% to 0.128%.

Engagement rate as a share of followers, across the 156,969 accounts we have scanned enough to measure. The axis is logarithmic, because the top and bottom of this population are about 26,068 times apart and a linear axis would flatten everything below the median into a single point.

They do not show how this account performs at each hour: we keep one aggregate per account, not one per hour, so that measurement does not exist in our data.

Formats this account uses

Its own posting mix on the left, and what each of those formats does across every account we track on the right. Only formats where the effect clears our publish test appear here, so an empty row is a format we could not measure rather than one that does nothing.

  • 93% of this account's sampled posts carry an image or video. Across the catalog, posts with an image or video run 111% above the same accounts' other posts.
  • 7% of its posts carry a link off X. Across the catalog, posts with an outbound link run 41% below the same accounts' other posts.
  • Its average post runs 436 characters, which falls in the over 280 characters band. Across the catalog, posts over 280 characters run 15% above the same accounts' other posts.

These are catalog-wide differences applied to this account's own posting mix, not a measurement of how each format performs for this account specifically. We keep one median per account, not one per format per account, so the second thing is not something this data can tell you.

Maria Kanellis says AEW extended her contract so she could recover from tumor surgery. On Wrestling Life with Ben Veal, Kanellis said the surgery was in October and the call came while she was still hospitalized. "They extended my contract out for three months when I was still in the hospital. So I get a call while I'm in the hospital. They want to extend the contract. You know, thank you for the blessing of having three months of recovery to kind of get back on my feet after that." On the tumor: "It's a one in a million tumor. They don't usually find it until you're dead. It changes your personality. It affects your heart. It makes your blood pressure do this. So you're just angry all the time. And so I think a lot of me lost my fight for really fighting backstage for what I wanted. I gained weight through it because it also affects your hormones. So it was just a really dark time." She said the tumor came alongside being split from The Kingdom and losing her Ring of Honor women's division role. "I was to the point where it was like, okay, I've got a tumor and I might die from it, and I lost my Kingdom, and I am now doing some stuff with Ring of Honor, but it's not a lot. And so I was also ready, I think, to be done." Kanellis now runs a florist business, is writing a book, and has three children at home. "That's not saying that the door is shut, but I'm really enjoying what I'm doing now." We wish her continued good health. #MariaKanellis #AEW #RingOfHonor #WWE #WrestlingNews

Roxanne Perez says fans need to respect wrestlers' privacy at hotels and airports. Perez spoke with OutKick before her AAA Reina de Reinas No. 1 contender match at Triplemania 34 in Las Vegas, after Paige's recent story about an autograph seeker following her through a connecting flight. "First off, I love my fans so much. We wouldn't be able to do what we do without the fans. I think these fans, they love what we do, they respect us so much. It is a big deal when they get to meet us and they get their picture signed. But it's also, like, we just gotta be careful on where we do it and when we do it." "We obviously have the arenas. There's an exact location where you go and meet the WWE superstars. That's always what I did when I was a kid. But also, when we are on the road, our hotels are our home. When we're running late for a plane and trying to catch our flight, and it does break my heart to tell people no, but at the same time, we do have to respect everybody's privacy." "We are just humans. We are WWE superstars but we are just humans. We're trying to live our life while also trying to make the fans happy. But there's gotta be some line. That doesn't mean we don't appreciate our fans at all. I just think there needs to be a little bit of a line. But we do love you guys, OK?" #RoxannePerez #WWE #AAA #Triplemania #WrestlingNews

Reading these numbers

A typical post picks up 161 interactions against 289K followers, an engagement rate of 0.056%. Measured over 41 original posts, its engagement rate beats 51% of 15,519 tracked accounts of a similar size, which puts it in the middle of its size range rather than at either end. Posts are seen about 9.2K times each, and 1.76% of those impressions turn into an interaction. What is Wrestling News's engagement rate on X?
Wrestling News (@WrestlingNewsCo) has an engagement rate of 0.056%, based on the median interactions across 41 original posts from the last 30 days against 288,875 followers. Replies, reposts and quote-posts of other people are excluded from that sample.
Is that a good engagement rate?
At 0.056%, Wrestling News sits above the 25th percentile of the 156,969 accounts in this comparison. Those comparison accounts are all large ones, because our scanning cadence is weighted towards big accounts, so this is a ranking among peers of similar scale rather than a ranking across X.
Does @WrestlingNewsCo have real engagement?
Its engagement rate beats 51% of the tracked X accounts closest to it in follower count (15,519 accounts), which puts it in the middle of its size range group. Ranking inside a size band matters because engagement rate falls as accounts grow, so a raw rate would mostly re-measure the follower count. It is a starting point for a look at follower quality, not a verdict on it.
When does @WrestlingNewsCo post?
Most posts go out around 01:00 UTC, and Sunday is its busiest day, at roughly 4.17 posts per day across the measured window.
